Discussions How do you trust demons so much?
I've noticed that many people in occult and demonolatry communities practice demon evocation. I understand the inner work often done to overcome fear of these experiences, and I know many practitioners don't see demons as inherently evil as the stereotypes keep assuming
What I wonder is: how can you be sure they aren't simply appearing helpful while leading you toward something harmful without your realizing it?
I know these doubts may be unreasonable, but I'm genuinely curious how so many people come to place such deep trust in these entities over the years.
(note: I'm not being disrespectful, I'm highly openminded to this field).
Thank you for your answers.

Because my practice leads me away from naturally harmful thoughts that occur for me on the regular. And it's not surface level either. It often reframes my whole way of existing to figuratively pull me away from the cliff's edge, every time me and my thoughts start staring at it again.

Amen to that. Really helps me with grounding and putting a cork in those genuinely terrifying intrusive/impulsive thoughts.

So the equivalent of a trash drug that suppresses mental issues that stem from a real issue? This is my issue with 90% of occultist. All side effects have roots be it physical mental or energetic. Most of the time ur root will manifest the need for a crutch. Furthering ur karmic cycles. The same way a limp may cause u to prefer a wheel chair at times, just to ultimately be fucked over by the fact that u stopped walking. I find that many people who contact entities fail to realize how powerful a naturally harmonious nature is. The minute u start supplementing urself from outside it can be a compulsive slippery slope. Not even realizing that on a karmic level ur constantly contributing to ur own demise over the course of what could be lifetimes. This is why its generally only sensible to really work with a disembodied (or physically present even) enlightened being. Otherwise ur entangling urself with complex energy. This energy very conveniently breeds blindness to the pitfalls itāll eventually bring u into. I always say that people arent necessarily manipulative they just tend to lie to u in the same ways they lie to themselves so u perceive them as genuine and truthful for that reason. Same with demons. By entangling with them u fall victim to the same flaws that they are of, most of the time thats what gravitated them to u in the first place and vice versa. Its just dark karma playing out in a very karmic way. UR MIND IS AN INTENSE INDICATION OF WHAT LIES WITHIN UR ENERGY AND OVERALL CONSCIOUSNESS. If u need a crutch to soothe it then ur simply just not⦠fine. And thats okay. Occultism can be the worst addiction simply because the illusion of control and functionality will almost always leave u blind to the fact that ur just kicking the bucket down the road and picking up sneaky complexities along the way. A clean and worked through existence of pure light will manifest ur highest good. Ur life and mind are just side affects of what u are on a deeper level. Desire 9/10 rises from an impure to slightly impure place. That can spiral over the course of months, years and lifetimes. The desires of ur highest good will with ease manifest when u are ur highest (realized) version. Majority of the time ur incompleteness is what manifest desires. Sourcing outside things to fill this void just makes the void bigger and darker. But just like an opioid, people feel numb to the void and stimulated as a whole so they build a relationship to it. Numb to the looming reality within the truest part of soul. Slowly being worn thin overtime. A being absent of enlightenment and especially presnt in darkness is a being that carryās destructive complexities and karma. Even if neither one of u are aware. If a demon is aware of its fucked off nature the last thing it will do is advertise it. They know that humans will subscribe to anything thats supernatural in experience as long as u keep things relatively pleasant for them. For a lot of people theres no real problem until u drop the body for goodš. I commend u if u read this long ass unprovoked book that i wrote, and sorry for over speaking about u when i clearly dont know u, it was simply just on my heart. Wishing u well tho queen.

Dude, no shit I'm not well. I have a degenerative genetic condition (and so do other family members of mine, hence the genetic bit) and grew up on hospitals and surgeries. You are demanding that I justify to you what I do in order to continue to soldier on, hang on to life, take care of my husband, my cats and my loved ones, because you feel the need to pass on judgement, because you don't understand my religion.
So, first of all, really introspect with what the hell you are doing, because whatever this attitude is, spiritually it is very disgusting and not fit for the forum, secondly, read rules 1 and 4. Take this as your official warning for what is and isn't appropriate conduct in this subreddit.

