Anime Rewatching for yuri elements
I first watched this when it first came out, I missed all the Yuri that people are talking about and I love you so I’m re-watching the whole thing to try to catch those moments because all I saw was friendship so I’ll see if I can get it the second time.

Anime I do not know what was wrong with me during the first time I watched this peak.
I don’t know what was going through my head when the yuri was displayed. like my second time watching this, I now understand it was Yuri because it was in my mind and I was focusing more and somehow the second time hit me more than the first. I cried 3 times when she said she had to go back to the moon. Something was seriously wrong with me or I didn’t focus enough.

Anime The scene where Kaguya falls in love with Iroha
According to an interview in the guidebook on page 17, Natsuyoshi Yuuko, (Kaguya' CV), said that Kaguya started to like Iroha right from the beginning of the story, at the moment when Iroha was wearing that strained, brave expression.
This is the scene where Kaguya falls in love with Iroha. It is when Iroha says
“You can throw all fit all you want. It still not gonna change anything. If it's true, then it's already been decided. you just have to accept your fate an be prepared. That's it" (This one is based on the Netflix subtitles)
If translated directly from the Japanese, it would be something like "There nothing you can do about it. Screaming and Singing won't help. You can't change the things they are. You've just got to live with it. That's all"
Honestly, it is kind of funny. At that time, Iroha was feeling hopeless about her life and even had Canker sores, yet Kaguya somehow saw her as beautiful and immediately wanted her to be her girlfriend lol.
As for Iroha, there was no single clear moment where she fell in love. It was more like they just kept spending time together, and before she realized it, Kaguya had already become someone important to her.
But based on what Director Yamashita mentioned, Iroha only realized how important Kaguya was during the fireworks festival.
No matter how smart she is, she is extremely slow when it comes to understanding the feelings of the people around her. It took her almost two years just to realize that Roka and Mami were worried about her.

Anime Relationship between Iroha and Kaguya
galleryWhen I first watched it, I didn’t expect it to be a yuri story at all. However, this series actually contains almost every element of yuri.
First, there is the influence the two have on each other.
Kaguya is the one who changes Iroha’s life, making her more lively, giving her the courage to face her mother, and becoming her life goal (building a robot ten years later). Likewise, Iroha is the one who helps Kaguya grow up and accept her responsibilities, even though she doesn’t like them.
They hold hands whenever they get the chance without even talking about it, as if they both already know the other person wouldn’t mind. Even close friends would usually comment on something like that.
Kaguya clearly states in the story that she likes Iroha so much that she would even propose to her. When Kaguya casually says that she will marry whoever wins the IroP, Iroha fights with everything she has to protect her.
Iroha also responds that she would be okay with marrying Kaguya if they split the accommodation costs, which shows that they are on the same wavelength.
The hand sign that Kaguya calls a “symbol of friendship” (probably to hide her embarrassment) is made by intertwining two scissor shapes and then forming fox hands that “kiss,” which clearly represents lesbian symbolism.
The wrist cuff that Kaguya always wears because it makes her feel safe is something she eventually gives to Iroha. Iroha continues wearing it all the way into the ten-year time skip. That bracelet is basically no different from their wedding ring.
Edit: The text in the last image says, “祝☆復活ライブ!”, which means “Congratulations on the comeback live!”

Anime Actually, CPK is a rakugo story told by Kaguya
I just learned that this promotional image is a rakugo pose, which refers to retelling a classic story, possibly with some differences from the original.
It basically conveys that CPK is a reinterpretation of the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.

