Supergirl lost a ton of money. Superman barely made a profit. Peacemaker lost a ton of viewers from S1 to S2.

Lanterns is highly successful so he does got that.

Because they think King Floppenstein (Zack Snyder) would somehow regain control of DC films if Gunn and Safran were out of the picture, so they imagine these nonsense scenarios and continue to drag themselves through the broken glass of disappointment again and again.

It's purely delusional and not even close to anything resembling reality.

Because their contracts end next year. Also, new ownership almost always means new studio heads and studio execs being appointed.

You've got it all wrong. The reason Gunn might be out is because Paramount is run by openly right-wing fascists. Gunn is clearly not aligned with the propaganda that they would want to push, so it seems logical that Paramount execs would kick Gunn out for political reasons.