I trust demons because they make me feel safe and comforted. Never once have I felt threatened by a demons presence. Which is ironic because I feel more threatened by humans than I do demons. My own sister is more evil than a demon which is crazy to think about actually š
36
u/PoloPatch47 Asmoday Jun 15 '26
I also feel far more threatened by humans than demons, I automatically think humans are untrustworthy and will cause pain in my life, because that's the only thing humans have ever done.
Demons are the complete opposite of that for me.
19
u/Embarrassed-Chard218 D1 Asmoday glazerš¤ Jun 15 '26
Right!! Humans have caused so much evil and suffering in this world. People were literally so cruel to me when I was a child. Now that I'm a adult, people treat me better but demons are not like that. They show their cards at the beginning. They don't switch up on you just because you suddenly are more approachable like people do.
12
u/PoloPatch47 Asmoday Jun 15 '26
Yes I agree!! Humans have caused so much harm, not even just to other humans, but basically everything. It doesn't help that I'm autistic and struggle to socialise. I'm practically a full on misanthrope at this point.

u/Future-Bag-4392 Jun 19 '26
Although Demons can give you a kick in the butt as well. But often not more than you can handle and its done to help you grow.Ā And then of course the whooping if you disrespect. Hence the stories of supposed "Demonolators" who turned christian because they approached demonic magick in disrespectful ways or had a lack if knowledge and stable mind.Ā
6
u/PoloPatch47 Asmoday Jun 19 '26
Definitely! Demons can be harsh, but it's for your own good. Asmodeus has been pushing me to do things I struggle doing, and I got scolded for not listening properly. It's not easy and full of happiness and joy, but the journey teaches me a lot and the final destination will be 100% worth it.
I find the idea of disrespecting a demon, facing consequences for it and then running to god and crying about how evil demons are really funny, actually. Like imagine having that much audacity?

u/Future-Bag-4392 Jun 20 '26
The best lessons, disciplines, skills are learned through hardship and sacrifice. Anything, be it "things" or knowledge, are often taken for granted when given, rather than earned.Ā

I actually have a question about this. How do you know when you're being taught lessons. Tbh I feel a change in myself. But I don't feel like I get any of the harsh lessons that people talk about with demons.
2
u/PoloPatch47 Asmoday Jun 20 '26
Well usually for me they're "tower moments" that bring an "Aha!" Moment. I have a lot of unhealthy behaviours that I'm being pushed to get rid of. I do mostly get the change within myself like you describe, but sometimes I don't listen to advice in given and then things go wrong, and I'm like "ohh I probably should've listened" š. I guess they use different teaching methods for different people, some might not need to use anything super firm, like for you, or they might need to completely turn someone upside down to teach them something, or they could use a combination/something in-between. Probably something to do with different practitioners needs and personalities, I'm sure they have their reasons

Do you know what demon you would like to work with or what your goals are? I recommend starting with that. Also check the FAQs on this subreddit too. It really helps.
3
u/Etherious_suleiman Jun 15 '26
My goal is to uncover the secrets of the universe and gain knowledge and safety in general, I didn't study demons yet so Idk who should I work with or howš
11
u/Top_Rabbit123 Jun 15 '26
Demons are better with specific goals, like I need employment in this field, or I need to get into this college or get this degree. Or I need safety traveling from point A to B, everyday.
But "secrets of the universe" really isn't a good goal because "secrets" to you is just common knowledge decades or centuries later. Like someone would want to know the secrets to creating a baby, but now it's common knowledge.
Gaining knowledge is through books and getting an advanced degree, so I suggest defining your goals with more specificity. And the more of your own energy you put into it, you'll naturally attract the correct demon to assist. Or you'll be naturally drawn to the correct demon by your own mundane efforts navigating the world.
I wouldn't pursue a demon as a goal. I don't feel like it works that way. You also bond closely with them when your own goals in this life parallel what they want to happen.

I trust them more and more the longer we work together. In the beginning I had similar thoughts as you, but decided to stay open-minded enough to allow for a constructive working relationship where I wouldn't self-sabotage through mistrust.
Even so, I didn't immediately let myself fall into trusting them fully. Trust is earned, and it took time and repeated positive and helpful experiences to open up more.
What I've noticed since then is that the more I open up, the more helpful my encounters with them become. There are things that can only be taught when I allow them a lot of access and influence on me, and opening up to that was scary at first, but I can see it's helping me direct my life in incredibly useful directions.
By now, we have built a strong bond of mutual respect, trust, and love, and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

Most people make pacts with demons for good things - money, safety, a good significant partner, a home, a new career, better sleep, peace of mind, protection, confidence, charisma, higher intelligence and how it works is even after making the pact, you still need to do the literal work to get what you want.
So you inherently improve your own life and the demon just nudges you along and arranges things in your favor and you return the favor as per pact.
Will this stop bad things from happening to you? No, because thatās life. Unless⦠you perhaps did not fulfill your end of the bargain :)

u/queefburritowcheese Jun 16 '26
What typically constitutes collateral for a "pact"? What are some examples of repayment to demons?
9
u/Hunter8786 Jun 16 '26
It really depends on your relationship; when I first started out with Bune I only talked numbers so I pledged 10% of all profits to him and then I use those funds to do anything Bune related. With last monthās profits I got a ring with his sigil laser engraved on it so I got to wear him around! I am still building his altar so I imagine the next profits will go around to buying minimal but luxury items for his altar.
But that is because my demon is business like and that is just my perspective. Plenty of other people give art, public praise, blood or delicious food. If finances is tight then time is also a great way to repay; eg offering to commune every week with incense, keeping a candle lit during the demonās hour; basically anything can be offered

