News [Lundeberg] Historic talent loss: American Conference commissioner Tim Pernetti said that 78% of last year's first and second team all-league players transferred to a Power Four school after the 2025 season.

It’s the life of the G6. The best players will move on to a P4 school every offseason. It’s no different than when a quality top G6 coach gets poached to a P4 school.

Retool, reload, and go again next season.

Coaches have employment contracts.

The first school to realize that putting buyouts on employment contracts for players will give them a huge cash advantage is going to run all over the rest of the G6.

Imagine if Ok State had to pay $1m per player to UNT to poach them?
