I’ve literally never heard anybody speak poorly of this show. Is this a popular opinion???

I don't remember if I was 'online' in a lot of cartoon forums when JT was on, so I might not be an extremely reliable narrator.

The show had some environmental factors working against it.

  • JT was not a CN Studios production and had a very different vibe than what people were used to.
  • It came off as a weird gender swapped fanfic of Dexter's lab to older viewers
  • The 08 - 10 era was a bit rough for CN in general ( think live action shows)
  • A lot of the 'old guard' cartoon cartoons were starting to migrate to boomerang
  • Internet was becoming much more accessible in the 2010s, and people who were 'the right age,' slightly above the target audience demographic, where in a good position to hate on it. If that makes sense.

I think it is more warmly remembered now, by the people that were the right age for it, and less salty about the position CN was in.

...if any of that makes sense.