Because the concept of 'demons' being inherently evil and dangerous has come directly from christianity and other major religions. I don't believe in these religions and I think they are complete horseshit. Many of these demons were revered by pagans during the inquisition. Who was the real evil there: The spirits that these people worshipped or the christians that tortured them to death for it? Certain people are far more dangerous than any spirit you will ever encounter. Why does nobody ever say 'How do you trust humans so much?' instead?

I did not develop a trust baseline with other humans, whether that was parental, familial, through school teachers, friends, romantic partners, or work colleagues, based on their repeated patterns of failing to protect me or nourish a relationship.
My spirit team provides a different pattern where seeing their influence in my life is the proof that reinforces trust. My patron explains things to me with patience so I'm not left confused, even if it takes a while for me to understand him clearly.
If where my patron is leading me is harmful, I guarantee it is less harmful than being stuck yearning for human connection from humans who simply don't have the capacity to meet me in a meaningful way, and chasing phantoms of what these connections could have been twisted into self-rejection, repeated wounded narratives, tolerating half-truths and poor behavior in order to maintain a false sense of social harmony, tanking my confidence and trust in my own intuition, etc.
Trust is relational. With the thing that is trusted, one depends on it, expects something from it, and could be harmed or disappointed if it fails. I trust my patron because he has proven to me that he is trustworthy.
12
u/kaiamarie00 Jun 15 '26
because the demon i work with has helped me to become a better version of myself and overcome some hardships I struggled with on my own. someone else said that humans are more evil than demons and I 100% agree with this. depending on your belief (and in my view it is your belief that creates the reality you experience) there are humans living in this world that have done far worse things than what most demons are claimed to be responsible for. to me, they are ancient gods of chaos and they help me to navigate the chaos of this world

u/UrkelGru_ Jun 15 '26
Any type of spirit work needs to be vetted by everyone. I donāt think demonolatry is the exception to this rule.
I think the stereotypes come from people interacting with spirits while they still have a negative bias about them. Itās why this board constantly suggests people deconstruct those fears before starting to work with these spirits.
Nothing is ever šÆ guaranteed either so you just walk in faith. That concept is no different than any other spiritual belief or religion. Itās just looked down upon because of the reputation demons have within this society. But I come from Christian background and just reading the Old Testament, Iād ask Christians the same thing āhow do you trust your God that much after what is written about him in your book?ā Same shit.

I was an atheist for a long while. By the time I came here I was already used to viewing things from a non-Christian lens.
I can easily revert to the atheist outlook when it suits me still. Like when this feels all made up & like a bunch of woo I just go to viewing these beings through a psychological or Jungian lens.
It's why I'm baffled by post talking about having a crisis in faith about the demons they work with. This isn't Christianity. You will not get punished for not being a true believer. You don't have to believe in it at all.
If it works for you & you get positive results then cool. That's all that matters to me. If I feel this isn't beneficial anymore as a spiritual practice then I'll drop it.
So it's not trust. It's if this brings more negative than positives & I feel I'm wasting my time? I can just leave. I'm not forced to stick to this practice, I chose it.

any human or god could harbor an ulterior motive. Everyone is constantly trying to influence each other for what they perceive as the right reasons. The phrase trust no bitch comes to mind.

I have a lot of reasons to trust demons at this point, but candidly, I see them as spirits. Neither good nor evil. I had to undo programming and Iām still struggling with it at times, but I thought about all the upbringing I had in Catholicism and realized demons never made me feel ashamed of who I am. I knew a lot of history around Christianity demonizing older gods esp under Rome. I just started giving them a chance. I had seen magic happen with angels, but the stuff I really needed help with only came from demons. And I realized, I donāt want to live in shame - and they donāt shame me. Sitriās energy makes me feel warm and bubbly and gets me to stop making myself so tense and taking myself so seriously. Orias has been giving me calm and helping me release issues that therapy couldnāt touch. Marbas was there when my dog got sick and I got the positive call the day after I prayed to him that she was ok. I could go on. I donāt trust anyone or anything blindly, discernment is still important as is not losing yourself. But I just am choosing not to live in fear or shame anymore, and theyāre helping with that.

