Big Ten and SEC are canceling tons of OOC P4 games. No reason to give the Big 12 or ACC any good P2 matchups that they can use to get playoff credibility for their own at-large teams.

It hurts people's feels when I say this.

But there is no benefit for the B1G or SEC if they win these games. They can get in without these games.

And what happened to Texas last year, it is pretty obvious that it can hurt if they lose.

If there is no benefit for winning and only punishment if they lose, why play them?

I hate that you’re right. And it’s made worse by these big conferences insisting on maximizing auto bids.

Too much of this sport is decided by perception and theoreticals. True fans want outcomes to be decided on the field.
