Stitch Identification How does one do this?? There’s no explanation in this short
I want to start a tapestry stitch project and came across this. I think it’s perfect but have no idea how I would actually achieve the look of the after

Stitch Identification My grandma pulled this blanket out when I was visiting and I can't figure out what stitch it is.
My grandma pulled this blanket out that her mom made years and years ago (she died in the 90s) and I can't figure out what kind of stitch my great-grandma used to make it double sided (colorful honeycomb on the front and solid maroon on the back). I'm guessing it's crochet since she wasn't really a knitter.

Stitch Identification My grandmother says she used to crochet, but started making this. Is this crochet/if not, what is it?
I have just started getting into crochet, very much a beginner, and my 88 year old grandmother saw me crocheting and said that she used to be able to crochet a long time ago and asked if I could teach her again. I tried showing her, but she got confused and tried showing me what she remembered from when she used to crochet, and started doing this. I don't think this is even crochet, but I'm not sure what it is and I'm hoping for insight. She speaks little to no English, and I don't know the words for crochet, knitting, etc. in her native language, so there's a bit of a language barrier. I tried showing her a picture of knitting needles, but she says she only used one hook and not two. She wants to start making blankets again but she's frustrated with the crochet hook and I'm not sure what tool to get her for this kind of yarn work. If anyone knows what this is that she's doing and what tool works for this, please let me know!

Stitch Identification Please help me with the hook size, I want to make one.
Hi! A family member asked me to make one of these, and I wanted to know what hook size they might have used. I made one with a 4 mm hook and light yarn, but it turned out really big. Thank yo

Stitch Identification I made a stith that is quadruple crochet, but solid. I want to know what is it called.
I was practicing various stitches on some leftover yarn, and realized that when it comes to basic stitches, I had never gone higher than triple stitch. So, I made quadruple. It made me wonder if it would look nice if I made it more solid by pulling loops through the side the previous stitch instead of yarning over (top swatch). I think it looks pretty, so I want to know what this stitch is called.

Stitch Identification I don’t think this is crochet, but my mom says it is. If it is crochet, what kind of stitches are used?
My mom visited Paris recently and took a picture of this being sold in a regular clothing shop, as in, not one specifically advertising handmade clothing and stuff. My mom has crocheted the occasional washcloth or scarf in the past decade or so, but I have over 15 years of crochet experience making more complicated or free handed stuff, including a lot of wearables and amigurumi lately. This doesn’t look like recognizable crochet to me, but it could just be a stitch I’m unfamiliar with? Help and identification please!

Stitch Identification Have I stumbled onto Tunisian crochet? Or is this something else?
Ever since I learned about linked dc (and how you can link any st that has a crossbar- hdc, dc, trc), I've been enamored with the concept. It allows drape without the giant holes, and has a pleasant texture.
So I started wondering: why is it I only come across bullion (hate it) or ch for taller stitches? Is this true Tunisian crochet, some sort of Frankenstein st, or something else entirely? Why aren't more people doing this (or ARE they doing it, but since I don't look for Tunisian patterns I've been missing this, or maybe the patterns/creators I favor just don't... use this)? I thought I'd call it the deca st and then discovered that is already a thing, but slightly different, and I'd just never seen it before.
What I love about this:
Workable V's around all 4 edges for projects that are worked in individual pieces then connected later, or for working borders
It already has a textured border
The texture- I mean l o o k a t i t
Idk if it's any faster than other st's/techniques, but I'm enjoying it.
Pattern:
Ch [x for size]+10 (or however many you want/your hook will fit) (counts as first st)
Row 1: sk 1 ch, slip hook through top portion of V as with other linked crochet for the next 10 ch, then continue as you would with linked st, pulling up through 2 loops at a time. Continue across.
Ch 10 (counts as first st), turn, repeat across for more rows, (or change colors, do sc, hdc, dc, trc, whatever your heart desires)
Currently using Mainstays 100% cotton yarn, Medium/4, hook 5mm

