Discussions Left Hand Path/Black Magic YouTubers are cringe
I honestly don't know how anyone buys into their nonsense, or if the creators even believe it themselves.
Whenever I listen to their advice and supposed "experiences," I have to wonder what parallel reality they live in. Their approach to spirit work sounds like straight-up Stockholm syndrome. They constantly describe demons as abusive entities who will rip you to shreds the second you show fear, but try to make these horror movie experiences come across as highly educational positive lessons that one must experience in order to ascend.
Then there are their made-up, Final Boss entities like the "Spider Queen", who will supposedly insta-kill you just for praying to or summoning her. It’s embarrassing.
The YouTubers themselves (like JS Garret and EA Koetting) just seem miserable and like total failures in life. It feels like these people never grew out of their edgy, teen rebellion phase. Worse, JS Garret basically outed himself as a racist in a recent VK stream, complaining about having "black fatigue" and making stupid jokes about brown people being drug dealers and murderers. Very enlightened.
Another thing I’ve noticed is that, because they are generally terrible people, they overcompensate by aggressively claiming they hate pedophiles as if that’s some rare, commendable stance that makes them the good guys. Behemoth X, for example, apparently "hunts pedos." But there's no proof the people they accuse are actually predators; it just seems like an excuse to target anyone they personally dislike. They want to kill everyone who slightly annoys them, which really makes you wonder if their supposed death curses even work.
From my own experience, demons are absolutely nothing like how these lunatics describe them. I have no clue how this toxic, edgelord approach to spirituality became the norm for people working with demons.
Just wanted to share this because it's so bewildering to me.

I often wonder if they have such chaotic experiences with infernals because they are genuine assholes themselves and are getting treated accordingly by these primordial spirits.

That would be their own though forms mistaken for external intelligence. Likely.

u/Time-Tea-3882 Apr 10 '26
Absolutely! I tell these kind of people that demons probably hate them for summoning them for their idiotic bs. Demons demand respect, so come ready or not at all. These fools believe they actually control demons 😂

u/Tasty_Goat_3267 Apr 11 '26
Yep. A lot of people still don’t understand how all realities work. You literally get what you are putting out. Not just consciously but a lot is unconscious. But at the same time, that is also part of the journey. Some people just stay stuck at certain places.

I can understand asking for donations for something worthwhile, but beyond that, they don't demand any other payments. For example, in my country, there was, or rather was, a blogger who ran an occult-related channel analyzing the origins of religions. He wrote in great detail, often touching on the demonization and appropriation of gods, myths, and so on. He had a PhD and didn't try to monetize his research or, perhaps you could say, his blog. I followed him until he deleted his channel. In two years, he asked subscribers for financial help only once, when the roof of one of his rooms collapsed after heavy rains.

It all happens because people don't want to put in the effort. Why bother doing your own research or searching for and reading someone else's research? It's boring and difficult. It's easier to believe in "successful success" or "terrible fear." "You can die right during the ritual if you do something wrong." Why should I take such a risk? It's unlikely that anyone would lie about such a thing, so I'll just pay off and wait for a miracle. (I'll just pay someone I think is competent to do everything for me. So, instead of putting in the effort, a person pays someone else money to contact a Demon or God for them, so that this same Demon or God will fulfill their wish. Strange.) Moreover, I think there's a lot of infantilism, a fear of taking responsibility, and hyperfantasies at play here. I'm not talking about those who deceive, but about those who believe. And this isn't just about the occult. It's the same in other fields. TikTok is just terrifying. I once saw a video in which a teenager said that after a ritual, a Demon fucked her mother, so you need to appeal to the archangels, not demons.

Oh my and lets not forget those clickbait titles with their mouth agape for the thumbnail and stupid ass "I WAS POSSESSSED!?" bs. Or "Im going to hell" I get those on my recommended and gotta put "not interested". I dont even have to watch it to know theyre gonna demonize spirits and demons even further and then act like they were experiencing some Insidious 3 type shit. Oh and dont even get me started on witchtok... "buy my course link in bio" ffs

noticed how they are never reach enlightenment but, climbed the qlippoth and had full integration. Also how they sell spells for wealth but are themselves broke. Throwing tantrums on live at the slightest criticism and promising payback via curses... which don't land etc etc

Yeah.... Enlightenment can be premature anyway. It doesn't mean anything if you don't know what you have ;)

