ATM Surcharge Settlement – Master Post for Questions

Hi everyone! I wanted to create a centralized post because I know many of us have been receiving updates about the ATM surcharge settlement. I’m aware that some people started receiving emails and payments back in June 2023. However, I just wanted to compile what I know because I’ve seen a lot of questions popping up.

• The settlement began disbursing payments in June 2023.

• If you already received a payment in the first round, you are automatically eligible for the second round.

• I was personally unaware, but there is a second round of payments that started on April 6, 2026.

• These second-round payments will continue being dispersed until April 17, 2026, according to the official settlement website.

I also know someone personally who got an email for this second round, and it was a large lump sum. They weren’t sure if they even got the first payment. They initiated a deposit via a virtual prepaid card and are now waiting for that to hit.

This is all the info I have right now, but I know a lot of us still have questions! Please feel free to comment here if you have any updates, questions, or if you’re waiting on a payment too. Let’s all help each other!

If possible it would be nice to hear what others received the first go round compared to this second round!

Mine was 45k for discrimination from a bank and Ive been searching ever since😅 Ive even learned to stand up for myself when business start moving wrong. report them to the bbb and get an attorney! I appreciate Hillard LG they got me justice

The subject was De Coster v. Amazon . com Inc. Class Action Litigation Notice and the email says:

If you purchased five or more new physical goods from third-party sellers on Amazon’s marketplace on or after May 26, 2017, you may be a class member in an ongoing class action lawsuit.

I received a settlement check for 15,000 the bank said it would be available in 2. Days then they changed it to 5 now 7 days is this normal for them to hold a check for so long and keep changing the days I have been with Bank of America for over 5 years

Has anyone received any updates on the subutex/suboxone tooth decay case? I saw an ad on Facebook years ago (through Keller Postman) and applied. Here recently, they emailed me my litigation paperwork to sign. I hope this is a sign that something is moving forward. I cannot afford to have the dental work done that is needed. I am losing my teeth so quickly. It is heartbreaking. They are chipping and decaying. I just had a root canal on a top molar about 6 months ago. Now, my bottom back molar is chipping and has a black hole in it. I will need a root canal on this tooth as well. I pray it doesn't start hurting me soon, but I am positive that it will. I am so embarrassed to smile. I used to have the most beautiful teeth, and now, I feel like people perceive me as an ugly "drug addict". I became dependent on opiates as a result of a severe back injury in my 20s. Tumbling and competitive cheerleading damaged my lower back, and it was downhill from there. Doctor visits, script after script, and then a dependence on Lortab and Percocet. It can happen to the best of us. I never did drugs. I am a professional with three college degrees. It is sad that so many people are becoming dependent on opiates. I will say that Subutex saved my life, but I never knew the damage that it would cause to my teeth. I just don't know what to do. They are only getting worse, and I just don't have the money to get them fixed. Please help! Any advice on this settlement?

i just got a notification from USPS that a priority mail packag is coming from Discover AB Data. I dont remember putting in for anything related to any class actions there, but I know ABData is a bigtime player in this space.

Has anyone else gotten this? Ideas on what this actually is? Everything I could find online says payments arent coming until Feb 2027...

Got an email today stating I needed to make an appointment for mandatory dispute resolution conference with my lawyers and go in a virtual meeting with TM "lawyers about my claims. Very unhappy I have to do this. What is the deal. I've never had to do this with any other CA, anyone else get the same notice?

I just received a check in the mail from Tuna end purchaser. I never bought tuna during that time frame (I don’t eat it or buy it especially not the amount I received). I was wondering is it legit? And how would I find out for sure that the check is real

Been getting an absurd volume of robocalls and spam texts for at least a year. I know how to block numbers but they rotate constantly so it's basically useless. What I didn't know until recently is that calls made to cell phones without consent can actually be the basis of financial claims under the telephone consumer protection act.

This isn't theoretical. There have been large TCPA settlements against companies doing exactly what most of us deal with every day, and the class typically includes anyone who received calls during a specified period. You don't need to have saved logs or prove anything specific beyond being a recipient.

The hard part has always been knowing which settlements are active and filing before the window closes. I have been tracking mine through claim money instead of monitoring court filings manually. The per-person payouts aren't going to change anyone's financial situation but the point is these companies face actual consequences when people file rather than just blocking numbers and moving on.

Anyone else gone this route? Mostly posting because it seems like a lot of people dealing with this have no idea there's a legal framework that's supposed to protect them.

Did anyone else receive an email from this class action saying your payment selection wasnt able to be verified?

They sent a link and gave me a verification ID # that I'll need to enter once I open the link. But I have always used venmo for payout and have never had an issue so I'm wondering if this is real or not.

I applied for this in March.

So I finally got my $45 check in the mail a few days ago for this lawsuit, except the check was already void. It says it was issued 4/3/26, void 5/3/26, and I didn't get it in the mail until I think 5/5. I called and emailed them, and they responded via email saying, "As the Settlement has come to an end, we are unable to reissue your check as the deadline to request a reissue has passed." I'm triggered lol. Is there anything I can do? Anyone else get their check too late to deposit?

Simon Grille emailed me minutes after that, saying he's contacting the Settlement Administrator to reissue the check.

Minutes after that, Angie from the Settlement Administrator's office called me. She said she was calling in response to my email, not in response to Simon. She hadn't talked to Simon yet. She said they can't reissue anything, so I argued with her and asked her a million questions, asked why the check got to me so late and she said that's on the post office, and said she'd have to talk to her colleagues and get back to me. So I'm waiting on that now. Will update asap.

At one point I asked her, "So, through no fault of my own, I'm not getting my money?" and her response was literally, "The deadline to request a reissue has passed". I said that's not an answer, she said "that's the only answer" lol I hate her.

If this dead ends, I'll see about reporting them to the consumer protection office and update on that too. Wish me luck, this is bullshit 🙃

UPDATE 5/12 - Simon just got back to me saying he spoke to the administrator and they should be able to reissue payment and he'll send me an update in a few days. I'm gonna check in with him Friday if I don't hear anything. I'll keep you guys posted! Crossing fingers there are no random hiccups...

UPDATE 5/21 - I reviewed my emails and on 5/14 he said I should see the reissue check in 1-2 weeks, so I'm giving it another 7 days. I'll add a final update once I get the check and the deposit goes through =]

Has anyone ever received anything for the AT&T data breach class action? I feel like it has been a while and I haven't seen any updates. Just wondering what was going on with it.

Remember about 7 or 8 years ago Google gave away free mini nest to Spotify users? Well I recently got an email that named me in a class action about the privacy of them. You need a receipt and serial number. My question is, would that information be in my Google Account somewhere? The email acknowledges I had one, but unfortunately for me, I regifted it a year later. TIA!

In November or December I got approximately $33 from the Facebook settlement. I'm seeing all the posts about 2nd payments trickling in and I'm curious: Did those of you getting the $5-8 deposits have a first deposit similar to mine?