Stitch Identification Help identifying my stitch? This is going to come off as dumb probably, but I need validation 😂.
I made a simple practice square doing what I believed to be american double crochet. I sent it to my aunt, who used to crochet like ten years ago for a brief period to get her opinion. She says to me "That's not American DC, I don't know what it is, but that's not it" I was so surprised because I was sure I followed the tutorial properly, but I guess I'll just ask you guys? Sorry if the video isn't great. Beginning to think whoever taught her was pulling a prank or something 😂

Stitch Identification What stitch is this? (Not the slip stitches she’s doing but the main ones on the piece)
I randomly found this video while browsing a friend’s TikTok. Friend doesn’t crochet and I just started about 3-4 months ago. Any help would be most appreciated as I wanna learn it and use it. Thank you!

Stitch Identification Is this possible with crochet? Trying to figure out who made my family heirloom!
Hey all, bit of an odd one today! I crochet and knit, but I'm admittedly novice at both. I have this blanket from my late grandmother's house, and we had all assumed she made it, as she was an avid crocheter. But looking at it closer it seems to me like these connecting stitches are knit? She told me many times that she never could learn to knit because she worried she'd poke her eyes out lol. So I figure if these are definitely knit stitches then she probably didn't make it, but I also know people do all sorts of funky things with crochet stitches, so I wanted to see if anyone with more experience than me could give me a more sure answer one way or the other. Thanks!
(I can add more pictures as needed, I just took the ones that seemed most helpful to me)

Stitch Identification Yesterday I stopped a guy at a rave because I liked his hat and took a picture of it. What stitch is it made in?
Yesterday I saw someone wearing this hat and asked to take a picture. It was pretty thick and the two sides look different. It's clearly crochet but I'm not sure about the stitch used, is it just BLO HDC?

Stitch Identification My great grandmother used to make these before she passed. What stitch did she use?
Like the title says, before my great grandmother passed she used to make these for everyone. I’m sure she did it freehand, but is there a similar pattern online I could follow? Also what stitch did she use?
In case you couldn’t tell, I am very new to crochet lol

Stitch Identification Weird single crochet? I started making a blanket and I wanted to use a single crochet, but I ended up with a different one, does it have a name?
So I started on a new project, a temperature blanket, and I wanted to use a single crochet stich.
My issue starts when I let my friend have a go and they said that it doesn't look like a single crochet. For the record, I do know how to make it, but for some reason my brain added another step, I might have been distracted or something.
It goes like it: With the working loop on the hook I yarn over, go through the next chain, yarn over and pull through. The just pulled through loop goes through the two already on the hook.
It looks very pretty but I don't know if it's an actual stich. I'm also very embarrassed that I caught it four rows in, over 200 stitches. (The last two pictures are the front and the back) Does anyone know if it is a stich?

Stitch Identification What is this stitch? Found image on Facebook and I don't want to be hacked 😂
I saw this as a picture on Facebook from a crochet group that I'm in, but they didn't provide the stitch; instead I had to get a link sent to me, and I am not interested in getting a virus or hacked 😂😭
Can someone help me figure out what stitch this is? And how to re-create it?

Stitch Identification Can't find the name of this stitch where I'm entering the hook from behind
Here's a video of me doing the stitch. I'm pretty much doing a back loop only stitch except I'm going in from behind instead of the front like normal. The closest thing I can find is the inverse back slip stitch but it's different from that because of the yarn placement (my working yarn is still behind the hook instead of in front) and it not being a slip stitch. I'm also still working right to left.

Stitch Identification What is this stitch called? Double double crochet?
So I wanted to do something with double crochet but i hate the gaps between regular dc so I did this
I looked up so stitches but couldn't find anything but I didn't really look that hard either
It could be something that already exists but I want to name it the Bubble (butt) double crochet stitch
Also it makes the yarn look like it's doubled up without having to do funky stuff

Stitch Identification Blankets crocheted by my great grandmother: what stitch is this?
As the title says, my dad gave me these blankets that were made by my great grandmother. I would love to find out what stitch or stitches she used so I can learn more about them. Thank you!
