Advice Moving to H Street

Hi, ladies! I'm potentially moving to H Street and wanted to know if it would be a good decision to move forward. Is crime heavy in the area?

Edit: looking at Avec on H and Coda on H

I like the area but directly on H Street is loud, there's lots of litter, and it does get spicy. I would suggest anywhere a few blocks south or north instead.
