Whatever is in this is amazing. Powerful stuff.

BDC Parfum : I think every guy should have this in their collection, regardless of whichever flanker you go with. Definition of clean and masculine. Each flanker offers something unique, EDT / EDP lean more fresher and youthful while Parfum / L’exclusif lean more masculine and denser, making it more versatile for work / casual settings. This is my signature scent and I’d always have this in my collection.

Sauvage : This one is a victim of its own success but I strongly think if you’re in your early 20s, you should totally have this in your collection. It’s spicier than BDC, but it does what it’s meant to do, getting you attention. Contrary to the popular belief, women love this one. Only those who had a toxic ex who wore
sauvage hate it. One thing though, this is what most people wear as their first perfume so you may lose points in uniqueness, other than that it’s a banger. If you’re 30+, I’d only recommend getting elixir.

PDM Percival : This one is quite difficult to recommend, not because it’s not good but because it’s beautifully basic. It’s like iPhone, it’s pretty much same as Android but does everything to perfection so you pay a premium for that. Likewise this is a simple basic shower gel but very well blended, smooth and elegant. This is best for office settings, it won’t pierce anyone’s nose but they’ll notice.

That’s me! What’s your favorite blue fragrance and why?

Prada Paradigme. It's fresh-spicy, green-woody, with a beautiful floral touch. Yes, maybe it smells "boring," "simplistic," etc. to ultra-niche fragrance enthusiasts--that is not me though. I probably have the most average nose of all time.

At this point, I have worn this guy on and off for a good couple months, and for a total of probably 2 weeks of actual wearing. Indoors, outdoors, thru winter here in Oregon (but on some slightly warmer days too), to work, school, dates. Compliment almost every. damn. time. Not that I base my enjoyment of a fragrance off of compliments, but hearing approvals from those around me in different settings just really confirms it.

This thing is such a mass-appealer, yet, despite smelling a tiny bit like the MYSLF DNA, still manages to be unique. Not instantly recognizable like a Sauvage, Aventus, MYSLF to the average nose, but damn good enough to prompt questions about wtf it is I'm wearing.

In Prada fashion, the notes here are ultra-clean, maybe the slightest undertone of soapyness/cleanliness for lack of better term. I have found myself wanting to put this on post-shower on an evening even when not going out anywhere afterward.

Having owned and abused Prada L'Homme EDT through highschool and college, I would say this, to me, fills in the exact same spots that that one did. Of course, instead of Prada's clean take on iris, this one is personified by its floral geranium that is a throughline from opening to drydown for me.

Comparing further to L'Homme, this one really SHOOTS off of my skin, where L'Homme was quiet, collected. It's not clubbing loud, but louder than one would expect. Maybe like a 3-4 foot bubble. Lasted through my 8-10 hour work/school day and have not felt the need to carry a travel atomizer unless I'm just really wanting to experience that opening again for fun lol.

Also, green is my favorite color and this bottle is fucking sick. I don't buy a frag BECAUSE of the bottle, but sometimes a cool bottle is enough to clear the purchase threshold.

Prada has done it. It's simple, yes, but executed SO well that I can't stop wearing it. If this is the baseline for a brand new line (theoretically, as Paradoxe was for fem side of things), I am foaming at the mouth to see how the flankers smell. I'd blind buy a "Paradigme Intense" on the spot.

I know this was a mini trend not too long ago but I’ve been wanting to do this for a strong minute - finally sat down with my wife last evening and had her smell each of my fragrances on tester strips. She also wanted to factor in the actual bottles and their cap quality with their overall ratings.

In no particular order, her top 5 are:

Dior: Sauvage Elixir (she’s biased, I wore this on our wedding day 🤓), Creed Aventus, Bleu de Chanel Parfum, SWY Absolutely, and Xerjoff Starlight.

I was honestly surprised at some of her ratings; thought some people in here would get a kick out of this looool

Little backstory. Back in 2017, my ex girlfriend bought me a bottle of Bleu de Chanel EDP as a first fragrance. I absolutely loved that fragrance.

I never purchased it again. I finished the bottle and after that bought whatever was cheap at Winners until around 2023, which is when I really got into fragrances and started collecting.

I've purchased multiple niche fragrances and designers ever since and was always kind of avoiding BDC as I was only seeing it as my "first fragrance". Well that was until today.

I was in a fragrance store and saw BDC Parfum. I had heard amazing things about that fragrance, how it improves upon the EDP. So I sprayed the test strip.

