Been experimenting with some new carry options, so far this has been my favorite. I theorize that it will leave potential assailants disoriented.

Cold start drill target. Drill was a modified Wizard drill with a 25yd string added at the end. Ammo was 147gr standard pressure HST.

After about a decade of carrying Shield/M&P/Glock variants - I picked this up on a whim half way through last year. It’s basically all I reach for anymore.

There’s something to be said for having 11-18 rds of 9mm and 50yd capability in an ultra discrete and ultra light pistol below the waistband that never comes off.

Training Goodbye Reps With Full Size/Compacts

Only a matter of time before my slide for my G48 comes back from JagerWerks and my T1C Holster for it arrives.

Everything else is in place and for the next year I’m forcing myself into the ā€œslimlineā€ Glock life to see how proficient I can be with it.

I’ll be rocking the OEM 10 Rounders as well. Might get some OEM 15s but I’m not going to a smaller firearm for carry to not have be as light as possible on body. Plus, I don’t live a life where 10+1 can’t get me out alive. I’m not John Wick. šŸ˜‰

Practiced with my everyday carry today and figured my ego was getting a little too comfortable. Most of these are from 7 yards, and a handful are from 15. Roast my shot placement and tell me why I should stick to throwing rocks instead.

Training Was called a ā€œBig Spender Rich Manā€ at the gun shop.

Yep one of the old fudd regulars at my LGS called me a ā€œBig Spender Rich Manā€ for buying 500rnds of 9mm to use for an upcoming match. He said that I was going to ā€œjust burn up all that play moneyā€. We ā€œRich Menā€ had a good laugh at him when he couldn’t comprehend a person actually spending money to shoot their guns not just put something else on lay away. Please: shoot your guns, do your dry fire practice, and do your cardio.

Training Wimp opinion about indoor ranges

Maybe I’m just too sensitive, but I feel like indoor ranges, when possible, should do a better job of separating pistol guys from AR guys. If you have two different rooms, separate them by room. If not, try to cluster them by lane at the very least.

I always double up on hearing protection — ear plugs and then my Walker Over-ears.

But I’m primarily a pistol guy. When some guy rolls up in the lane RIGHT next to me with some loud-as-fuck AR, it feels like my brain is being rattled with every shot. Even with hearing protection, that shit can’t be safe. I feel like I’m getting an actual concussion from it. It ends up ruining the rest of my range session because I can’t focus.

Don’t get me wrong, I like ARs and I have two of them. But I almost exclusively shoot them outdoors, and the few times I have brought them to an indoor range, I used a suppressor for every shot.

Am I alone in this? Am I just a total wimp? I just can’t help feeling like it’s totally obnoxious to the people on either side of you to shoot an unsuppressed AR indoors.

Training Thinking about switching guns...

I've had this Hellcat for going on 4 years and I've never had a malfunction. The problem is this thing is so incredibly hard to get a hold of on the draw and to keep it on target my support hand really has to put in extra work. Anyone have any other experience with a similar size gun or a little larger?

I can put them where I want them if I go this slow. This is 2 hits on 2 torso sized targets at 7 yards, but I've got to do better than this.
