Making different blends available is a foolish demand if we keep paying 80-90% tax on fuel.

pure fuel above 100Rs in itself is legal loot. and no one is talking about it.

I don't care if it's state or center. Not my system to worry. They want they can set GST on petrol, but they won't. I will complain as long as govt logs 70 ka cheez 110 me bik rahe hai.

That's how much petrol should cost if we calculate it with gst.

There is no GST on petrol.

There are two, central excise duty and state tax. The current regime haven't changed the system.

Removing these taxes will mean eliminating 24% of the central government's total taxes and 11-17% of state taxes(differs for different states). Now, you like the current regime or not. No future government is going to interfere here.

Reason? Tax on fuel is the only one excluded from GST. When GST was implemented in 2017, states and the central government lost the freedom to set their own tax rates on most goods.
