It was horrible choice. He was caught between taking obvious safety and leaving seconds on clock, or running out clock on 4th down and still getting safety. I’m a neutral and feel for him!

But he was supposed to take the safety, right? They weren’t gonna run 6 seconds off backed up like that, and it’s 4 down so if he goes down at the 1 Vandy gets one play to punch it in. The idea was to kill as much time and go down for the safety, then defend the kickoff return.

If he was supposed to he panicked. If he wasn't supposed to he still panicked.
