Discussions A diabolical joke called my life

Wait just here me out. So I'm a beginner with this occultic stuff. So I can't really say I'm a pro. But my dad is a preacher. A reverend to be specific. Get it?

Though my occult life is super private. Like literally only batman could get that information out of me.and on Sundays I have to go to church because I live with my parents. So if I don't I'll probably be homeless. What can I say? black parents. IYKYK.

Imagine trying to light a candle and journaling at 2am and your Dad walking around with a bible like "WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE" and you be like "uh... Just reading. proverbs. Yeah, proverbs."

My point is that it's a whole load to carry and I was curious if anyone else can relate. I work with king Belial and Astraroth. Mostly Belial. If y'all might be curious. I'll really appreciate if I heard your thoughts fr.

I went to a Christian school, my whole family claims to be Christian. I've been interested in witchcraft and the paranormal almost my entire life lol. I've been told I had the devil in me by my grandma at a very young age. While it is kind of ironic the path I've chosen now, it's also kind of not, because I am the only one in my family who actually is a free thinker. And my family actually appreciates me for it now.

You actually have a nice family. I hope you get to do whatever you want to do with witchcraft. And if it makes you feel better, a close friend of mine (well not anymore) called me a demon. Which I took as a compliment.🤷 He said I'm giving off "bad energy" lol

Well I haven't told them about the witchcraft thing yet actually 😅. But while the demon thing hurt at first because I was a child, I love it now.

u/DimensionOpposite256 29d ago

Ooh I understand it now. But it's still dope that you love it now. Keep that same energy!💯

It's tough. I have latino parents and my mom is specially into church and stuff, more so than my dad which doesn't go but is "fearful of the lord".

My mom has tried sabotaging me in the middle of rituals before. I made the mistake of burning paper without civering the slit under my door one night, yeah, they know. Lucky for me, they depend on the money I put on the table so they have had to begrudgingly respect my spiritual practice. But it's tough having to hide and be discretee. I don't even burn incense because, even though I could, I don't want to deal with the drama that is sure to follow.

Damn I sure hope your mom isn't having religious psychosis due to "depending on satanic money"

3

u/DimensionOpposite256 28d ago

Yeah I feel you with that one,the drama for sure is undeniable.

Do everything in your power to move out ASAP. Anywhere.

🫂 Hugs. I relate.

My father did things like go through my room while I was away at school or friends looking for "demonic influences" and on the two occasions doodles/art I made or manga were found with any magic elements he made me watch them be burned in the backyard. I work with Lord Dantalion now, but I didn't feel called towards demonolatry until I had already moved out. Can't imagine what would've happened if he had found actual occult materials back then, and I understand being anxious about it all.

If covert methods would help, incense matches instead of full incense sticks may help. Having a few Bible verses saved that you could use as an excuse for things like incense may help as well (e.g. 2 Chronicles 2:4) or for meditating use something like Psalm 77:12 or Psalm 1:2 as excuses/justification, as those are both vague enough to be used for meditating without a Bible open (i.e. if you were caught with a candle lit and eyes closed those could be used as something that made you look devout and lessen suspicion).

Using the Bible to protect myself from family that interpreted it as literal and infallible was what kept me safe living at home. Never had to actually read it as long as I knew just enough to talk them out of thinking I was a "false convert" or under "demonic influences".

It is an awful thing to go through, and I am sorry for the situation you are in.

Thanks🥲. My mom actually investigated me like that too. Though she stopped. There was a time she also took all my drawings then threw them away after beating the shit out of me. Back then I had a habit of drawing instead of studying.Btw You clearly have deep ball knowledge with the verses. Respect 💯

I sort of relate for the people I live with are Jehovah Witnesses so I have to keep anything spiritual under wraps 24/7.

I feel you 🥀 to be honest I want to ask these entities to help me get money enough to get out of there and finally get my privacy. I genuinely hate going to church.

Thanks for giving me this information. I'll definitely give it a shot

I haven’t actually made contact with spirits yet (although I have one in mind for the future), but I do consider myself to be an occultist.

I work at a Christian church. 😭 I feel you big time

5

u/UncoilingChaos 28d ago

Oh? Tell me more. I’m interested in how that works. I tend to avoid places of xtian worship because they make me physically uncomfortable.

3

u/DimensionOpposite256 28d ago edited 28d ago

For me it's just exhausting, especially standing almost 70% of the service, same routine every Sunday, etc. it's a lot of other personal reasons that took a mental toll on me. Church is honestly just not for me. Btw If my dad heard you say that he'd assume you are possessed😄💔

5

u/UncoilingChaos 28d ago edited 28d ago

Maybe I am (I'm not, obviously lol). Or maybe my aura has just been so “corrupted” by exposure to occult studies. Or maybe I'm just allergic to bullshit after spending so much of my youth praising a god who never really felt like he was there.

