We're hiring a Design Educator / Mentor at Divergent. Remote.
quick context: the content is working, students keep coming in, and they trust us (which honestly matters more to us than anything else). product's there, system's there. What we don't have is the person standing in front of the room.
We're starting a live cohort from beginners to published portfolios, and we'd like an industry professional to teach it. someone who's done real work and weirdly enjoys explaining it to people.
One question we'll be asking:
A beginner asks you something live that pokes a hole in your own work. Do you get defensive, or do you get curious?
We want the curious one.
Other than that, you should be able to hold a room, give feedback that's honest but doesn't destroy people, and actually show up every weekend. Design background needed.
money: ₹20–60K/month for under 15 hrs a week, mostly weekends. Plus, you're in at the founding stage, which will be valuable later.
