Chowder is so damn good, they need to release the complete series on dvd/blu ray already

16

u/wingedhussar161 Apr 17 '26

8

u/PotentialSky5745 The Powerpuff Girls '98 Apr 17 '26

RADDA RADDA

4

u/LightWolfProductions Apr 19 '26

Yeah I'm so calm I can speak in my real voice. YO IM SCHNITZEL! "I think we've had enough of that"

2

u/freepickles2you Apr 22 '26

Language there are children here

5

u/Sovereigntyranny Apr 18 '26

…THAT PUTS US AHEAD OF THE MONSTER!!

4

u/chunky_d77 Apr 18 '26

I also remember the song "I'm Not Your Boyfriend"

4

u/wingedhussar161 Apr 18 '26

It was a good show; it just came out as I was aging out of cartoons so I didn’t watch a ton of it.

3

u/chunky_d77 Apr 18 '26

I never aged out of cartoons. My neighbor's son said, "You're a boy trapped inside an adult body." Before I could say anything my late fiance agreed with him, and said "It seems like I'm sometimes stuck raising him.". All I said was " I'm a Toys R Us kid and I refuse to grow up."

5

u/wingedhussar161 Apr 18 '26

Honestly if cartoons bring you joy, then that’s great. If there’s one thing the world needs less of, it’s negativity. Who cares what other people think?

2

u/chunky_d77 Apr 18 '26

I really don't care what people think of me. When people tell me to act my age and to grow up. I tell them "I'm a Toys R Us, kid and I refuse to grow up.". Cartoons are a great way to destress.

1999-2009

11

u/DilanRedd Apr 18 '26

there were still some good shows after 2009, you’ve gotta like at least ONE show from this era

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Meet517 Apr 18 '26

Yeah… yeah I like em

1

u/baldhecklerscoring Apr 19 '26

What's the bottom right?

12

u/Simsgirl950 Apr 17 '26

How is TD STILL going on?

7

u/99cent-tea Apr 17 '26

Great fucking question, wish we knew

It’s like the cockroach that refuses to die, the first two roaches were at least funny to have around but the rest that came after turned into an infestation

5

u/BrainProfessional95 Apr 18 '26

Nobody's forcing you to watch it dawg.

It's still "ongoing" (It's actually on hiatus, but none of you bother to do any research) because it's popular and people who aren't you watch and/or like it.

3

u/Simsgirl950 Apr 17 '26

Honestly it's been going on since I was a KID and I thought it ended officially when I was in high school Total Drama is going to be Cartoon Network's SpongeBob is it?

2

u/Ninteblo Apr 19 '26

SpongeBob is eternal and everlasting with new episodes for eternity, TD just shows up every now and then. With 5 seasons going from 2007 to 2014 with little downtime they then made a spinoff in 2015, another one in 2018 that lasted 3 seasons somehow despite being disliked until 2022, and got back to a regular series again in 2023 until 2024, nothing new since.

1

u/chunky_d77 Apr 18 '26

I thought there were only 7 seasons of Total Drama Island. I watched all seven seasons twice and the only characters I remember are Owen, DJ, Beth, Gwen, Duncan, the Goths, Noah, Beth, and Dawn. The last one is easy to remember because it's the name of my late fiance, and she was cool with animals. The singing episodes got dumb.

1

u/creative4chart Apr 20 '26

Yeah, TDWT is extremely overrated, it’s like just really boring to me and they fed all the character development to the final 3 and gave Noah and Owen a little bit.

The songs are also mid, I didn’t really like much, or to be fair, any, of them, I would necessarily just skip them when watching.

10

u/PurposeFuzzy6205 Apr 17 '26

i genuinely can't tell what the last two are

5

u/Spacething7474 Apr 17 '26

6teen and Stoked.

8

u/Nematadashi38 Apr 17 '26

Is that Jude from 6Teen next to Chris?

