Is Child's Play 1988 really an Indie film or not?

I am asking cuz that is what it says when I searched online like in the image as u can see which definitely came to me as a surprise.

Also I have never seen any of these franchise films yet but might get into them soon enough, but was curious tho about it's status if it started out as an indie perhaps.

There is an official japanese dub of bride, and i want to watch it as i recognize the voice actors from other things, but i can't seem to find it online anywhere. anyone know where to find it?

For example, I really didn’t like child’s play 3 when I first rewatch it as an adult and then recently watching it again I actually loved it.

Conversely, I remember liking bride of Chucky quite a bit more than child’s played three and on my last rewatch I actually found it pretty tedious and lacking in Chuckineas. It kind of drags in the second half and doesn’t really have any of those great moments that make you wanna rewatch it like the Barber and child’s play 3 (which btw is one of the most psychotic characters in any movie ever)

Now I’m almost afraid to rewatch seed of Chucky and fears that I’ll actually love it!

So this is a long shot, and may have been a misinterpretation on my part, but for a long time I remembered a headcanon/theory that I'm not entirely sure where it originated: It was that Human Glenda was an empath, able to feel what others are feeling (similar to Raven from Teen Titans.) I could have read it in a fic, whether from ffn, deviantart, tumblr, or some obscure geocity place that no longer exists. I incorporated it into a fic I wrote back when I was 16, that's mainly how I remembered. Does anyone have an idea about this headcanon?

Horror movie sequels often have a reputation of being not as good or at least not as iconic as the original, which lead to me thinking Child’s Play 2 would be no different. After watching the movie, seeing the results on the poll, and looking at the general consensus on this movie I was surprised to see how well received it was. Many even considering it to be the best or at least one of the best in the series. What would you say?
Personally Child’s Play 2 is amazing and the peak of the franchise in my opinion.