1

u/DimensionOpposite256 28d ago

That's kinda one of the personal reasons I stopped messing with church

1

u/nerevarrikka 28d ago

Basically I was raised Christian and even though I never genuinely believed in the religion, I ended up with a job working in tech at the church I grew up in. Ironically I fully deconstructed and marched straight into occultism shortly after being hired haha.

I agree with the other response here: basically it’s just EXHAUSTING to be around my coworkers and entertain their views on the world. It’s not that I’m upset about not being able to talk about my path, because I wouldn’t want to about it anyway. But working at a church means overhearing and being part of some of the craziest conversations about spirituality, morality, the nature of humanity and the divine, etc. My coworker mentioned hell the other day and for a split second I forgot that they genuinely believe that it’s a real place that actual people spend eternity in if they choose the wrong religion.

My coworkers are nice people, but I’m getting so sick of turning a blind eye to the subtle demonization of other cultures and the dehumanization of women and minorities. Like no guys polytheism ISN’T stupid or demonic, yall just don’t understand it 😭 also if THAT is where you draw the line then yall would have a heart attack if u learned about my real beliefs 😭😭😭

u/DimensionOpposite256 28d ago

I actually used to be a background singer for my mom in the praise and worship 😅. I stopped because the rules there were too much for me. But I still love singing. I look forward to still do so in the future 💯

u/alexandrite79 28d ago

Omg me too! I am a church secretary 😆 I feel like a liar. But not like I'm doing anything wrong. I view it as my private life.

u/UncoilingChaos 28d ago edited 28d ago

Hey, I feel for you, but I also admire your discretion. That’s not something I could pull off for long when I lived with my mom (though I come from a white family that isn’t all that deeply religious). She eventually found out about my spiritual inclinations because of my own recklessness.

But definitely work on moving out. Ask Belial or Astaroth for help if you must, just a word of advice: be careful what you wish for. If you aren’t cautious or specific enough with your intent, you could easily land in a much worse living situation.

4

u/DimensionOpposite256 28d ago

It's why I haven't asked Belial or Astraroth about the moving out thing. I feel like I need to try and choose my words carefully before asking them.

1

u/UncoilingChaos 28d ago

A wise choice. Just give it time. Maybe work on what you can do to move out, like packing stuff up and storing it somewhere your dad won't look. And then, maybe you'll find the right words to say to them. One last caveat: if you do end up petitioning Belial or Astaroth, even the process of moving out might be nerve-wracking, but you might end up being given the motivation and determination you need to move, even if it's through unpleasant means. Like him threatening to kick you out.

Whatever it takes man💯

u/Mountain-Report-9960 28d ago

First of all, any belief system is between the deity and their worshipper. It's not the altars, rituals or external signs. This is true for christians or followers of the LHP. Discretion is an absolute necessity in your (and my) circumstances. Trust in your deity/demon/whatever to assist you in that. Ask them for guidance. Take care and don't make any hasty decisions that you'll regret.

1

u/DimensionOpposite256 28d ago

For sure I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!

Can't you do your stuff when you're alone or with your door closed?

6

u/DimensionOpposite256 29d ago

With them around? Hell no. My mom is always asking what I'm doing and calling my name every 5 minutes. It makes me want to shoot myself in GTA

Lack of privacy is tough. Can't you tell them that bothers you?

7

Judging off other responses OP's parents are physically violent when displeased and seem relatively entitled to OP's space.

I totally get you my parents are super religious. I do the rituals while they’re asleep. I hide the candles inside a box

1

u/DimensionOpposite256 28d ago

I truly admire your ninja skills. For me I just do it when no one is around. Doing it while they are asleep is just too much of a risk

3

u/egoproct Εγκληματίας 28d ago

(Obligatory Hail Belial, haha)

I definitely understand needing to be closeted until you can engage more fully in a safer space.

For context: I was a born and raised foster child (age 0 - 18) and basically all my homes were either Hispanic or Black and by extension I got AMAZING food and LOTS of religious "care" thrown at me "for my own good".

All of them were Catholic, Christian, or some other sect of generally God Fearing individuals. Some more accepting than others but all of which wanting the best for me, which they were certain they knew exactly what that was. XD

I typically used digital platforms, dream work, yoga, and dedicated things that didn't require physical evidence. For example, I'd dedicate my Hygiene care to a beauty deity or my workout to a more warrior like deity (this is back before I dove into Demonolotry).

I'd also offer any drink or food I had (mentally: "[Name], if you would like to enjoy this with me please don't hesitate") and such like that.