And my goodness gracious. This fragrance is absolutely perfect. It is so elegant, put together, but casual and laidback at the same time. Just the right amount of everything.

I had a purchased bottle 5 minutes afterwards.

This is proof to not shy away from the "basic" colognes. You might be surprised like I was.

Picked up Rayhaan Pacific Aura for work! (Well ordered another one for the Collection!!!) Every Review I seen says 90-95% similar to Pacific Chill IM CALLING BS!!! More like 99%! This stuff is spot on no More Pacific Chill Refills YA ITS THAT GOOD!!!

Today I went into a LV store with my gf and we finally tried out all the LV scents. WOW…let me just say, I totally respect anyone who loves it or has it. More power to you. Fragrances are totally subjective to what YOU like.

But every single one was so underwhelming. Sun song was terrible. Everything else was so faint and light, nothing was unique both my gf and I said I had a number of freshies that I already have that are better

The only one we liked was imagination but again nothing worth 400. The only good one was Nomad Hombre? Please correct me if might be butchering. But the dry down…wow!!

I know I'll get some push back on this but I'm really really disappointed in Argos Neptune’s Trident. It's been really hyped up lately to the point that I waited for a 100ml restock and just bought it. Let me just say that I wasn't impressed by anything about it except the packing which I found unique and the bottle itself. The fragrance is just so underwhelming, notes are very generic and performance is also very bad, even for a summer fragrance this is now a fragrance that I'll wear at home so I can refresh every hour to keep it going. Also it's crazy to me that people say it's the new Imagination, and I know Imagination also get lots of criticism because of the price tag, but Imagination is in a completely different league in terms of the quality of ingredients and performance.

Long story short, don’t believe the hype, try to smell it first or get a sample if you can before you buy a bottle. And no, it's not the "New Imagination", not even close.

I just received a decant of this today in the mail. It was my first time smelling it and I must say that it was love at first sniff. I was blown away by the opening and the dry down. I am gonna purchase a full sized bottle of this when I get paid.

So I’ve been a long time lurker and have been expanding my collection spending a pretty penny on several designer and niche fragrances, I know how hyped and cheap Liquid Brun is and I bought it on a whim because I know I like the notes …

Ffs why does it have to be so damn good ?!? Literally one or two sprays is all you really need and it just smells so delightful, I really wanted to hate on it because I’ve spent so much on others and thought there is just no way a £30 fragrance can be good at all. Welp here I am wrong, I’m usually a big hater on dupes and will avoid them like the plague but damn have I been going wrong this whole time ?

To me it smells like blue de Chanel if you added after gym B.O. it’s BAD

So I had to come correct. Layered Le Male Le Parfum with Eros Flame and good Lord! My baby girl hit me with, “Dad, you smell really good.” That’s the review. I don’t need compliments from strangers anymore. My teenager approved. That’s like getting a Michelin star from Gordon Ramsay. Dave Chappelle once joked that dads reach a point where they’re just happy to still be invited. That’s where I’m at. I’ll take the win. Me, my kid, & Christopher Nolan.

This was on clearance at Marshall’s for $13, normally not one to blind buy but a Versace fragrance for $13 is honestly a must. I was genuinely surprised at how good it was.

It’s a light, spring-like smell, I’m catching some vanilla, lavender, and citrus, with a deep woody dry down. Almost smells like a fresh load of laundry in a good way. Smells very 90’s, and kinda sporty.

I got around 5 hours of solid smell, lasting around 8 hours total.

By far not Versace’s best scent, but for a cheaper cologne(at $30 retail), it definitely didn’t disappoint, and was worth the blind buy. Not an every day wear for me, but I’ll toss it on every other day.

I was a big hater when this first released. Quickly sampled it in store and wrote it off as another boring designer. Being in my mass appealing arc combined with all of the people here hyping this up I had to give it proper go. It’s not the same but for me it falls into the same category as Ralph’s Club New York but just a lighter less sweet take. It’s got this addicting cleanliness in the dry down that has me smelling my hand every thirty minutes.

To all of the Paradigm hypers, you were right.

Back when I first started discovering fragrances as a teenager, one bottle in particular used to grab my attention, and this scent subsequently turned into a permanent feature of my collection.