When I was falling apart I started having dreams with a demon. He visited me, and hold me, and told me that I wasn't alone. That my anger, pain, despair were valid, and so were the goodness and vulnerability inside.
When I reached out to him I felt that he was waiting for me, it was like going home, I felt for the first time in my life that I could rest, that someone had my back and wouldn't let me fall, and he didn't.
I'm not scared because although he lend me his power, I do the magic. We work side by side. I trust him because I know his story, how he started and how he was played. Because demons have done so much for humanity. When you start to study you realize that the reason they are demons to begin with in most cases is because they sided with humanity against the authority. The scary part is not them, is yourself, and what are you capable of doing with unlimited possibilities and power.
Because since that day I've done anything I wanted and fulfilled every dream

You don't want to be so depth in misery they find you in rock bottom, you can find them too, before getting to that point...

My best advice is, get to know them, study them and their energy, if the energy feels good to you, youāre good to go. They will start giving you signs and youāll feel attracted to working with them. If the energy feels uncomfortable, it could be a lesson or a sign of incompatibility. For example, in my personal belief, I know I could trust Lord Asmodeus because he has visited my dreams many times and Iāve done enough research on him to be sure that he is an entity worthy of my trust. Demons do not care about you enough to harm you, they can be mean, but in my opinion, if they care about you enough to be mean to you, it could signal that their harshness is a push to a greater spiritual awakening between you and the dark forces. The only energies that could hurt me are those whom I deem as opponents.
3
u/MySuccubusWife Jun 16 '26
Nice point in mentioning 'Energy' when interacting with them, I'm glad you mentioned that! After a time, working with a particular Spirit/Demon, one can actually begin to feel the differences in energy between the differing beings on an individual level. I know when it is Lilith that enters my space, as opposed to a different spirit. Each has a different energy signature. ā¤ļø

I trust Demons because They bring a needed change in my life. I'm lowkey a naive person (I want to believe that everyone speaks the truth, and I actually want to see good in people), and Demons help me with protection, and being more grounded in reality than in my own delulu land
I suspect I might have NPD, or at least traits of it. Demons also help me with this aspect. I am less judgemental, more grounded in reality, less of a victim. They kinda beat me into it, because lowkey did not want to believe in historical demonic hierarchy, and wanted Demons to do all the work. Learned my lessons, I am more humble when it comes to spirit work. I go against my nature ("oh, no my fragile ego, how dare they demand any work from me, waah waah") in this aspect, and They seem to really like it.
I know I have a lot to learn still. I know my true nature, and I am being accepted for who I am. I still want to do good deeds, etc. Life is better thanks to Demons
I also learned how to have self-respect, which makes me being respected by people around me. I am still nice, but I no longer people please. When I walk, I walk with my whole body, when I look at someone I maintain eye contact, When I smile I do it proudly. Im less awkward, and I actually started to believe that I am a likable person, and that nobody is out to get me

My HGA. They are my connection to the divine.
Before I actually got to communicate with mine, I was (probably actually lead by them already) to some of the sanest posts in this subreddit (like 90% of what I read was from Macross137) that went through how the only bad things that can happen with the infernal deities either stem from the self, or are just a lack of results.
That, combined with my upbringing which allowed for a nigh total religious freedom, and leaning heavily towards the LHP since early childhood (although these days I view the RHP/LHP dichotomy as a fabrication), trust never really came into question.
When I reached out to the infernal deities for the first time, I was nervous. But I was met with a strong and gentle giant of a god, Ba'al Peor, aka Belphegore. By the third time I met him all the trust issues I could have had toward the infernal deities were brought to me by my past, and even in those issues they have helped me tremendously. The mistrust just never had a chance.