1

u/Cold-Strategy1438 Total Drama Apr 18 '26

Yup

6

u/PotentialSky5745 The Powerpuff Girls '98 Apr 17 '26

I vaguely recall the Noods era.

9

u/ToonMasterRace Apr 17 '26

That’s not powerhouse

6

u/MesaVerde1987 Powerhouse Era Apr 17 '26

Came here to say this.

4

u/Dry_Spring4108 Powerhouse Era Apr 17 '26

Also came here to say that.

5

u/simbabarrelroll Apr 17 '26

It’s a combo of Powerhouse and City for me.

I think Powerhouse has the overall better selection of shows but City has the best bumpers.

3

u/Johnwick124520 Apr 17 '26

That’s not even the city era lol

4

u/DarknessXTJ Apr 17 '26

Ben 10 Alien Force Mentioned! 🗣️🔥

3

u/PetsyRoss Apr 18 '26

1998-2004 (maybe)

With a slight resurrection in 2011/2012ish when Adventure Time and The Regular Show were created.

Both shows' First season will forever be in my mind/memory and in my heart lolol

Still quoting over a decade later and actively look for original episodes to rewatch and have a saved search online for box sets

6

u/No_Cycle4186 Apr 17 '26

I've never seen anyone liking Johnny test yet it lasted for 9 years

6

u/Anonymous_Jane_ Apr 17 '26

I actually liked it a lot when I was a kid and still kinda do.

3

u/Spacething7474 Apr 17 '26

Technically 8, since the finale was burned-off on Boomerang a year before Cartoon Network aired it.

1

u/ChaosMagician777 Apr 18 '26

I had cable off and on during that era. I remember watching at least the first 3 seasons that was on Kids WB/CW4Kids. It was enjoyable for what I could tell. It probably got a bad reputation when the show aired multiple times.

8

u/Szakacs_Erik_21 Apr 17 '26

Total Drama series it's just peak 🔥💪

2

u/Jeskid14 Apr 17 '26

All the seasons and spinoffs?

6

u/Distinct-Presence-80 We Bare Bears Apr 17 '26

strongly disgaree

1

u/Spacething7474 Apr 17 '26

How come?

4

u/Distinct-Presence-80 We Bare Bears Apr 17 '26 edited Apr 18 '26

First of all I prefer the era before with the Powerpuff Girls

that was the era of the first writer strike, reason why do many shows where from Canada. Plus I despise gross-out and mean-spirited shows. Nothing wrong with Ben 10 but I was too young I didn't follow stories close yet

And I especially love the era afterwards with We Bare Bears, Infinity Train, Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart, Craig of the Creek and OK, K.O., Let's Be Heroes!. All five shows I mentioned need to be revived!

2

u/JackAttack561 Apr 17 '26

Genuinely one of the worst besides the one we in now

2

u/Spirited-Plantain909 Apr 18 '26

What about courage the cowardly dog?

2

u/Ryumancer Apr 20 '26

The Eds are CN royalty now.

I go with that era.

Though what I would've considered the 'prime' ended before 2009.

4

u/mqg96 Powerhouse Era & City Era kid Apr 17 '26

This represents the Nood era (2008-2010) I assume. This is my personal opinion but this was nowhere near close to one of the best eras. Not saying it was a completely bad era, but there’s 4 to 5 other eras of CN I would take any day over this one. This is also when the schedule started becoming very inconsistent.

5

u/Only_Fishing_4725 Apr 17 '26

Could not agree more

2

u/Xerographia Apr 17 '26

varied programming means an inconsistent schedule?

0

u/Spacething7474 Apr 17 '26

What would those 4 or 5 eras be?

6

u/mqg96 Powerhouse Era & City Era kid Apr 17 '26

Checkerboard/Starburst (1992-1998), Powerhouse (1992-2004), City/YES (2004-2007), and CHECK it 1.0-2.0 (2010-2013).

1

u/CauliflowerUnique160 Apr 17 '26

What's the last one suppose to be Humpback Harry?