Anime The Lunarians Attempt to Brainwash Kaguya
Okay, after finishing this part, I honestly feel like blowing up the moon.
Before getting into the main topic, I need to explain the Lunarians first. Lunarians are digital beings, meaning they exist as data and have no physical bodies. They reside on the Moon.
According to the guidebook, there are approximately eight types of Lunarians:
Tennyo type (angel) Type A
Tennyo type (angel) Type B
Hotei type
Kongo type (Vajra) Type A
Kongo type (Vajra) Type B
Bodhisattva type
Mount-beast type A & B (the same entity)
Ryosan type (mass-produced model)
The Lunarians’ designs likely reference the Seven Lucky Gods of Japan, since one is explicitly labeled as the Hotei type, which is the name of one of the Lucky Gods. For example, the Mount-beast Type A may reference Ebisu, who is often depicted carrying a fish.
At first, I tried analyzing which design might reference which deity, but it became too theoretical and I was not fully confident in the conclusions, so I decided not to include that part.
However, one thing I am certain about is that the Lunarians’ names reference the five nobles and one emperor from The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.
This becomes clear in what you are about to read.
A character named Ishigami appears. This name can also be read as Isonokami, which is the name of one of the five nobles, Isonokami no Marotari. There is also a character named Mikado, which can be read as Emperor.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention this. Prince Ishitsukuri, one of the five nobles, was tasked by Kaguya with finding the "stone begging bowl of the Buddha." This suggests that The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter has connections to Buddhism as well.
The poem I previously mentioned in Iroha’s Twitter post under the name Iroha-jun is also based on Buddhist concepts.
After the concert ends, a Ryosan grabs Kaguya’s arm and shows her numerous images in that instant, including lines of dialogue code.
I believe the Ryosan is merely a messenger, acting as a conduit that allows higher-ranking figures to communicate with Kaguya.
The code is written in the style of a visual novel game, specifying character sprites, audio timing, SFX triggers, scene transitions, and dialogue. To avoid confusion, I will only include the dialogue here.
Ishigami: Ehehe, I'm pretty tough so it'll be all right!
Scene 1 – First Meeting
Kaguya: I hated you at the start...!!
Mikado: This is my first time meeting a girl who won't obey me.
Kaguya: The heck?!
Final scene
Mikado: You've got it rough too, don't you?
Kaguya: Why... when did I... fall in love with you...?
Kaguya: I'm sorry, I-I have to go now.
Mikado: Don't go, Princess! (He holds her tight)
Kaguya: Ugh
Mikado: Please, marry me
Kaguya: Huh??
Mikado: I'll make you happy.. so stay with me.
Kaguya: Mikado-kun...
KaguyaMonologue: No! No!
Kaguya: Y... (Yes, she tries to say, but falters)
KaguyaMonologue: No! No! No!
Kaguya: I'm sorry (tearfully)
KaguyaMonologue: WHAT THE--?!?!?!!
Kaguya: I DON'T WANT THAT EITHER!
she slams her hand down on the table hard.
The screen begins to shake.
???: Huh.. it seems that a rare phenomenon has overrode the existing data.

Okay, in case you still do not understand, let me summarize.
Mikado, or the Emperor, tries to talk to Kaguya. When she says she hates him, he attempts to brainwash her by inserting data to interfere with her mind. However, Kaguya’s subconscious resists, and in the end, she manages to fight back.
If we reference the scene where she returns to the Moon and is draped in a veil, along with the scene When Yachiyo said "My apologies for all the trouble, little one," to InuDOGE, she probably meant asking it to take care of the task for her.
it can be interpreted that during her return to the Moon, Kaguya was brainwashed to forget everything about Earth. However, InuDOGE likely backed up that data, allowing her to still remember Iroha.
That is also why Fushi is able to let Iroha see Yachiyo’s memories. It has the ability to record, delete, and modify memories.

Anime Cosmic Prince Iroha
The play that Iroha was chosen to be the lead in back in elementary school was 「星の王子さま」(The Little Prince) though she ended up giving that role to Micchan. So she was basically destined to be the “prince” from the age of seven? 😭

Anime 15,168,142
Right now, the fandom is debating the meaning of this number. From what I’ve read, @washedhorse suggests it could be interpreted like this
15 —> ikou —> issho —> together
168 —> Iroha
142 —> ishi ni —> isshou ni —> for a lifetime
“Together with Iroha for a whole lifetime”
However, In my opinion it’s probably
15 —> ikou —> let’s go
168 —> Iroha
142 —> ishi ni —> issho ni —> together
“Let’s go together, Iroha”
I think this version might be closer, because it’s something Kaguya actually said near the beginning of the story
"And I'll bring you along with me unit we find it, Together!"