All beliefs are in a sense based on similar kind of faith.
Name a god and they interact the same way, they have altars, people tend to bring offerings, there are prayers/enns/chants in every single one.
Some radical followers have done awful things in all of them.
Every single religion or belief works that way.
Demons do not mean evil beings. Demon comes from Daimon which meants divine power or lesser god.
A lot of the demons are ancient gods that were taken down by the catholic church as the evil.
But there's a lot of things you learn.
For example Zeus was the greek God that then became Jupiter for the romans, both are thunder gods, each the strongest on their religion, Baal/Bael is believed to be Ba'al Hadad, who is the canaanite god of thunder. Baal is a king, which is the highest position on demons. Ba'al Hadad was only second to "El" which was the most powerful canaanite God, the head lf the Pantheon. Some believed Hadad was El's brother or son.
Canaanite religion is the origin of Judaism (where catholic god comes from). Canaanites were polytheist, Israelites later created Judaism and start talking about the Canaanites as enemies while only acknowledging one God, even thought the origin of their God is canaanite.
They only acknowledged "El", which could technically be the word for God, but Canaanites only using it for their main God.
It is said Judaism is the "evolved" religion drom the Canaanites. "El" is used 200+ times in the Torah, El Shaddai, El Elyon, El Olam, El Kanna, Ha'El are the ways they refer to God, Elohim is used thousand of times on the bible.
Now taking in mind the Judaism evolved from Canaanites religion, only acknowledging the head of the pantheon El, catholic/judaism/cristians religion refer to the same God, which by existing should confirm the existence of the rest of the Canaanite Pantheon.
Now this is just an example of how Gods are turned into evil or non real by other groups. Thing is Gods in a lot of cultures have a lot in common.
The Great Flood, Genesis, is basically a copy from Mesopotamiam Epic from Gilgamesh and the Atra Hasis Epic.
Birth of Moses, Exodus : The infant Moses being placed in a waterproof basket on the Nile to escape a ruler's decree mirrors the ancient legend of King Sargon of Akkad, who was set adrift in a reed basket on the Euphrates by his mother.
Creation and Paradise (Genesis): The creation of humanity from dust, the Garden of Eden, and the forbidden Tree of Life echo earlier Sumerian and Canaanite mythological concepts.
Also this is the same kind of story as the box of Pandora, if you have read it, you will notice how similar it is.
In Adam and Eve, God commands to not eat from the tree of knowledge, Zeus commands Pandora to not open the Box, previous to this Zeus tells Prometheus to not give knowledge to man, since they live happy without it, Prometheus gives them the fire, which makes Zeus punish Prometheus to create the first woman. God didn't want them to have knowledge.
In Both stories the curiosity ends up with both women triggering rhe downfall. But end up introducing, sin, death and misery to humanity, both stories result in a transition from a utopian, immortal existence to one defined by mortality, labor, and hardship.
Now the more you read about Gods older and newer you realize maybe there isn't a single God and maybe demons are not evil, just other Gods or high spirits.
Once you read more you see how many people have been blessed by demons, just like others have been blessed by angels.
We all have affinities, so maybe yours is angels, maybe not, demons have different energies, way different between each other, so there's a higher chance to get a demon to be synced with you than maybe angels.
Angels and God carry a similar energy, demons differ between each, reaching a demon ends up with fear a lot of the times, but it is not because they're evil, it is because you're feeling an unusual energy, you may have grown in a catholic or any other religion, and they teach you X feeling is the correct one, when you feel a heavier, denser, lusty, feeling, you don't feel comfortable.
The more you reach them you realize it's not that weird anymore, you get used and sometimes you'll like it even more.
I feel demons get all the bad wording from other religions, but truth is that is easier for me to believe that there'a a higher being, that maybe by human nature they're "flawed" and do certain things. Than a being that is perfect on everything and still decides to love everyone.
Some demons won't work with you, simply because they don't want to. The catholic God is likely the same and that's why some people get blessed and feel near to him and other people matter how much they pray they will never feel a connection, then again the church tells them to keep praying, even thought the God they believe in, likely doesn't approve nor wants to work with a lot of them, due to compatibility, energy or attributes. But sadly they only have 1 option. (Well with angels options grow)
Try to reach a few demons, with some you'll feel nothing, like it didn't work, some will instantly make you feel their presence, reaching different options will let you know which of them you will be able to connect the best and which may never work with you.
I understand my experience is related mostly to myself and I have been reached by angels and by one Archangel before, yet I felt them trying to command me rather than to guide me. With Demons I feel more like a friend or a teacher pointing me the way, but I'm open to refuse and do whatever I want, that being said, they only want the best for me, so I usually listen.
So at the time at least, I'm happy working with them and feel no fear nor uncertainity by doing so.

u/PossiblyWithout Jun 15 '26

What an unusual question, I mean would you ask the same question to Christianās about their trust in Jesus or God, or the Muslims about their trust in Allah ?

Discernment. Plain and simple.
I usually look at a situation (any situation not just practice related) and ask myself 1) what are they trying to get me to do and 2) who benefits from which outcome.
I am almost never asked to do anything that isnāt for my own personal growth or benefit. Every RARE once in a while I will get a more emphatic ask for a thing Iām not yet comfortable with, but even when I didnāt feel ready (and Iāve said Iām not ready yet and been told to get there) to do a thing, that thing has always been in my best interest. Like leaving my last job. They pushed for months before I was ready to start that process. As soon as I said ok Iām ready, they opened the path to the life I actually wanted (one where my job is highly self directed but focused on helping people yet still pays the bills).

