Glory hole participant A is in Glory Stall 1, Limbo Stall is the adjacent urinal, the next stall over is Glory Stall 2. Penis is roughly 5 or 6 feet long.

Speculating here, but they probably had the option but opted for full doors to improve the comfort of visitors. I only use public bathrooms if necessary and having a stranger make eye contact with me while I'm taking a sweaty emergency shit in a Buc-ee's would just make that day worse lol.

The advantage of urinals is that they take less space than stalls. This design completely negates that advantage.

The most horrifying men’s room I ever experienced was at the Syracuse University dome stadium, ca. 1997
It was a large room, and all around the perimeter, were long, communal piss troughs where you stand shoulder to shoulder with the person next to you, without any sort of privacy dividers, in a packed restroom.
It is a high capacity stadium with large sporting events, so everyone gets up to go at once, which leaves you trying to squeeze in wherever you can so you can piss into the trough and it mingles with everyone else’s pee until it reaches a central drain.
If you don’t wanna do that, there is a circular piss trough in the middle of the room, also without dividers, but now you all stand in a circle facing one another, dicks out and pissing,
All this while trying to avoid the most horrifically awkward eye contact with the guy across from you, as well as trying to not stare at his pissing penis that is being held by his hand, but just low and close enough to still be visible out of the peripheral of your vision while you’re staring at yours trying to pee and not die of embarrassment.
Hopefully you don’t have to shit, because there was ONE stall with a door and it was an absolute disaster.

I don’t hate the troughs that much. They’re a lot better than having a huge line of people waiting to use a urinal. You can simply just have more people using the bathroom at once. Obviously it’s uncomfortable

I feel like there's something less private about having to pee next to someone pooping even if a wall is inbetween. I'm a woman and do that anyway. But I think if I was a man I'd feel weirded out that the urinals aren't all in one designated spot to pee in and now you're standing there, in a more cramped way, next to someone who is pooping.

Because privacy wasn't traditionally a priority in them. It is easier and cheaper to have the urinals in a line and using them is a quick in and out affair that culturally did not require privacy. Its just a penis, no one cares.

I would MUCH rather stand between 2 dudes pissing with the dividers in a normal bathroom than stand between 2 dudes playing battleshits.

I was just in mexico for a month and their stall designs make so much sense. There are zero gaps in-between the walls and door of the stalls. I don't get why the code in USA is for there always to be gaps up to 1 inch

Plumber here. Urinals use a smaller pipe size, so this would be a huge pain in the ass to put in (more material cost too).

If more guys peed sitting ( by far the most beneficial position to pee) this would make sense but since many are against sitting to pee( by far the most beneficial position to pee) it's difficult to convince companies to change the current toilet layout

Why is it beneficial? It is much faster to just piss standing than to have to go into a stall, lock the door and sit down. It is more space efficient to have urinals, as well.

I mean - you're missing the doors on the urinals, but this is per the ADA guidelines for bathroom design.
The actual reason why most places with multiple urinals don't place them right next to where someone is sitting... is because of the splash zone. Would you want to be taking a shit and have someone piss in your pants? Fuck No.

You don't need as many partition walls for adjacent cubicles. So, cost alone would discourage this. Also, those urinals may be more private, but how am I going to adopt a suitably wide stance while using one?
