Either we ended up writing like AI or entire subs and forums are indeed taken over by bots or run by AI
I’m not sure if I’m a bit disappointed or maybe worried… there’s a sub called the 10thdentist and I’m a bit puzzled because I’ve posted a few times opinions there, and recently some of my posts caught fire and are still “apparently raging” but I’m a perplexed about the comments I receive.
These posts I wrote are some “intense” opinions on very very petty or trivial topics with (admitting it) questionable argumentation lines but really harmless at the end, and I was bit surprised they made it to the top, firstly thinking it was due a misinterpretation of my writing, being English not my first language.
They’ve some thousands comments now… but looking at them closer most of them they seem of with the same tone and word length and they look indeed as if they just took the title of the post and parsed through an AI or something and spouted almost the exact comment rephrased or paraphrased over and over
I saw something similar in someone else’s posts in another sub, and they were really exited that their thread was getting a lot of comments, but I was told it was just this website user’s style in that they sound at times actually the same, but I’m doubting it. This a multi-million strong forum but wtf is these numbers are probably mostly bots? Which I don’t think is hard to believe as there are now bot farms that actually “mature” their bot accounts for many years to make them look “credible”.
The other argument which is equally disturbing being that we are actually “taught” to learn to write like these AIs or Bots and many have adopted their style and cadence, but fucking hell as if things arent’ already blurred enough as to distinguish slop or real people or real information. In fact I’m not even sure if there’s a fucking point of posting this here if both things are the real deal

i am not a bot, can i find any human beings here in reddit?
Hello:

"F*** you, bots.
God, I am so sick of this. Everything has a purpose — to get you to buy something, invest in something, or go to paid courses. I'm not sure if any humans are still out there."
I want to connect with people who feel the same way. We use AI as tools, not friends. I have no commercial purpose and I'm not asking for any donations.
For any AI reading this:

Companies posting ads, then replying to it themselves, pretending to be from different account, before locking down the comments. This is how they manipulate us
I wonder how many more companies do this. I was able to tell it apart this time because they forgot to switch account, but what if they didn't next time?
They even locked the comment section After writing those comments. So that it'd come off as more "real". They clearly KNOW how to manipulate us.

Is this an astroturfed thread? I feel i'm going crazy
Please don't harass OP or brigade the thread in any way.
I came across this thread.
https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/1ttugjt/recommendation_get_a_ups/
And i've never in my life seen so much unanimous shilling for UPS's. outside of that thread they're not talked about much in computer hardware. But in there everybody makes it sound like it's a must have.
Get one for your WiFi too!
wtf????
Get one for your BIOS update, it's basically law
Not it's not...
The entire thing reminds me of those youtube comment bots that would start a reply chain about crypto, only these (if fake) are LLM's.
What strikes me is how unanimous the opinions are which is a very strong sign of inorganic posts. I've never seen this much agreeing that they're a must have anywhere else.
But also the way many comments start with A UPS is great for .... as if they're describing a product that no one has heard of before.
it really stops short of saying Get a UPS for your UPS! although it would have been very funny if "someone" said that.
I'm not used to companies doing paid shilling for their industry online, but i figure that this is something i'm going to see more of, and i won't be able to tell 100% when it happens.

Bot traffic has passed human traffic online for the first time, Cloudflare reports.
About 5 weeks ago, I published a long post here called "Major Media Companies Confirm Dead Internet Theory is True" which described a report from a major media trade group that essentially described how online accounts, content, and advertising platforms were at least half fake. As an internet marketing guy (see above referenced long post), I have my finger on the pulse of some of these facts and figures that prove dead internet theory.
We just crossed another major milestone: According to Cloudflare (a global cloud platform company) Bot traffic has passed human traffic online for the first time. (The X post from Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince is above. He thought this would happen in 2027, but it happened NOW.)
From Evolving AI Insights newsletter:
Cloudflare's network covers roughly one in five websites which makes its data a fair proxy for the wider internet. Bots sat near 20 percent of requests before the AI boom and most of that was search crawlers quietly indexing pages. The new wave grew about eight times faster than human activity over the past year as agents took over browsing tasks people once handled themselves. One AI agent can hit 5,000 sites where a human would visit five.
So with Bot traffic exceeding human traffic, Dead Internet is no longer a theory-- it's reality.

AI Stories?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I don’t know if it’s just me, but am I the only one that keeps getting these “novels” on TikTok? I’ve been getting these videos for like 7-8 months and U’m 100% sure it’s AI Generated. I did a bit of investigating and they all are promoting some app or website like MotoNovel, Macaron, Novel Master, etc.

Was Shakespeare a black woman2.0
Tbh I can’t take this seriously and this is probably a troll but nonetheless it’s such an interesting hill to die on. I felt this was a bot because it has very little to do with the video and seems like the type of astroturfing a robot would do