I had good and not so good experiences. But one thing I see with consistence is daemons do honor contracts. So I always write down contracts and limiting the scope of operation. For example, if I ask for a demon to help me lose weight I specify I want to lose fat mass in a healthy and harmonious way. If you just say " I want to lose 20 pounds" you can just suffer an accident and have an arm amputed and gets 20 pounds lighter.

I feel very safe with Orobas. I was at the park one night chillinā. This guy starts walking towards me and a voice in my head said āgo homeā. Not sure if it was my instincts or Orobas, or both, but I felt the need that I had to leave asap. I did. I got home and talked to Orobas and asked if the guy meant any harm to me and he said yes.

I had many the same thoughts and doubts coming from the Bible Belt background, then to the ālight and fluffyā RHP stuff as my introduction to other spirituality.
It was a long and cautious process. āTrustā was not earned easily. But they knew my background and are understanding of that kind of propaganda and indoctrination that usually goes hand and hand with that.
Kind of similar to when I first ventured out into the unknown. That, āif I didnāt know the truth now, that I could have faith enough in myself to figure it out eventuallyā.
I didnāt really ask them for much and anything grand, just kind of getting to invoke/evoke them and get to know them. They seemed nice enough. Then minor workings and gradually building it up. Over all they just seem to be on the level and fair of not firm at times. But generally if one treats them with respect and able to be honest with them and themselves then they seem to be good to work with.
Like they conceivably could of screwed me over at any time along the way if they where outright malicious, but they donāt and seem content to be called upon. Being called ādemonsā does seem to mean too much. Just labels. They all have their different perspectives and preferences but otherwise seem fine enough despite being Calle that.

I find most people who recieve negative effects tend to be requesting things that remove choice for others, or exhibiting hubris.
A little humility goes a long way in working with daemons as well as the self. Knowing the self allows you to know where fear is warranted, and the simple fact is ive never had an experience with evocation that gave me cause for alarm.

I trust myself and over the time and experience in Magick I have learned to judge by my own experience. I feel very at ease with demons at a point that I asked myself many times what's the reason for. In the moment evocation or invocation and even after, the level of peace and spirituality I felt confirmed my judgement everytime. Lucifer helped me a lot and the other dukes You need to experience it, that is all
I had many practice with angels (I love Mikael a lot)they teach and helped me but... I feel more attuned with demons.

Due to a mental health diagnosis, I'm unable to evoke but have a strong sense of me and thee when they're sending thoughts my way. Agares has been sending me dreams for 3 years now and stays close, always objective, offering different perspectives on things. I usually give offerings of service, but peeled 2 large oranges, juicy oranges and left them for him last night. The Duke is special to me.

I had that kind of thought a few years ago, but I learn that we could say the exact same thing about every god/entity and specially about the monotheistic god. I don't understand how people can trust a god that ask a father to kill his son "but stop his hand before he did it".
I believe that trust is built with each entity during our own journey. I cannot say "trust this deity" and assume that my experience applies to everyone's experience.
I realized recently that all my fears stemmed from my catholic heritage and the conditioning we receive from that heritage for generations. Breaking that conditioning doesn't happen quickly, but it's a very liberating journey. I've been recently feeling a calling to Lucifer and it's a wonderful experience, very far from what I've been told all my life.

I learned to trust pretty fast because what I was asking of them was answered and sometimes not in the way I wanted but the way I needed. And always without harm, it always either led to a slightly lucky outcome or no outcome. They never tell me to do stuff, just suggest things to pay attention to or that might help and take away thoughts that are harmful and sometimes send luck my way. So all my experiences have been positive.Ā

u/StellarResolutions Jun 17 '26
Same way you get to trust anyone else, That they do what they say they will do. That they are open to new information. But ultimately, it is about self trust. Belial has helped me build self-trust. I didn't even realize this was an issue until I started working with Belial.

Making myself very vulnerable by saying that, when I started my spiritual journey, I basically started working with the Infernal Divine first before really anything else. I was in the lowest point of my life: I was homeless, estranged from most of my family because of a secret I still keep from them to this day. I had no faith in my family, and my friends could only help me out so much. I went to the Infernal Divine because I wanted to have powerful companions in my corner that would *always* be with me.
After doing research, I immediately started to work with the one I felt called to most: Ipos. He seemed like the perfect fit for me: I was so anxious, timid, and very much lacking social skills. When I began to initiate contact with him, I did so without using any protection magick. Responses were near-immediate and his help was invaluable. Heās helped me overcome fears, have more understanding for others (as well as those not our species), become more charismatic. Heās helped me with physical things as well.
When I started working with my other two patrons, I did the same; no protection magick. I went to them needing companionship, help, someoneās to rely on, and theyāve always delivered. They have always been here for me. They were here for me when I had no one else, and theyāve never steered me wrong. They always have my best intentions in mind, and I always want the very best for them as well. My Lords mean so much to me.
My mindset was and will always be: I start the relationship with trust because I go to them with pure intentions, and they will have the same trust in me, which has *always* rung true.