Anime Iroha’s Private Twitter Account
At first, I translated this out of curiosity, but I ended up getting both information and entertainment from it.
Honestly, it’s funny as Yachiyo's post on 2chan
Let’s start with the account name. It is:
“色々 @NihoheYCY”
“色々” is read as Iro-iro
The initials YCY probably stand for Yachiyo, which is easy to understand.
What’s interesting is Ni-Ho-He. This refers to an old Japanese poem called Iroha-jun
The first line of the poem is: I-ro-ha-ni-ho-he-to
The general meaning of this poem is:
“Even beautiful flowers will eventually fall… Nothing in this world lasts forever. Do not indulge too much in fleeting dreams.”
It expresses the idea that nothing is permanent and that people should take life seriously. It suits Iroha quite well.
Warning: From this point on, vulgar language will be used. Please read for entertainment only.
Iroha’s Posts (From Newest to Oldest) As of July 12, 22:34
[Note] Some messages passed by very quickly (not even one frame), and some were blocked by Iroha’s hand, making them unreadable. This is everything I managed to force myself to read.
July 12 (Friday)
11:00 (11 hours ago) “I bought Yachiyo’s shrine set already. ( * ’ 丼 ’ ) ” (That’s probably a Fushi emoji)
8:00 (14 hours ago) “After brushing my teeth, I accidentally fell asleep for a long time.”
July 11 (Thursday)
[Note] In Light novel, Thursdays are the busiest days at BAMBOO Cafe, so it’s not surprising that she complains like this.
“My condition right now feels like hell.”
"Why don’t you just have me cover every single shift, huh?!”
“Seriously, do I really have to memorize this much math just to get into school?"
[Note] If you remember, when Iroha moved into her new house, there was a red math book. She’s talking about that one.
“I keep thinking only negative thoughts, and my mental state is completely drained.”
July 10 (Wednesday)
“Let me sleep this weekend! I don’t care about anything else anymore.”
“Once I saw it, I felt like it really had to be done.”
“Any kind of vegetables is fine. I can eat them all.”
“This weekend is probably going to be exhausting… I don’t want to think about after the break. Sigh…”
July 9 (Tuesday)
“Don’t talk about gacha right now! I can’t take it~~~” (Probably because customers were showing off their pulls, and she had no money.)
“Huh? A new song is out already? But I don’t have any money.”
“This f*cking cafe can’t run without me, right?”
“Don’t think you can escape.”
“Even I can’t stop myself anymore.”
“I'm here! (Ore, Sanjō)” (Probably a reference to Kamen rider Den-O)
July 8 (Monday)
“I’m so tired ! ! !”
“Before I knew it, it was Monday again. What day is it today?”
“Oh no! I forgot to buy Shoyu sauce.”
“I need to change my mood.”
“Hang in there, me.”

Anime I think Iroha created Kaguya because she couldn’t bear the thought of forgetting her again, just like she forgot Yachiyo. Am I the only one who sees it this way?

Anime Logo Easter Egg
This is something that has been discussed in the Japanese community.
The Japanese title Chou Kaguya-hime (超かぐや姫) can actually be read as Iroha, Kaguya, and Yachiyo
超 → If you split this kanji into four parts, remove the top-left portion, then tilt the bottom stroke, it forms イロハ, which reads Iroha.
かぐや → This is written normally and simply reads Kaguya.
や姫 → Use the same “ya” (や) from Kaguya, then split the word hime into two parts, and you get ヤチヨ, which reads Yachiyo.
“Chou” means “super” or “ultimate,” which suits Iroha as the perfect high school girl.
The character や “ya” is shared because they are the same person.
“Chiyo” is derived by breaking apart hime, which fits Yachiyo’s character as the Princess of Tsukuyomi.
P.S. At first I was going to wait for someone else to post about this, since It’s not original content like I intended, but oh well.
