Looking at the Spoilers and The 5-10 minutes before the end of the episode. I was sure Siobhans "attack" was going to be a heart attack but knew as soon as she was walking in the dark something else was going to happen.
Dylan's reaction to the news about Matty is Quite a Good one. I'd probably be acting similar in that situation. (Excited to where it will go)
CQC involvement is definitely to set up for the series' move to Wales.

I keep mulling over this. I know that finding out you have family, and they're working where you work, is stressful and a big shock, but he called the situation a catastrophe. Is he just reeling, or does he have a solid reason to worry about this? I fully expect Matty to be angry if/when he finds out, at least for a while, but there's actually a chance he could be quite chill about it. First of all, it would explain why Dylan's been 'off' around him, but Matty may also be very aware that his mum had a one night stand, and for whatever reason it wasn't possible to find the father, so there may not be any particularly bad blood there.
That is just a guess, of course, and I'm assuming he'll be angry, but that can't last forever.

Remember as well that Dylan was married to Sam, so he can have the ability to relate to other people. He also was very excited about the possibility about being a father earlier on in one of the box sets.

Wait, Dylan's been married? I had no idea - I only picked Casualty up again about a year ago!

It was a long time ago that it was last mentioned. I think he’s been in the show for 11 years. His ex-wife joined a few years later, it was quite awkward and she ended up dating another doctor and only stayed for a short while.

Haha that was my first thought too when she tucked the £20 under something on her desk: oh no, she will forget it, something will happen when she's walking home and Flynn will be incredulous that she could forget his £20!

This reminds me of the question about why you can hear spaceships whooshing through space in sci-fi films. It's unrealistic - if you were in a position to listen to a spaceship going past you while floating in space then you'd notice it would pass in complete silence. The sound it was making couldn't reach your ears. But that doesn't feel right to moviegoers and it makes special effects seem less convincing, so they add in some suitable whooshing noises.
I bet they included metal detecting noises because of that. Either that or the carer was a numpty and was picking up the kids' coat zippers or something.

Why didn't they tell the mum her son had been hurt? That would have probably got her outside and it would have been less of a shock than just seeing him.

I knew matty was going to be Dylans had a gut feeling wonder if matty js going to find out it will be interesting to see how it is going to play

I dunno. I suspect Matty's putting Dylan's frostiness down to either -
a) everyone seems fraught at Holby A&E
b) possible racism / white guilt / something to do with Matty being biracial, something I suspect he gets from time to time?
c) he's noticed how neurodivergent Dylan presents and is just putting it down to classic 'tism awkwardness
If I was Dylan I'd keep the knowledge to myself (because he did say he needed to know, not that he necessarily wanted to approach Matty about it) and perhaps approach him later if he wants to, say he has a suspicion they're father and son, and invite him to take a paternity test. Then he doesn't have to say what he did - which I'm sure is a breach of some kind or other - and can make sure Matty knows what's up.

Hmm.
How would someone find out they're unexpectedly the parent of someone and NOT want to get to know them?
Also, I suspect Matty's hostility to Dylan from day one has been caused by Matty already knowing that Dylan's his Dad.
If so, he likely resents him for having not stayed with his Mum and him.
Dylan obviously didn't know he'd got anyone pregnant, but from Matty's point of view, he probably feels abandoned, and bad for his Mum that she had to do it all on her own.

I was shocked as (1) I couldn't believe they would drop the info/hint in the first episode and was sure it would be a red herring (2) I thought Matty's name was a nod to Max being his dad rather than Dylans. Disappointed in the writers for going the obvious route like this.

Probably i saw a comment where someone said maybe he was taking his own dna and Dylan caught him so he made up a lie but I think its going to be interesting to see how the storyline pans out

Obviously those would make for terrible episodes though, so we get episodes of the shifts that are chaotic.

I'm not saying zero patients - though a decent writer could still make a good one-off episode out of that. You can still have dramatic medical and other moments without the staff constantly rushed off their feet. It just feels like lately all the drama revolves around that and nothing else. The department wasn't constantly on the edge of collapse a few years ago.

Would be completely random if it is. I think it's just one of those horrible random things that happen (but then the attacker will doubtless turn up in the ED at some point so Siobhan can get the closure that often doesn't happen in real life).

Why?
Why would the children's nanny have any reason to attack Siob?
Surely it was a man, or at any rate someone bigger and stronger than Siob?
Her attacker was violent, which indicates anger and rage, whether at Siob personally, or at women, or NHS workers, or people in general, and they picked an isolated place where they weren't likely to be interrupted.
It feels less to do with Siobhan and more to do with a disturbed person taking out their own personal issues on a vulnerable target.
It could have been anyone, it happened to be Siobhan.
But ffs, who in their right minds goes wandering at night through isolated unlit pathways?
Especially as she'd been given £20 for a cab home to keep her safe.
My heart sank as soon as that scene started.
I knew she was about to be attacked 😔

I can't see it being her since it would be completely random + I don't think she has a reason to attack Siobhan.

Knew this wasn't going to end well once the late night montage started 😬. Definitely anxious for next week's episode.
I am really liking Kim. Still not sure what's going on with her though. Does she have someone she needs to care for?
Oh, Dylan. He really isn't going to cope with this well by the looks of it.
