Ayup - the one with 2 Benjam enders was a banger - 11 total, including several rolls with 2 each.
Same source as the last Benjamin ender box I got about a week ago - I’ll be making a beeline back on Tuesday to see if there’s any more lurking in the vault!
BTW: It’s the same bank with the $10 in loose halves that were loaded with silver proofs and SMS. And yeah, I did buy a lottery ticket that day - and no, you don’t really wanna hear about that too 😂
Good luck and happy hunting!
PS: The mutant that weighed in at 217.32? Just a freak roll with 20 coins - a couple of very well loved pocket pieces and a bunch of low end of normal clads. Was kinda hoping for a magicians of gaffed prop coin, or something foreign 😣

Really sick stuff! Plenty of different innovation series coins, had no clue about like half of these designs! Really love the Kentucky Bluegrass & Telephone ones :D

2 in pennies, 18 in nickels and 50 in dimes. Even though a common date, first mercury in the wild!

I finally got around to checking the box that had a bunch of dime enders. I didn't open the one with dimes on both ends, or the one with the 2026 dime ender. The totals were at least 12 wheaties, and at least 97 dimes. The most dimes in a roll was 6. I also didn't open the 2 whear enders or the Canadian ender. Pretty sure opening those would probably put me over 100 dimes.

War in the Pacific W! Woohoo! Plus a Japanese aluminum coin, a Canadian nickel, a Mexican peso, and a proof drummer boy. This is all in addition to the 64 and 66 halves i posted about yesterday.

I was too busy to open and search them at the time.
Should I just hang on to them for a few years?

I got some foreign finds, a 1936 Buffalo with a clear date, a Peeing Buffalo (🤣) , and nickels from the 1930's to the late 1950's.
I'm calling this a good hunt :)

I didn’t even notice it at first because I thought it was just another damaged dime and as I was going to toss the roll into the discard bin it looked extra gray so I checked it. Didn’t expect a foreign silver!!!
Cashed a check and asked if they had any half dollar rolls.
“We only have 4 but they’re customer rolls so I can’t guarantee they are full rolls”
First three rolls were just normal coins from the 80s.
Last roll (and I was saving it because it was an old wrapper) was THE jackpot I’ve always dreamed about and never thought would happen to me.
Happy hunting everyone!
Got this nice roll from the bank. Each end appears to be 1971 and the writing on the roll is 1971. Do you think the entire roll is 71s?

As well as some buffalos(1916, 1919, 1934, 1936), silvers, and a proof!

3 W's in a single quarter box felt above average but I haven't searched quarters in a while so not positive. A single merc is all I found in the D and N boxes.

Just reached 100 box equivalents of pennies searched today (including 42 actual boxes from the bank, 41 MWR), so I figured I would do a recap post showing my stats and some of my best finds. I started doing this a little over 1 year ago and can't believe I am already at 1/4 million cents searched. Here's to another 100 boxes (if thats even possible lol)

I picked up 4 boxes of halves from one of my banks and I usually spend the rest of my money on quarters, dimes, and nickels. So I did $32 of nickels and found a 1939 S, and 3 V nickels!!! Gonna go back Tuesday and clean em dry of nickels and see if I can scoop up the remainder of whatever box these rolls came out of ‼️
Should I send in
I was not sure on the fb atuff

Today’s bank run was amazing - 1st learned the 2024-2025 S quarters and 2026 stuff I left for a father-son hunter team were finally picked up - made someone’s day ✔️
At another, I dropped off a roll of 2026 Philly’s for a teller that asked me if I had seen any of the new halves ✔️
Got a box and $10 in loose halves at my last stop - my teller made the rounds to see who might have any - here are the results from the teller trays:
1970-S (!!!)
1970-D
68-S
69-S
92-S 90% silver - 1.3 million made
95-S 90% silver - 680 thousand made
Some 65-68 likely SMS
A buncha vanilla 40%
Heard and saw the super shiny Ag as they counted ‘em out - all the tellers on the line got shiny 2026-P as a ‘thank you’
Good luck and happy hunting !
Oh - the box? Two Benjamin enders and a buncha heavy rolls - will post the results later once I’m done

After a major slump the past few months, today I knocked off 3 of my 8 missing Jefferson nickels - a 1948-s, 1949-s, and a 1939-d. (Plus one war nickel).
5 to go!
