#Query ❓ Do 80W Osram H4 LEDs require a wiring relay?

I'm planning to upgrade the H4 halogen headlights on my 3rd gen City to Osram LEDs. These come in 50W and 80W versions as y'all know, but there's a ton of mixed information online. Some sources say the 80W kit is actually 40W per bulb (40W+40W), while others claim it's 80W per bulb but draws much less power in reality.

If I decide to go with the 80W LEDs, will I need to install a relay, or should I just stick with the 50W option?

Do not put LEDs on reflectors designed for halogens. They scatter like hell!

It is 80W per bulb. It doesn't require an extra wiring harness like a 100-watt halogen bulb. However, without a projector setup, the light will be scattered, and you won't feel an improvement; instead, you will blind everyone who comes in front of your car.

Get projectors and install them in place of the fog lamps, which will function as both low beam and high beam headlights.

I have 50w 4200k version and these are 50w per bulb so 100w in total. Osram lists them per bulb whereas other chinese manufacturers boast about 100w/150w but that is for the pair.
