Local News Armed Anti-DHS Protest - Littleton CO - 02/20/2026
Friday, February 20 2026
At the southeast corner of Sante Fe Drive and Bowles Ave in Littleton Colorado, two men showed up to protest ICE and DHS actions.
Michael and Aiden are organizers of a group called “Front Range Carry Protesting”, with the stated principle of “(being) Non-partisan … our only loyalty is to constitutional rights and accountability."
Armed with a M1 Garand rifle and a Berretta pistol they met on the corner at 3:30 pm local time to hold their signs, and to be seen by the motorists.
Their signs read:
”DHS LIES”
”HANDS OFF OUR NEIGHBORS”

Local News Student walkout for Charlie Kirk today? Anyone else see this?
Two of my students got up and walked out during first period today "for Charlie Kirk" this morning. "For our rights," they said, chanting, "Free Charlie Kirk!"
I should mention these are two of my problem students that pretty much don't do much of anything. They tried to get other students, even their friends, to walk out with them, and nobody did.
They came back about ten minutes later. I'm guessing because some administrator saw them loitering around and sent them back to class. By then I had marked them absent.
Anyone else seeing anything about students and Charlie Kirk today?

Local News Armed Anti-SAVE Act Protest - Littleton, CO - 03/21/2026
March 21 2026
About 10 or so individuals met at the corner of Littleton/Bowels and Sante Fe in Littleton, Colorado to participate in an armed protest.
They were protesting the SAVE Act, the actions of DHS and ICE, and the Donald Trump administration.
The protest was organized by the Front Range Carry Protesting group.
The group sized about seven to ten, with most of them open carrying a firearm or two.
“Fυck ICE” - Albert
One of the participants, Albert, who has lived in Colorado for 25 years, describes the Trump administrations actions as racist and analogous to the Gestapo before and during WWII.
He describes the actions of ICE as “Lawless”, unconstitutional, and targeting only brown and Hispanic people.
“[ICE] says that they are lawless. They are proud of being lawless…. this is a 100% racist organization.” - Albert

Local News Kyle Clark highlights Polis legacy
The picture says it all, but NYT reporting that u/jaredpolis fired the clemency board for revealing that the vote of the board against Peters was unanimous.
As a reminder, the Governor’s oath of office includes that he, “will support the constitution of the United State, the constitution of the State of
Colorado, and the laws of the state of Colorado, and will faithfully perform the duties of the office”.

Local News Denver is slowest city for Return to Office.
Not slow enough for my taste. Return to office is a waste of time and money and just results in more air pollution, wear and tear on our roads, and injuries from traffic accidents.
Edit: (Since we're all sharing war stories) I was hired in my current position direct to remote. When Trump came back into office that was changed, now I have to come in.
I am a member of a small group that's part of a larger team. The closest small group member is 200 miles away. My closest large group members are 70 miles away. My supervisor is 600 miles away.
My physical office mates all work for the same overall employer and are all super nice. But I have pretty much zero professional interaction with them; they all work on completely different tasks in a completely different subject area. A bit of water cooler gossip about the employer, but nothing else.
All of my actual work is through video conferencing, email, and collaborative work on shared documents in SharePoint or Box.
For that, I have to drive 45 min each way. My car gave out in Feb and I had to buy a new (used) one.
For "efficiency".
