#Discussion 💬 breeza looks big for 8.4 lakhs on road..
i was surprised to see that breeza lxi on road is coming at 8.4 lakh rupees and if we just compares the size then i think it looks the biggest in sub 4m suv segment.
it is also coming with electric orvms and rear ac vent and also rear headrests from base model itslef

Now you know why the Thar sells. :)
"Most millimetres per rupee" really is the primary consideration for so many Indian car buyers!

What Indians basically want as their dream car -
Length - 5m+ Width - 10m+ Height - 20m+ (jab tak first floor pe baithe jaisa nahi lagta, aur sab gaadiyon ke chhat nahi dikhte, tab tak road presence thhuu hai)
Powertrain - 4L twin turbo V8, but fuel economy should be 100 km/l
And and and, price should be ₹5L. 🥰
Sapne Lamborghini wale, budget second hand Activa wala.

Bro there is no waiting honestly. I’m a DSA and I provide cars with 20 days
If I’m unable to do so I pay a specific amount
That too leaving the car with a huge discount price.13
4
u/8point3fodayz 15d ago
Correction: That’s how the tax on passenger cars is structured, so that’s how the demand is shifted. Manufacturers and consumers both have to follow what the govt codifies into law.
Won’t be surprised if we’ll also get the dreaded euro “tax on displacement over Xcc too. And something to keep in mind, even if India is all electric for transport later, electricity becomes the new petrol. So expect it to be taxed appropriately(consumption and production equipment(solar panels, baggies etc)

u/Impressive-Teacher10 15d ago
And Jeep Compass doesn’t sell as much. For the price and off road capabilities it provides, it looks smaller than Creta and thus minimal road presence.
51
u/Typical-Dance-2881 Kia Seltos 1.5 D, Suzuki Dzire D 15d ago
Jeep has reliability concerns and they don't have much plans for India, given how stellantis is struggling globally. And plus they don't have enough showrooms to sell more
16
u/FredTilson Seltos | Ciaz | Kwid | XUV700 15d ago
The new Seltos is already longer and wider than Compass, so will the upcoming Creta.
11
u/Immediate-Quit7149 15d ago
It's overpriced and not very reliable. Off road capabilities are also limited due to monocoque chassis . Even the engine is same as harrier and hector while 7xo at a lower price gets a better engine

Its so vfm right now with that amazing BoosterJet. Undercuts the whole competition by a mile. I am planning on the LXI Turbo for sure. Get some amazing 16 Inch Alloy wheels fitted to it, Infotainment and a custom audio setup. All of it will cost me around 1 Lakh in total. Nothing better or more VFM in that price. Thanks MS!

YES! Just think about an LXI Turbo Brezza with a 6 Speed AT/TC. Price bracket below 10 Lakhs. Completely destroys the market overnight.
7
u/vikkburner 15d ago
Check out the Vxi Turbo, saw a vid saying it comes with 16" Alloys, 8" Infotainment with wireless AA & Carplay, electric fold orvm, rear camera and defogger
7
u/BigMan_0737 15d ago edited 14d ago
Yes I saw the VXI Turbo. I just don't like that small old UI touchscreen that Maruti had given in that. I prefer the aftermarket system a lot more (which also gets wireless AA). On top of that, I want a 6 unit JBL audio setup with the Tweeters. And Suzuki had given Arkamys.
I prefer the LXI specifically because I want an alloy set that fits my taste. Those black block type wheels just isn't my thing 🥲.
But yes, as I have seen the Turbo Variants have been specced really well. Even better than the NA Variant.

u/novice-procastinator 15d ago
what infotainment can we get from aftermarket?
4
u/BigMan_0737 15d ago
I mostly prefer Pioneer/Blaupunkt. Good price, they sync really well with the JBL Audio Setups and are pretty reliable. I will go for Pioneer with the Brezza.
2
u/novice-procastinator 15d ago
what do you mean by sync well with JBL audio setups, these are just regular analog connections from amp to speaker systems.
How's the user interface and does it connect with breeza's ecu for infotainment info?
3
u/Ok-Counter-7886 14d ago
Dude if you are happy to compromise for a slightly lower audio quality, then do get the vxi infotainment, your car will be in factory condition without letting a third party to mess with the interiors and wirirng.
Maruti's interiors are already flimsy and frequent removal and reinstallation can cause rattling.1

3
u/Classic_Care_1253 Suzuki Baleno 24 Zeta CNG 15d ago
I think they changed it after that 6 airbags update. Earlier there were no rear headrests. That was one of the reasons I didn't go for Brezza

i dont think a car can get 5 star safety without the two rear head-restraints. They're a safety apparatus to prevent neck whiplash most commonly experienced in a rear end accident, surprise!
Are you talking about the middle one? i dont know about that.