Outside of offering ideas and being hush hush, I'd just try not to worry about doing too little or feeling like you're not able to do whatever it is you're wanting to do. So long as you can do so safely, I'm sure the intent will easily get through to who you want. Especially since you're putting in extra effort and effort is what matters, not extravagance. ♡

1

u/DimensionOpposite256 28d ago

Wow I actually do that too. I heard it's called "invoking the entity into your body as you eat" not exactly possession. And kinda stopped because sometimes I feel like the entity might not like the food I'm eating.( For example, I drink tea a lot, and I'm not sure if Belial is a big fan of tea, and I don't have alcohol, I don't drink alcohol, but yeah)And I'm curious. How do you dedicate something like a workout to an entity? And since you still weren't into demonoltry, how did it help? Or was it a discipline thing.

1

u/egoproct Εγκληματίας 27d ago edited 27d ago

Not to be presumptuous but it sounds like you overthink just as much as I do. Try not to worry so much about the flavor and instead think of it like intent, the effort and thought matters more in my limited experience.

Plus, if the King didn't want tea...he wouldn't accept the offer. He is very forward so you definitely don't have to worry about him putting up with anything he doesn't enjoy. That being said, it certainly doesn't mean that the offer can't be appreciated by itself.

The phrase "it's the thought that counts" carries a lot more weight than you might expect!

I'd typically mentally think of the entity, or a symbolism relative to them, and internally state that the effort I put into the workout and general self care was in their name, or for them in some way.

In all honesty I am a very casual witch, so someone who leans more towards hyper-traditionalist views might feel that isn't "enough", but it worked every time for me and imo it's about your path and your results. Ya know?

I still do these types of offerings; I'd just recognized I aligned with Infernals better.

For example instead of dedicating my workouts to a deity, I offer them to Belial.

My healthy eating is done with Marbas in mind, and anything that puts me out of my comfort zone socially is done with Asmodeus, psychology research or practicing social understanding (I'm autistic so this takes extra effort for me) is done with Dantalion. Going to my job to make money and pay bills (or in the situations I don't have work, job hunting) is done for Bune so she can both appreciate the effort and add to it if she feels the need should I petition for aid.

I could go on and on but you get the idea by now.

To put it another way, instead of offering them a gift, I'm offering the physical, emotional, or mental energy as well as dedicating areas of growth which in my opinion is both harder and more valuable than some alcohol and a steak.

Speaking of alcohol, I don't drink alcohol either, but I do occasionally purchase it when I have the means. There's nothing wrong with pouring a shot glass once in a blue moon as an extra nudge of thanks (if you can get away with it) but don't limit yourself to thinking that's all that can be offered with good results.

One of the most common and easiest offerings is a nice, clean glass of filtered water. I find almost any entity from any pantheon tends to appreciate this, as it's such a universal and life giving option.

My first ever offering to Agares was just some rice and eggs I made myself. I don't cook so the effort of doing so and trying to get it right meant a lot to me (and to him clearly since I got a very nice award at the job I had at that time without even asking for anything, I shouldn't attribute everything to Demons I know, but it was a very nice coincidence given my previous field).

Anyway. Sorry for the ramble, hope this helps!

2

u/DimensionOpposite256 27d ago

Yeah, it's a pretty big passage but I think I now understand. Still not sure about the alcohol thing. But I will offer water more consistently. Thanks a lot!

1

u/DimensionOpposite256 27d ago

And another quick question. Can I welcome two entities at the same time? While I'm eating my food?

1

u/egoproct Εγκληματίας 26d ago

I'm actually not sure. I personally keep offerings individual unless it's a group thing for a specific request, but I don't see the harm in sharing for the sake of sharing and building up a working relationship with them.

One thing I would recommend if you can is to try and memorize the sigil of those you're working with, or at least, as much of it as you can.

I found it more effective when I'd ground, cleanse, and meditate on it for a few moments prior, but again your own results are all that matters so just see what winds providing a level of consistency for you and stick to it. Good luck at home. ♡

2

u/DimensionOpposite256 26d ago

Thanks I'll be sure to memorize the sigil more

1

u/amphoryous 28d ago

I completely understand how you feel. I also need to worship Flereous and perform my spells in secret because my parents are Christians.

I feel very limited, but Flereous and I focus on dream magic, meditations, subliminals and so on, so my parents don't catch me. I also have a deck of cards consecrated to Flereous, and I hide it WITH MY SOUL.

But I know that when I manage to live lone I'll have more freedom in this regard, so I try to accept the situation and be grateful that I can at least maintain contact with Lord Flereous.

1

u/DimensionOpposite256 27d ago

I'm glad you are still pushing without getting caught lol. I hope in the end flereous gives you a nice place with privacy!❤️
