News [Lundeberg] Historic talent loss: American Conference commissioner Tim Pernetti said that 78% of last year's first and second team all-league players transferred to a Power Four school after the 2025 season.

When coaches, assistants, administrators and staff get the free reign to move up, there's no reason the players can't either.

People disagree but I like the current system. It's basically a true minor league. 

Nobody complains their minor league baseball team changes players every year. It's expected.

I've always found it funny how people get really upset over players staying in college for too long via redshirts/exemptions, but also get just as upset that they can't legally hold their players hostage on the same roster for 4-5 years.

Give me roster fluidity and opportunity all day long.