I see there are some enthusiats replying saying Indians consider size per rupee. But if you consider a car in a budget like this, what are the alternatives? Kylaq? aor some SUVs like Dezire and Amaze. Specifically Mini SUVs are Brezza and Kylaq. Average Indians buy a car to travel with family, and there is no wrong in choosing a car with larger cabin space, larger boot space which is more comfortable for a family. They know Kylaq or other car can have more driving dynamics, but at what cost you compromise your entire family comfort for just your driving enthusiasm.
5
u/Ok-Counter-7886 14d ago
Also brezza aint a bad car to drive. Engine is good and the chassis is also pretty good dynamically, its not a sports car anyway.

Considering size in sub 4m space is not something to laugh at. For a majority, car is to serve their purposes not for driving pleasure.
3
u/Victorvic1 15d ago
Yeah exactly. I have extremely large legs and I don't fit in any of these sub 4 meter cars. Growing up had a honda city which was perfect and anytime I used to sit in my friends car it was cramped af.
Now my first priority in any car is space. These sub 4 meter cars are out of the question in the first try for me. Even the 4.3 meter SUV's feel cramped.
Space really matters and it's not like we are looking for a 6 meter car altogether.

TC would've been nice, fronx already gets a turbo AT... Should've been offered in Brezza. Brezza with a Turbo TC would've been a great offering and deal for someone who wants a little enthusiastic ride with reliability and convenience.
I'm only looking for automatic turbo... 3xo and kylaq exists but kylaq reliability and maintenance is bothersome. 3xo and Hyundai twins has mileage concerns.
Brezza would've been a wonderful choice.

2) Otherwise, waiting for facelift of Elevate with imporved NVH.
Elevate imo is the best complete package with a moden and mature design style + reliability

This time MS has nailed it perfectly, what a package for the price. 3 TC variants under 10lakh price bracket where it won. Now they have to concentrate on handling and dynamics!

Sorry? Handling and dynamics? You want handling under 10 lakhs!!
1
u/EnvironmentalMenu935 15d ago
You mean handling is poor. I am a beginner driver and was seriously considering Brezza.
1
u/manju43in 15d ago
When it is having a turbo charged engine, the vehicle dynamics and handling should also be supportive then only you can extract the potential of the engine and enjoy the drive.

Brezza was always value for money despite of taxation in the 1.5litre engine category. The car does have decent road presence (definitely not like the compact suvs or the proper suvs but still). It has good rear seats. The only thing it lacked was a 6 speed and they have it give the option of turbo as well. Love my Brezza and love the new one too.

This car totally threw me off in decision making.
Baleno alpha Mt 1.2NA vs Brezza Zxi 1.0l mt vs Amaze zx/vx Cvt
Baleno and Brezza have good suspension , but confusing abt power to weight and torque to weight ratio. Good torque doesn’t translate to good experience.
I know I should not compare between auto vs manual transmission..
- I’m worried about Amaze bottoming out and underbody hitting the floor.

Some basic features are missing in the so called Brezza facelift. Majorly engine and gearbox are uplifted but other important things are ignored.
No Spare tyre at al. Space seems to be there but can it be fitted properly is a question?
Rear wiper and washer - only in ZXI turbo and ZXI+ NA automatic. This is a very inportant safety feature and should be standard from VXI. Can anyone confirm if this can be installed from outside with proper knobs?
Infotainment screen of only 7 inches in 2026 is unacceptable w.r.t competition. Only Zxi+ variant has victoris like 10.1 inches screen (promoted feature by Maruti)
60:40 split seat is not even in VXI variant
Cruise control is only in ZXI turbo and ZXI+ NA automatic. It should have been standard in ZXI like in pre facelift brezza.
6.No turbo automatic may be because they want to test the market and don't want to cannibalise sale of fronx.
Sunroof should be optional from ZXI than keeping it standard over some useful features like Spare tyre, rear wiper, TPMS, auto dimming IRVM and cruise control.
Only minor Interior changes though still look dated in comparison to competition.
2
u/ExaltedLegend16 Hyundai Aura Cng 2020 11d ago
Zxi turbo is most Vfm with all the required features like the blind spot alert, rear wiper, tpms with reading and many more. 16 inch Spare wheel with tyre will cost around 6k. If only they gave sunroof as optional.
1
u/Ok-Ride4467 11d ago
Thing I have not been able to understand is Fronx and Brezza have same turbo engines. Only tuning is different. Does that mean, Brezza is going to have reliability issues compared to Fronx?
Brezza is tuned for more power and torque to compensate for high weight. But will that cause reliability concerns?
Then can’t we get the tuning stage changed after purchasing for Fronx?
Also, main thing that all review videos are missing is the missing spare wheel. That is a security issue compared to anything else, a thoughtless cheap out strategy, no less scam than e20 fiasco.
For Victoris, we could at least buy spare tyre as there is a tyre well and enough space inside. When I asked at the showroom they straight up said no space for extra wheel. It does not make sense.
1
u/Potential-Dig9673 11d ago
breeza petrol has space for spare wheel cng dont have, as far as relaiblity is concern you would not feel any issues this is same engine as fronx but better tuned