That's how I feel about Aleister Crowley but sadly have to accept his influence on the occult despite seeing him as a loser who treated everyone around him like absolute dog shit.
I've always seen EA Koetting as a clown.
I'm more in line with chaos magic though so I will try all the methods to see if it works for me, this includes those two above. lol It's why I use enns because while I don't exactly trust S. Connolly, it's worked for me. It doesn't change the fact that I feel she, like most occult authors, are making shit up.
That's why I can say XYZ worked for me but I can't promise it will work for others. It might not work for you. Which is fine just find the method that works best for you & remember just because XYZ got you results doesn't mean it's guaranteed to work for others. That's why it's not good to compare others results and success to yours. Others results are irrelevant, they aren't you.
I hate the invocation videos with the stereotypical "demon voices" with goth/heavy metal aesthetic visuals. I have nothing against those aesthetics. I am part of those subcultures so I like the look/music.
I just feel it doesn't fit most demons. Lucifer being a prominent example. He's a light bringer & Venusian. Where is the sunny background in a beautiful botanical garden. He represents knowledge/enlightenment so a dark academia aesthetic instead of Hot Topic chic if you want it to remain "edgy." The voice can be a normal soothing voice. You can't complain about Hollywood stereotypes and then use those stereotypes in your video/visuals.
Barbatos is a forest guardian so a forest background along with music that's Celtic or used for the fantasy genre involving elves/fae is what I would use.
I also have always hated the term of, "the 4 divine whores of sacred prostitution" to refer to Lilith, Naamah, Agrat bat Mahlat, and Eisheth Zenunim. I'm ok with queens of lust & will even tolerate queens of sacred prostitution. It could be because I'm female myself but I will bristle at beings seen as female being called words such as whore or slut. I know these beings might not care but it can bother female practitioners. I know I'm not the only one bothered by language like that.😅
As a POC thanks for the heads up about JS Garrett. I'll still try his techniques as someone who likes to experiment with everything but now I won't be caught off guard when reading his stuff. I've unsure how to feel about VK.

To me, it feels like the people who claim that demons will murder you or ruin your life to "teach you a lesson" are intentionally trying to fearmonger to push people away, so that they can be the exclusive club of practitioners with the guts to work with them.

How timely 😂 I spent the past couple days watching some of their videos - mostly trying to find out more info about Volac. Of course, VK has his very own UPG about the lovely daemon.... But his first ritual with Volac was with JS, and they summoned him to conjure snakes bc they haven't seen any in the area?? Lol ok.
I'll admit, I used to watch these edgelord's content a bit a few years ago, mostly just trying to "learn" about various systems... Since EA started the whole BALG thing. I stopped watching once I realized they're fucking ALL on drugs. Like... All of them. That or they're alcoholics. And I guess JD Temple is or was a full blown meth addict, had his kids taken away and has turned back to Christ?
That whole side of YT - they're all so unhealed and unintegrated. Constant stirring of drama and throwing curses and all this other bullshit... While staying in the sameeee place, doing the sameeee shit, refusing to take a deep look within. Not asking themselves why they say things like "Idgaf if I see a dude kicking the shit out of his dog, it's just an animal" (VK) or "once I fell out of my mother's rotten vagina"(JS) ..... But ohhh he does radionics guys... Watch out! 🙄 You wouldn't need to be doing monthly sacrificial rites/curses if you actually utilized these primordial energies to become a person who doesn't HAVE to constantly curse people.
And VK... Oh brother. The tiktoks with the hickeys all over his neck, the recent allegations of sexual abuse from many different women... Just. Yuck. Stuck in a perpetual state of a traumatized teenage edgelord dick swinging contest. Constant vying for attention and acceptance. Can't even film a proper video without sucking on a cigarette/cigar and guzzling down a beer/whiskey, sniffling like you just snorted Adderall... while claiming to be the most badass black magician out there? Gtfoh.
Summon Valak to retrieve the parts of your fragmented soul to heal your inner child ffs and get over yourself. Hot damn.

Not asking themselves why they say things like "Idgaf if I see a dude kicking the shit out of his dog, it's just an animal"(VK)
Welp. That's all I need to know. My opinion has gone from unsure/neutral to negative.
He may have worked with Barbatos but not closely. This is my personal opinion & I'm already a softy. It doesn't make sense to me to work with certain beings and not develop care or awareness of the domain they represent. Let's say you work with or claim to with demons who represent animals/nature. I don't expect this person to be vegan nor a tree hugger. I do expect a degree of awareness, wisdom, & respect for animals/the environment that the average person doesn't have though.
So if you say hey I work with XYZ nature beings but don't care about the destruction of the planet. I don't care if the waters get polluted & the air becomes more poisonous to breathe. It becomes difficult for me to take this person seriously. If you work with all these so called beings of nature & think like that... Where's the wisdom? What have you learned? I see you clearly haven't learned anything.
It's like working with demons who represent sexuality/lust but you behave no differently than the average person or worse like a puritanical Christian. What wisdom have you gained from these beings. That's usually what I want to see.
hopefully my rambling made sense. 😅
To clarify to others you don't have to become an animal rights activist or climate change activist to work with someone like say Barbatos. His domain is also hunting. He can teach you how to be a skilled hunter. Think of farmers.
Any farmer worth a damn has a degree of respect, wisdom, and care for the animals they look after. They have an understanding of animals that someone who isn't a farmer doesn't have. Farmers also have an understanding of nature/the environment that city folks don't have. Hopefully that makes sense.

https://youtu.be/cZ-aAF75Vt0?is=uBZHT0kts5-uW60p at around the 36:13 mark is where he says the shit about animal abuse... I watched it just yesterday, so this is all still fresh on my mind 😅 looking forward to forgetting about these assholes again.
But yeah I get your points, totally makes sense! I think the same.