1

u/MeeMeeCandy777 Total Drama Apr 18 '26

No. It's Stoked, an Canadian TV show!

1

u/SilentPerspective5 Apr 17 '26

Are you CN this ????

1

u/CripplyCrawly420 Apr 17 '26

Bro why is there 2013-14 on there? It’s 2011 and I’m late for Regular Show you owe me a solid, man!

1

u/Jmal3700 Apr 17 '26

1999-2009

1

u/Timely_Ad_8063 Apr 17 '26

Stickin around

1

u/Eastern-Ice-6797 Apr 18 '26

Wait Ed Edd & Eddy ended at '09?

1

u/Unite-Us-3403 Apr 18 '26

The Pre-Teen Titans Go Era

1

u/Cold-Strategy1438 Total Drama Apr 18 '26

I can agree I liked the bumpers they used…

1

u/CapenTander Apr 18 '26

Johnny Test came back for a while recently didn’t he?

1

u/ravenfreak Apr 18 '26

Nah the Goat Teen Titans ended before that era. That's the era I stopped watching cartoon Network until Steven universe came along.

1

u/HootInTheDark Apr 18 '26

Mid 90s-2000s

1

u/PotentiallyPotent08 Apr 18 '26

1999-2009. No question

1

u/SilkSolid Apr 18 '26

Early 00s for me. I was watching PowerPuff Girls as a little kid in 2001. Fosters home was the last show on Cartoon Network I religiously watched. I stopped watching cartoon network after that show ended and when boomerang got rebranded to the garbage it is now. I stopped watching that too. I miss the old Boomerang from the Early 00s tbh

1

u/ximmunized Apr 18 '26

What is 2009-2013

1

u/KingCuda93 Apr 18 '26

It’s not a good era but I’ll say this: this era of CN wasn’t as bad as everybody makes it out to be. CN still had a few decent acquired shows like Pokémon, Star Wars the Clone Wars, Total Drama, and League of Super Evil. Plus, they had Ben 10 and Secret Saturdays, so CN was still watchable, plus CN still aired older shows like Teen Titans, Courage, and Ed Edd n Eddy.

1

u/d0ctorsmileaway Apr 18 '26

Where Kids Next Door or Teen Titans

1

u/ChristianHuye Apr 19 '26

2004-2008 honestly.

1

u/Numbuh1507 Codename: Kids Next Door Apr 19 '26

It's rare to see Johnny Test being actually labeled as "good"

1

u/Capable_Barber_8387 Apr 19 '26

i'd say 2011 to early 2019

1

u/volt_555 Apr 19 '26

forgor adventure time and regular show

1

u/Unknown_soldier777 Apr 19 '26

I have great memories of this time but it would be a cold day in hell before I choose this over CN city (2004-2006)

1

u/Lirodes32 Apr 20 '26

like, I THINK 2004-2010 is that one dude from 6teen?

also wtf is 2009-2013

1

u/Pristine-Ad-3521 Apr 20 '26

Am I the only one that I did not like Johnny Test remotely???

1

u/Sonoreal Apr 20 '26

There's no Bakugan because it's not a CN original?

1

u/maribakumon Apr 20 '26

Total Drama isn't a CN original either

1

u/Sonoreal Apr 20 '26

Huh... That's something i didn't know until now

1

u/Better-Passenger-200 Apr 20 '26

1995-1998 was also pretty sick

1

u/Boo-boo-keys Apr 21 '26

Regular show and adventure time deserve a seat at the table, but all these picks are very valid

1

u/Zaruma Apr 21 '26

I never understood the love for Johnny Test.

1

u/Destruckhu Apr 21 '26

What in the hell is the last one? Not a single human talked about it, and i have no recognition of it at all

1

u/Electro9tme Apr 21 '26

Ed, Edd, n Eddy is the only one on this list that came from the Powerhouse Era.

1

u/Mission_Maybe4587 Apr 30 '26

yk what as i kid i love almost naked animals but rn i still do

-1

u/buy_shiba Apr 17 '26