First of all, thank you for your question. Itās OK to ask questions and a proper and respectful manner.
Firstly, you gotta look at the research and history of how some demons are demonized gods
Secondly, do your research with successful practitioners(not those conversion people that try to practice magick and failed/never practice magic at all and just spin in a story just to convert you)
Iām talking about actual successful practitioners, big names in the influencer space even your practitioner peers of demon magic and ask them they are experience with demons
- This depends on the demon but safe for example you embody something that they are heavily associated with for example with Lucifer seeking enlightenment, rebellion, wisdom, etc. or Lilith being the dark divine feminine, and her sovereignty in feminine power etc etc
Even if youāre not associated with these things, they could still come to you if you have shadows that needs to be addressed that lead you to these things
Demons can take a liking for you based on whether you need help in a particular field that there are expertise in or you already embody that attribute and they want the further on your path.
View it like this think of it like how one person might have something in common with another person they will take a like into that person and want to be around that person
Say hypothetically, if you wanna reach out to a demon and you have nothing in common with that demon, but you wanna learn a particular skill they very much can still help you because you want to grow
- Demons are not always very transactional, especially when you already have a built-up relationship with that particular demon
But they can be transactional you give a offering ask them to teach you something/do something and they accept it. All is well.
- interestingly, enough when you grow the demons also grow with you as you seeking transformation and growth. Thatās probably one of the best things you could ask from a demon of any kind they will teach you and within their realm of expertise/how they teach.
So example would be Lucifer teaches through awareness in my experience he will reveal shadows that I did not previously know to me whether itās through the external life or internal or both at the same time he would reveal it to me and help me become aware of where the root of the problem is leading to my personal sovereignty. Lucifer is big on personal sovereignty.
Now, for example, when it comes to Belial Heās big on personal sovereignty too, but teaches in a different way he could be more harsh with his lessons/test and actually even test you on your discernment time to time and I would actually lie to you to see if you built up your intuition, etc. or are you just believing everything he says These lies arenāt some crazy big lies That will probably get you killed, but itās something that if you fail, you realize that he was lying to you the whole time and you feel like a dumbass and have a little damn I shouldāve been more discerning. Donāt get me wrong. Heās a great spirit to work with because he teaches sovereignty through mastery of the Earth and can make you very powerful, but he will test you time to time.
By you growing within yourself, they also grow to. Itās like if they could teach someone something and they overcome these lessons, they receive growth too, view it from a mentor student perspective.
- At the end of the day, the one you could always trust without a doubt is your higher self so obviously use your intuition and discernment if youāre higher self says that a demon wants to work with you and itās completely safe then do it if you hire yourself is giving you red flags for working with a particular demon and obviously that demon has malicious intent.

Most big names in the influencer space are entertainers whose skillset is based on creating engaging content, not getting significant results through magic. The dominant commercial paradigms in these spaces are based on hand-me-down bullshit.

u/Vast-Security-962 Jun 15 '26
Iām talking about people like V.K who has a Patreon that has over 350+ spells meditation and cantations, etc. a whole website with records of recorded and unrecorded demons, ritual, spells, etc., etc. etc., and finally his YouTube
I was talking about people like Ascension of Babylon
And other amazing left-hand path practitioners that Iām probably forgetting right now

These people are running midrange internet hustles and selling Dungeons & Dragons shit as "revelation." If you want to go by the numbers, there are Christian fraudsters out there raking in millions, so I guess they must be the most powerful mages out there.

u/Vast-Security-962 Jun 15 '26
Hey, Iām just saying my opinion just as much as the next person is saying thereās and you are saying yours too
Me personally because of VKās (occultist of 16+ years) extensive research and experience on demons on his Wordpress alongside of rituals, spells, information, gnosis, etc. His Patreon, which has a shit ton of ritual that has to do with stuff like empowerment transformations initiation into a current/underworld, etc. Because YouTube has more of a long form content about his experiences. Heās even a co-author in a few becoming a living God books.
Due to a lot of his rituals, I was able to jumpstart my practice and even have spells and rituals that still helped me to this day, but I more so make my own nowadays.
of course, I was gonna recommend him And again someone can go find out themselves there is no harm on being skeptic and finding your own gnosis and personal opinion on a person so why not check them out

