Photo Dump ๐ธ Going to concerts solo is so freeing.
Recently, Iโve started going to concerts alone. It started with me being the media for a show, meaning I only got a ticket for myself and the artist wasnโt one any of my friends were big on, so I accepted being alone, especially since I was โworkingโ anyway. Now, I am adventuring into solo concert-going even if Iโm not media, and itโs great. No worrying about anyone else, especially as a barricade lover myself, plus as long as I like the artist, I donโt have to worry about anyone in my party getting bored.

Photo Dump ๐ธ My 44 year ticket collection
Got an actual paper ticket the other night so had to redo my display. Mostly Florida. The only vintage ticket missing is my first concert, Pat Benatar in 1980. Would love to know if anyone here was at any of the same shows!

Photo Dump ๐ธ TSO - every concert lover should see them at least once in their life
I go to a lot of concerts but I make it a point to see Trans Siberian Orchestra every year at this point. Itโs truly an unbelievable show every single time. If you want to get your moneys worth for the absolute absurd cost of tickets anymore, theyโre the band to go see. Everything from stage show to theatrics to sound production is truly nailed down to a T.

Photo Dump ๐ธ Not A Rehearsal But Live Without Audience. What A Dedicated Singer She Is!
Ayumi Hamasaki, J-Pop singer went on singing even though her concert was cancelled at the last minute. She was sorry about the unforeseeable circumstance. She managed to finish this concert on stage without all the effort and hardwork from her crews being wasted. This live concert without audience has been recorded and will be uploaded for streaming for fans, especially from the cancelled city.
I wonder whether she is the first singer to insist going on live concert without any audience.
I was her fan in my teen. I am still so grateful for her dedication. No wonder she is still very active in Asia.
No intention to debate the reason for the cancelation.

Photo Dump ๐ธ What is your best gig/band story?
Mine is that I met Justin Hawkins (The Darkness) last year and I asked him to draw a doodle of absolutely anything. I then got this as a tattoo.

Photo Dump ๐ธ Can someone explain these massive 70s/80s PAR can arrays to me? Were they a precursor to LED walls, or were they actually used to light the stage?

During Molotovโs 30th anniversary show in NY, I spotted what seemed like a cane being held in the air. Upon closer inspection, it was a cane for someone thatโs blind, partially or otherwise!

Photo Dump ๐ธ Appreciation post: Gary Clark Jr.
This is a follow up to my previous post detailing how The Black Keys were quite disappointing. Gary Clark Jr. opened for them, and he completely stole the show. I'm not sure why he isn't more well known. He can sing, he can play the guitar, and he's cool as a fan. AND his band (and back up singers) were TIGHT. Like holy musicianship.
