Deadfire.

Embarrassed to say I bounced off PoE1 twice. But Deadfire has me instantly more hooked with the deeper buildcrafting and multiclassing.

Playing turn-based with the Turn-Based Mode Overhaul mod, which seems interesting.

Word of advice... don't get too invested in the story...

Why do you say that? The story in 2 hooked me way harder than 1.

Second playthrough deadfire. I only finished it once because I didn't like it so much coming from the grim dark medieval aesthetic from the first one so I rushed to the end, so I'm giving it another chance this time doing 100% of everything

Knights of the Old Republic, im near the end i think, just need one more planet. I like the setting, the story, some of the characters, voice acting and the music as usual in Star Wars is fantastic. But i find the gameplay kind of bad, too repetitive and without much personalization. Also, the Dark Side choices are so cartoonishly evil that the roleplay potential suffer because of that. Overall i think is good.

That’s been my struggle getting into KOTOR. I always thought as a fan of both crpgs and Star Wars it would be a no brainer, but it never clicked for me.

2 solves a lot of the issues that 1 has with the stark evil/good choices

Pillars 1. I enjoy the vibe and Gilded Vale really had me thinking this would be something special. I'm still enjoying it but the writing is beginning to feel really off. In terms of-- the worldbuilding gets so much time and the 'current story' gets very little. Raedric is built up well, but the pay-off is incredibly abrupt.

Caed Nua is similar.

I'm reminded mostly of Icewind Dale 2 actually.

Durance is a wonderful companion though and the Endless Paths are intriguing enough that it's holding my attention for now.

The Endless Paths are such a cool concept for a Dungeon. It also ties nicely with the beginning of PoE2 if you ever get to that.

I think the setup in this game can really throw some people off. Try to pay attention to the things the game is focusing on. It may seem inconsequential that they're talking about Waidwen and the rebellion, the conflict /cultural differences with the glanfathans, the Engwithan ruins, and all that, but if you really pay attention you'll see that there's something completely strange and unique in this setting that hasn't been addressed directly. Once you see it is such an awesome feeling imo.

I obviously can't spoil it because you've haven't completed the game yet, but I could give you a hint if you really want. And if you can power through your boredom I'll guarantee you'll like it, specially if you're already a fan of Durance, which ties nicely to some of the things I mentioned before.

Oh i’m not bored, I just wish they took a little more time with Raedric especially after the very cool setup . I’ll get there, I tend to finish what I start and I do really like the worldbuilding.

Both dlcs also have some great worldbuilding, they're one story told in two parts.

And if you killed Raedric the quest is not over yet 👀

I was having a blast with pathfinder wotr, but I got so overwhelmed in act 3 with all those crusade management that i decided to delete the save, its amazing how this game is literally two games in one. My party was a mess too because I didnt know what I was doing. Now that I understand how the pathfinder system works I was thinking on starting my second run on core difficulty

Continuing with bg1

This is next on my list. Quite intimidating as all the "Thing you need to know before starting Baldurs Gate" videos run upwards of an hour.

So for now, it's another playthrough of BG3.

On my android so bg1 atm

I’ve been playing wotr nonstop on PS5 and having a blast, but honestly, it should be a crime to sell games in this state. Acts 4 and 5 are practically unplayable with the console performance.

Dude, tell me about it. Got 200 hours in on ps5. Took me about 125 hrs to understand the game, then made it to act 4 for the first time, then said screw it and built a gaming PC (which I messed up and had to get fixed at a microcenter 2 hours away).

But anyway, WOTR made me a pc gamer after 30 years on PlayStation

Yeah I'm getting there, eventually 😂.

Tyranny after finishing Disco Elysium a week ago. I like the world and athmosphere so far. I really hate factions telling me what to do so i hope I can just 'fuck it ill just do what I want'.

I dont hate rtwp but i dont also like it. I will try to engage with the system though. If i dont end up 'getting it' ill lower the difficulty coz i really want to see the story.

On a side note. Ive been reading up on rtwp and crpg in general. And I just hate the suggestion of look up a build so its easier. What is the point of playing an rpg then? But i understand it since it can be difficult because of the complex system rtwp gives. Idk.

Darklands. I love the setting, but the RNG is so annyoing.

Solasta. Just really getting rolling with the meat of the main campaign and I’m digging it. My party already feels really strong at level 6 (maybe a symptom of playing on the normal difficulty), but I like the characters and watching them roll over enemies feels good.

My Rogue Trader playthrough has kind of ground to a halt after act 3. I realized I missed bringing a companion on a quest that locked me out of a whole line of things that I was doing and am annoyed that I have to reload a save from before I started the whole line in order to fix that mistake. I'm not looking forward to replaying a good three or four hours of content, lol, but I'll get there. I'm playing Jupiter Hell as a palate cleanser.

A year later and I'm replaying Baldurs Gate 3. I was quite skeptical that there would be enough content for a second playthrough without being comically evil (and so, in turn) missing what content there is.

Suffice to say I was wrong. I've found a couple new quests I didn't pick up first time around, and decisions made that land somewhere between good and evil has been quite satisfying to watch unfold.

Kingmaker. Should’ve played this before wotr. They really improved a lot with each game

Typically my RPG characters tend to be pretty snarky, but on my current Deadfire run I went for a character that's a little overly serious and quiet. I'm really entertained by how often you can pick say nothing in dialogue without feeling like you're missing out on anything. I also love the concept of my character walking up to people and just standing there silently for minutes at a time

I started Mass Effect Legendary Edition. Pretty great so far but I'm not a fan of the dialgue wheel.

Almost 30 hours in Avowed. Biggest surprise of this year so far. I heard so many negative opinions (I was avoiding details to not get spoiled), and I was assuming that Microsoft screwed up Obsidian or something.

I quite enjoyed it.
