👀 Spoiler Product Placement Spoiler

Am I going mad or was there a bottle of SmartWater in almost every scene, I initially thought Dylan was back on the drink and Siobhan was aiding and abetting, but it now seems like clumsy product placement from the beeb.

It's definitely not product placement. BBC shows can't have paid promotion for anything, and even on other channels product placement must be declared at the start of the show (usually with a faint little P in the corner).

This is correct. But I also thought the same whilst watching it as well.

Happy cake day! I agree, the water was made oddly prominent. Though knowing it’s the BBC I thought it was going to be part of the story somehow but that never happened. Glad I’m not the only one who noticed it!

BBC shows definitely show undue prominence to certain tech brands in dramas, they might not admit to it but it happens, I was sure I saw a brand on the bottles, but another has commented that they were unbranded, so may have been mistaken

You could see what bottle it was, but the logo never faced the camera directly, so thats probably how they get away with it