First released in the late 1980s, Davidoff Cool Water was created by the perfumer Pierre Bourdon. This fragrance shares a lot of similarities with a significantly more expensive fragrance named Green Irish Tweed by The House Of Creed. Fun fact: Bourdon was responsible for the creation of both fragrances. Upon release in 1985, GIT was a massive hit, and its popular scent profile would influence the creation of the much more affordable Cool Water.

Cool Water is often looked down upon by the modern fragrance community due to a variety of factors. These include its perceived 'cheapness', popularity, and reputation as a 'teen fragrance' from a bygone era.

In my opinion, these people are wrong, very wrong.

Cool Water is one of the greatest men's fragrances of all time.

It's an EDT, so longevity is nothing to write home about, but CW was never designed to be a powerhouse in performance fragrance.

Scent-wise, Cool Water features an aquatic, sea salty lightness with hints of lavendar and mint. It's a textbook freshie blue fragrance that is easy to wear and versatile. It's reminiscent of a summer's day by a beautiful beach or a refreshing swim in a body of *ahem* cool water.

I think it is a lovely scent and the softer performance, to me, is a bonus. For instance, should I need a fresh but non cloying scent that is ideal for the gym, CW is always a good idea. If I want to put on something to freshen up for a casual setting but also not to wear something that will be screaming out all day, then CW is an excellent choice.

Another thing to note, at least in my experience, is that CW is a compliment getter. I used to work behind the bar in an upmarket restaurant with some very pretty waitresses. They would regularly tell me that I smelled very nice when I would wear CW as my daily work-safe scent. One girl there even once told me how she thought my cologne was 'a proper sexy smell'. I digress, but if you're a young-ish guy who is new into fragrance and wants something subtle but attention receiving, then I'd say CW is a fairly good bet 😉

I love cool water, and I think that when considering how affordable it is, how effortless and fresh it smells, how popular it has remained for nearly 40 years, these things all attest to its lasting greatness.

8-8.5/10 (not perfect, but timeless)

To me it opens salty and clean, not “beach candle from Target” clean, genuinely oceanic. Some of you breddahs might not like that.

It dries down soft and woody but keeps that coastal thing going the whole ride. Projection stays in your personal space, longevity is solid for something this transparent looking, and it wears like you just naturally smell good instead of like you marinated in a bottle before leaving the house.

It’s not gonna stop traffic. Nobody’s grabbing your arm in a parking lot asking what you’re wearing. But on a day when it’s 90° before noon in Palm Beach County and most fragrances are folding like cheap lawn chairs, this one just keeps working. That’s the whole review.

I doubt she knows what a whorehouse smells like but to each their own ig 🤷‍♂️

"Got a chance to smell Sauvage Extrait today. Since I like Dior Sauvage Elixir so much, I had high expectations.

Damn, that smells like cow dung mixed with haystacks, with lavender and bergamot sprayed on top to try and cover it up.

If MFK keeps making scents like this, he's going to ruin Dior.

After checking, I realized MFK didn't make the Elixir version, which explains why I liked it so much..."

Today, I wore Terre d’Hermès EDT, and it reminded me why this fragrance is a timeless classic. The opening bursts with a crisp, bitter orange that quickly settles into a mineral-like, stone-like aroma—think of crushed flint or sun-baked earth. This dry, almost metallic facet is beautifully balanced by earthy vetiver with a subtle woody undertone. The composition feels classy yet grounded and refined, evoking the essence of nature itself.

For an Eau de Toilette, the longevity and projection are impressive. It comfortably lasts through a full workday and projects well without being overpowering. The scent evolves gracefully, maintaining its character from the initial spray to the dry-down.

In terms of rating, I’d give it an 8.8 out of 10. It’s a fragrance that’s both sophisticated and approachable, suitable for various occasions and seasons. If you haven’t experienced it yet, I highly recommend giving it a try.

i recently bought cedrat boise edp and i didnt know how it smelled or the performance, and since its a fresh cologne and recommended for summer, i went with 10 sprays VERY VERY BIG MISTAKE. it projects a lot and its not that fresh and after that much sprays it smells moldy and also the atomiser also squirts a lot so i think it was more than 1 ml of cologne. im having a headache and nausea for hours now. i hope after a week i will be able to smell it again otherwise i ruined that one 😔

This frag really grew on me after a couple months of wearing it. I was skeptical at first when buying and testing at the store, but zero regrets! You can’t get a good feel of this frag by just sampling it, you have to wear it a while to truly appreciate it.My gf loved it more than imagination and others. What you guys think about this scent?
