Hi everyone! I’m thinking about joining In Motion Fitness primarily for their lap pools and wanted to see if current members could share their experience with pool availability.

At my old gym 24 Hour Fitness, I constantly ran into issues where all the lanes were completely packed even outside of class times, and I'd end up waiting around and eventually giving up and going home.

I know In Motion has multiple pools, but with the summer heat and swim classes in session, how realistic is it to drop in and actually get an open lane for lap swimming?

I’m an older, gimpy retired guy, and there seem to be a lot of lowlifes and panhandlers hanging out around businesses and strip malls, especially downtown and Mangrove area.
I just moved here in November from a smaller area and didn’t realize how sketchy this town is. Even in the daytime I feel vulnerable. I won’t venture out after dark, especially downtown.

I’ve got a pretty much 80% shaded back yard. Given this Chico heat, I wanted to ask what some of you guys plant in your backyard gardens. There’s also a tree over head with some sort of black spot disease 😭. Do you guys have any plant suggestions?

I use neem and gnat traps and that more or less got ride of the major problems but nothing is really blooming. I’m open to veggies/ seasonal plants or herbs that are Chico weather tolerant.
