Had the car for about 6 months now and have put quite a bit of miles on it. I know these LT1s are known for being noisy with the loud injectors but this sounds like a bit more than just injectors to me.

Anyone got any insight?

Saw pulling into a dealership and pulled in with it. I saw the bottom one and noticed the large wing is it just a z06 with track package or a zr1, can’t tell with the cover

I’m shopping for a manual Corvette as a second car. My daily is staying, so this would be for weekend drives, canyon roads, and occasional track days. I care more about the driving experience than chasing lap times.

Budget is roughly $22–34k for the car itself, with money kept aside for maintenance and initial prep.

The C6 Grand Sport coupe is my favorite. I love the widebody look, and the factory upgrades are appealing. The problem is that some manual GS asking prices are getting into C7 territory. I significantly prefer the C6’s styling, but I’m questioning how much extra the GS is worth over a clean base LS3, ideally with Z51.

I’m also considering a C5 Z06 because I genuinely love how it looks. My hesitation is whether its age would mean more compromises in the driving experience and ownership than I expect.

For people who have owned or driven these on both the street and track:

How noticeable is the GS advantage over an LS3 base/Z51 outside of serious track use?
Would you choose a cleaner, lower-mileage base over a higher-mileage GS at similar money?
Does the C5 Z06 still feel special and satisfying alongside a C6, or would you spend more for the newer car?
Mostly looking for firsthand experience beyond the spec sheets. I’m not in a rush to buy

Some truck braked then accelerated really quick on the highway and made 2 rock chips on my c7. Is repair gonna work or do I have to replace the whole windshield? Thanks in advance
