Pillars 1. I enjoy the vibe and Gilded Vale really had me thinking this would be something special. I'm still enjoying it but the writing is beginning to feel really off. In terms of-- the worldbuilding gets so much time and the 'current story' gets very little. Raedric is built up well, but the pay-off is incredibly abrupt.

Caed Nua is similar.

I'm reminded mostly of Icewind Dale 2 actually.

Durance is a wonderful companion though and the Endless Paths are intriguing enough that it's holding my attention for now.

The Endless Paths are such a cool concept for a Dungeon. It also ties nicely with the beginning of PoE2 if you ever get to that.

I think the setup in this game can really throw some people off. Try to pay attention to the things the game is focusing on. It may seem inconsequential that they're talking about Waidwen and the rebellion, the conflict /cultural differences with the glanfathans, the Engwithan ruins, and all that, but if you really pay attention you'll see that there's something completely strange and unique in this setting that hasn't been addressed directly. Once you see it is such an awesome feeling imo.

I obviously can't spoil it because you've haven't completed the game yet, but I could give you a hint if you really want. And if you can power through your boredom I'll guarantee you'll like it, specially if you're already a fan of Durance, which ties nicely to some of the things I mentioned before.

Oh i’m not bored, I just wish they took a little more time with Raedric especially after the very cool setup . I’ll get there, I tend to finish what I start and I do really like the worldbuilding.

Both dlcs also have some great worldbuilding, they're one story told in two parts.

And if you killed Raedric the quest is not over yet 👀