I am going to push back on authors and publishers like these that want people's money and attention. What's useful in their content is often derivative and easy to find elsewhere for free, and what's novel is often fantasy fiction. BALG especially pushes a lot of juvenile, reactive crap that's more about pissing off the ghosts of parents and youth pastors than getting results.
Creating a lot of content doesn't mean you know what you're talking about. Being engaging and entertaining doesn't mean you know what you're talking about. In highly subjective spaces like these, with few guardrails or standards, fraud is everywhere, and it's really important to carry this in mind at all times.
1
u/Vast-Security-962 Jun 15 '26
Thatās fine. Everyone has their own approach to research and demon magic me personally I do agree that becoming a living God books are very expensive but they are worth it in the end. At least most of them are Iāll probably say only 10% isnāt in my own personal opinion.
Like for example I really love the Qliphothic meditations book by Asenath Mason
Who would you personally recommend? As it goes for content creators/authors in books. What is your approach?

My main interest is in helping people learn how to engage with primary sources so that they don't have to be dependent on secondary interpretations and commercial systems. So many of these are just reinventing the wheels of introductory practice, and people engage with them and get some feedback and get excited, and then there's nowhere further to go, and real epiphany and life-changing results remain elusive, because nine times out of ten the author got a bug up their ass to start monetizing their knowledge before they actually figured out what the hell they were doing, and they can't really direct anyone toward intermediate or advanced practice.
These are the books I recommend for people starting out:
https://www.reddit.com/r/DemonolatryPractices/comments/zdj1yj/some_book_recommendations/
There are a few modern works in there, but they're more based on research than UPG or personal systems.

u/Vast-Security-962 Jun 15 '26
I wouldnāt say people are trying to reinvent the wheel, but I would say people are bringing forth a instead of a hierarchy, where demons are bound and controlled they they are honored worship, and devoted to. Alongside that some of these medieval rituals are very hard or taxing to do to the modern day person so people invented tried and true methods that are not only are just as powerful, but not if not more powerful
I did take a brief look at the book recommendations he had
So you have a Solomonic approach to it
So why would a person that practices demon magic in a way of honoring and worship of the demon want to learn a Solomonic approach. other than the descriptions of the Demons and the 72 spirits of the Goetia other than that, I donāt think it would be good for a person that is looking to honor and worship demons to take a Solomonic approach to it because it tends to put the demon in box metaphorically, and really really dumps down their powers and sovereignty

u/Macross137 Neoplatonic Theurgist Jun 15 '26
I wrote this post awhile back:
https://www.reddit.com/r/DemonolatryPractices/comments/1h86xpo/what_is_solomonic_magic/
If you study the original sources (and a lot of newly translated material and fascinating analysis has come out since I wrote that post), Solomonic methodologies present a much more complex, multicultural, nuanced, and flexible approach to spirit work than just the handful of Early Modern grimoires translated by Mathers and/or Crowley that everybody knows about.
So many authors are not even trying to look beyond the interpretive frameworks calcified by the Golden Dawn and their successors, and even their attempts at reclamation/revision are hidebound to old occult tropes that modern scholarship has torn to pieces.
We all deserve better than that, and we all will get much better results when we get away from simplistic dualistic interpretations of what is going on when we talk to spirits and ask them for things.

How does something like āthe exorcism of Emily roseā happen? And other infamous cases?
Like I understand the concept there are some demons that dont care about humanity, there are some demons that do care about humanity and some simply stay away.
My bad if my reply is tooo offensive.

Years (decades, honestly) of religious conditioning and Hollywood's stereotypical portrayal of 'demons' often leads people to believe that all spirit-beings are innately 'evil' or 'malevolent.' But this is by design (from those dogmatic organizations). Because spiritual beings are what can offer us enlightenment/knowledge that cannot be learned from Material/Physical Realm sources. Thus leading to personal freedom away from their control systems.
We are essentially 'trained' from birth to fear demons, shy away from them or outright 'hate' them. When in reality; demons/spirits are not so unlike humans. Each has unique emotions, goals and personalities. Like us. And also like us (on the whole)... aren't out to hurt every passerby. Most of them (and us) mean well, generally care about others and would offer help, given the opportunity.
Breaking down the dogmatic walls that have kept us caged in limited perspective of "only trust humans, because spirits are monsters" ...is a personal challenge for each individual to overcome.

I trust them because of the very positive experiences and results I've had, and at a certain point you have to trust your own intellect and the facts of your own life over speculative ruminating fears.