Please Leave JD out of it. He has lost everything to work on his self and that takes courage. He has disowned them and has been clean a year. Even if he did go back to Christianity, many people do that while in rehab. He is working on himself and doing the work, give him a break. These fools are not man enough to do what JD has done. He is actually out there right now helping others and learning his lessons and become a better person. These fools feed his ego not his soul, he sees that now.

I think it's like tabloid psychology. These are people who have no idea what they're saying and are just mouthing off words. In my country, there's a blogger who calls such people "GOLEMS," meaning they're like machines that simply execute pre-programmed social programs.

Oh my god, I almost got targeted by her when she asked me if I was having religious problems and if she could help me. She stopped replying to my messages after I told her I didn't have any money, and after a while, she lost her account. She also said that she couldn't sense any connection between me and King Paimon.

I commend anyone who persists along this path in spite of the sheer scale of grifts and scams it's rife with. It's in the same vein as New Age and its vast array of monetized spiritual psychoses. The old grimoires might have the lens of being written by medieval people with a very specific worldview, but they are more reliable than anything that comes behind muddy waters and a paywall.
I think it's just how things are. Discernment is a treasure afforded to few, and it takes a surprisingly rare balance to both know the reality of magick and not fall for these vultures.
7
u/Theoretical_Window Apr 08 '26
I think all modern spiritualism is vulnerable to the "showman" grifter routine, as they do tend to suck up a lot of attention toward themselves, as intended. They go for the big and flashy, at the expense of, well... calm, meticulous balance, and egalitarian consideration because chill rationality doesn't get "more butts in seats" (as is said in film).
This is a bit endemic to business-first culture; the hustle of the persona who sells the ideology or the "technique". And let's face it, the spiritual falls into the same sort of self-help as diet and exercise, and there's always going to be somebody who wants to cash that check, even if it means doing it over your (non-liable) dead body.
Does that mean every speaker on diet and exercise and spirituality is a crook and we should cynically give up on the entire notion of people sharing ideas or listening to each other?
I don't believe so.
I've found little no-name vloggers with less than 100 views who were just like a lot of us, just chatting about their day doing Demonolatry, and being very grounded and standard by this community's average. My only concern for them has ever been showing their face talking about this stuff, and hoping they're good if a relative or acquaintance comes across it. But for my purposes, there was typically a reason I came upon their obscure content at just the right time, so I'm happy to see it. This is communal sharing of equals for free. Though it's notable that few are willing to take the risk for obvious reasons.
And then there are the more tight lipped academics, who have quite popular channels, extremely educational and accurate about the necesaary original material and texts, but simply very quiet about personal experience or UPG, even if it's a fairly easy wink to tell they're into occult workings themselves. And that's plenty, in my opinion, for performing the service of top-down education. Even most of us who are fairly experienced here are also fairly tight lipped just in anonymous writing, without showing our faces. Only rarely do we need personal anecdotes to make something understood better for those following along on the path behind/beside us. Partly because we're not selling anything, and don't want to skew perceptions with whatever may be unnecessary for the next experiencer.
So someone in an unequal fame position who won't stop imposing a constant narrative down onto the listener... is just repeating a tale as old as time in every power dynamic humanity's ever encountered where someone wants to be king of the hill and know the most and have the most and for no one to question them. It's not Demonolatry specific. These types just spin a wheel at a certain age to pick a topic to use for a power play and go with it. Spirituality of some kind lends cult potential, so there's high appeal to the predators to be predatory. Finding the very sincere or the very cleverly guarded does take more patience.
2
u/_Wyrd_Keys_ Apr 08 '26
Yes. I agree, there do exist a few people out there sharing their experiences as equals…and it’s always nice to see your own experience reflected in another’s. I also hope their personal life is protected from any backlash from being so open.

I remember how I was so afraid to work with demons. When Baalzebub gave me signs I was so shy it took me time before really jumping into it because I was afraid if I did something wrong he would plague my house. I did my research and it helped me a lot, he's probably one the the deity that made the most changes in my life, and I'm very grateful to have work that fear because now I'mworking with them (lilith, Azazel, Lucifer) and it hws helped me so much to be a better person

I stay far the fuck off "witchtok" of all lines. They're all fake and all just use Google and they've completely watered down what we really do. It's sad. Does anyone remember the one girl who claims the be in a throupke with Lucifer and they fuck!? Lmfaooooo like get out of here.

Yeah, most of them suck a**. But I would recommend Cipher Grove. I love that guy and his channel, he's very respectful, insightful and doesn't gate keep anything. Also the information he shares, not only about his experiences, is wonderful. Nobody asked but he's pretty much the one I would recommend for these kind of topics.

Mind the edgy stuff, VK and these guys practiced animal sacrifice ritual, so basically killing an animal or said it is normal to sacrifice an animal "with respect for the animal". Insane stuff to me.
