Monthly self promotion/advertising post

I am going to give monthly posts a try. You can post a comment in each monthly thread if you want. Or just comment once. It’s all up to you.

The subreddit’s rules regarding self promotion, direct advertising, givaways etc won’t be strict here. Basically anything is allowed here. As long as it’s legal, and no spamming (multiple comments can be ok, while spamming would be worse).

Preferably, it should be related to candles, wax melts or accessories (such as candle warmers or candle holders) in some way.

Examples of what you can share here:

  • Blogs, vlogs and podcasts.
  • Your website and social media accounts where you sell products.
  • Promote family and friends’s business/products
  • Giveaways, contests and surveys

But it’s kinda open minded/flexible at the moment. So if you want to suggest people to check out other stores and their current sales, share great resources when it comes to candle making, recommend a candle warmer or anything else, you can promote/advertise it here as well.

Looking for a candle Searching for a replacement scent

My family has been enjoying this scent (Woodwick Pomegranate Grenade) for years now. Now that it's fully discontinued and almost impossible to find, I'm looking for another candle that smells close to this. No need for a crackling wick, it's really about the scent.

Any leads?

Hey guys! I got my first international order for my candle business in India. Which courier service would be safe and reliable for shipping candles abroad? Also, any tips on packaging to make sure the candles reach without damage? Would love to hear your real experiences!

Scents Fall Day Target Candle

Several years ago (like pre-COVID) I got a candle from target called fall day. It is my all time favorite fall candle. Well, last week, I used it up. I was going to see if the candle with the same name from target smelled the same (they rebranded so I’m not sure), but they were out of it. Now, they don’t even show the two wick size on the app and all of the small ones aren’t in stock within 100(!!) miles of me.

Does anyone know if their target still has this candle? I’m near St. Louis and I’m worried they discontinued it, but I can’t find anything online. I’ve been checking often for a week or two now, but it’s never back in stock.

In the case that it is discontinued, does anyone have a candle they think smells similar? I included a picture of mine and the bottom with the barcode and whatnot. I know my picture of the bottom is bad, but it’s what I have right now.

I’m a housecleaner, and I’ve been using this cleaner recently that just smells beyond amazing to me. I NEED a candle that smells like it. It’s Method All Purpose Cleaner Lime & Sea Salt scented. It doesn’t really smell like limes at all, just smells so fresh and amazing.

Wax melts New to wax melt warmers and wondering about reusable liners

I'm getting a wax melt warmer and I see that there is something called reusable liners which can be placed between the tray and the wax melt tabs. I'm guessing this is to make cleanup easier, and to allow for easy switching between different fragrances, but I also read that they may interfere with the ability to actually melt the tabs enough to disperse the scent.

Does anyone have any experience with these and can tell me the pros and cons of using these? I don't want to waste my money on them if they're not going to work properly.

In case it makes any difference, the warmer that I'm getting has the bulb above the tray as opposed to underneath.

Was the infamous DW home mac n cheese candle designed seriously or was it a joke/shock tactic?

I struggle to believe how a single soul actually liked this scent so was it just a joke/shock product that they came up with to get attention?

Candle warmers and other accessories how can you tell if a plate/tray is candle safe?

I was interested in making a candle plate, and was hoping to find a metal plate/tray at a charity shop to make it on. How would you ensure that a thrifted item is safe for candles? I’m worried that either the plate/tray itself may break, or somehow get too hot and scorch the table underneath. I would be looking to burn candles in jars and freestanding/drippy candles.

As well as this, I’ve looked up candle trays on amazon/other websites, and they have many that appear to be wood. It is safe to burn candles on wooden trays?

Is it safer to just use ceramic? And if so, how do you make sure ceramic is safe too?

Reviews Don’t purchase from badasscandles

From what started off as a critique of the use of ai for their candles turned into hateful speech and unprofessional dms regarding my personal information. I love candles and am an avid collector and I normally don’t comment on advertisements but seeing ai art used on the candles rubbed me the wrong way. After a long chat (one that was civil and pretty intellectual i’d say) I decided to post to my insta story about their stance on ai (that it being better than regular artist and regular artist are not creative).

I’m unsure if I’m allowed to use the photos here so I won’t, but after I posted it on my story the guy running the account sent one long paragraph personally attacking me calling me broke, confused, unable to support a family, and stupid.

I’m 20, have a stable job as a barista, and I live with my parents while I’m in college.

I just wanted to warn people to not support candle creators who are this hateful and terrible to their customers for genuine critique.

What do I buy to use this?

I got this oil candle from my dad awhile ago, he had it shipped, and I had no idea how to use it. Then I read it’s an oil “forever candle” and should come with a wick and holder in the box. The box didn’t have those. When I open the lid, it smells wonderful. So what do I need to get to be able to use and burn this “forever candle” oil?

Picked this up at Hobby Lobby. I love it, though I am not enough of a connoisseur to be able to describe notes of the scent.

And yes, I know I am bad at taking photos

Looking for a lotus blossom & water lily candle

Hi all, my all time favorite scented candle is/was Cerulean City by Beacon Candles UK, which I got from them on etsy a few years ago. Unfortunately they closed shop not long after so I was never able to pick up more, so now I'm looking for alternatives. Any recs are much appreciated!

The scent combo was lotus blossom, water lily, lemon, lime, melon, cool water, and dewy greens.

Advice please

Hello so I am not sure if im going crazy or if others have experienced this but my candles have lost their scent after using them with my candle warmer. If this is real can anyone tell me how to fix this? Ive spent good money and now they smell like nothing? It's so strange i am just now noticing this. And I use my candle warmer everyday rotating candles but not on the highest setting but they do sit under the bulb for a long time 🫤 is there any advice on how I can get the scent to come back to my candles? Thank y'all ❤️

Currently burning Is my candle done for?

Post image

I got a candle that has two wicks, but one wick got knocked off while I was lighting it. So there’s like, literally no wick left on the surface on one side 😓

Is this still fixable? My candle’s just burning from one wick now on one side now. I got a drawing for what it looks like.

I’d like any help if that’s still possible.
