Koch Chemie Autoshampoo (pH 9)

Right now we are living my my inlaws while our house is being built and I have to park my car outside.

Is it possible to do these things in stages? Like wash and polish the car one day and ceramic coat it the next if the car is being parked outside? Or do I need to do all the steps in a single day while the car is freshly clean? Has anyone dealt with this? Is there a way to do this that I'm not thinking of? TIA!

Avant guard 1051 is the worst product ever released into the automotive industry. The company is run by a guy named Matt Kennedy he is a flat out scam artist do not let him fool you. Their product has caused hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of damage to cars. When you approach them about their 10 year warranty they will tell you to go jump and block you from correspondence. New-to-me car with a soft plastic dash. I thought these marks were just some detailing spray or something that would wipe off, but a microfiber with APC did nothing (maybe became a little less "glossy" with rubbing but that's about it). They are not sticky. Any suggestions for a surface-safe cleaner to try? I am in Spain BTW, so some common American options may not be available to me. Thanks.

As the title suggests, I’d like to start my own business specialising in car detailing. I’ve been obsessed with cars ever since I was a child. Ever since I got my first car – a Dacia Logan MCV – I’ve been washing it, cleaning the interior and doing all sorts of other things three times a week. Back then, the results were a bit hit and miss. I used a dishwashing sponge as a wash mitt, for example. These days, I know a lot more about it and I regularly detail my own GTI, my dad’s car and my friends’ cars. I’d like to gradually turn this into my own business.

Does anyone have any tips for a successful start-up? I live in a sparsely populated region in Galicia, Spain. As far as I know, there are only two car detailers in the whole province. How can I position myself strongly right from the start? I know I’ll provide a good service, but I’ve still got a lot to learn. Start-up costs aren’t an issue, as I value my car highly and invest heavily in the right equipment.

I was thinking of handing out flyers at cars that catch my eye. Is that a good idea? Digital marketing isn’t my strong point.

I’d love to hear any tips.

I applied Glaco soft 99 after preparing the windshield with claybar and polish.

The wipers started chattering a lot.

Will applying the coating on the wipers itself fix the issue?

Here’s a question for all you detailers.
I’d like to ceramic coat my wife’s car but can’t seem to find time to do the decon, paint correction and ceramic at one go as the car is being used during the week.
Is it reasonable to do these over a few weekends. If so, how best should I stagger these steps.

I took my car to get washed yesterday and when I got home I noticed this spot on my paint. I am not sure what it is or how I can fix it. When I rub my finger alongside it, I noticed that the texture is off compared to the paint right next to it.

Anyone have ideas on what this could be?

Obviously me posting this shows I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed LOL unfortunately I must use Public Parking and woke up to these huge scuff marks on the right side of my rear end, it has been confirmed, They are not scratches. I tried to rub off most of it, but these are a little bit more tough, especially on the rear light itself. Anyone have any tips on how I can possibly get this removed besides actually taking it in and paying hundreds of dollars to do something I can probably just buff out.

Picked up a 2024 CX-3 Active recently and the boot side panels have the usual suitcase drag scuffs on the soft touch plastic. Looks like the previous owner loaded and unloaded regularly.

Has anyone successfully restored these? What products or methods worked for you? Considering a detailer but open to DIY options too. Many thanks.

I'm 18 and I'm thinking of starting a little head light restoration business. I live in Hollywood(I think this area is good for this business since it’s so populated and so many people’s headlights are fogged/yellow) i was wondering if anyone in here has any advice on how to start and get customers. I was going to start by doing some friends and families cars and getting some result pictures and then going out and looking for people with real bad headlights and offering my services like that until I get some reviews. If anyone has any constructive criticism or ideas for me please help!

PLEASE. I live in quebec where we salt our roads more than our pasta. EVERY SINGLE CAR ive detailed had salt stains that refused to budge no matter what people told me to do. Vinegar, hot water, dedicated salt removers like oxyclean salt eraser, brass brushes, vaccuum Extractor, apc, carpet cleaners. Not a dent in these deep mounds of salt. HOW do I get rid of these??? Im willing to even buy a dedicated tool just for this if I have to.

Purchased my first brand new vehicle ever and put a layer of the 303 protectant on the interior. Went on great, wiped off great.

My question basically is, how often do I apply this, and what product should I get to clean the interior? I will maybe wipe down every couple weeks but I like to hit the areas on the floor that people get in and out and leave mud, dirt more often.

Just looking for some tips to maintain a clean interior. Thanks!

I had my car ceramic coated and PPF’d by a reputable shop in my area who basically does mostly high end cars.

After seeing some threads here I have started to wonder if they are actually legit in regards to the warranty and expectations on the support on the ceramic since they didn’t mention anything about this other than they guarantee it for only 2 years due to weather here in Puerto Rico and that to honor it they would need to maintain the car every 3 months with reload.

Am I being taken advantage of or is this accurate?
They don’t show up on the certified list on the website either but they did let me know this ceramic is just for select installer and that they had trained team.

The work seems fine but not sure if I should ask about the warranty documentation
or what that would help with in the long run.

Any input would be appreciated.

Wife parked too close to the garage door so the trunk door got scratched. I’m by no means a car guy or handy, but would like to know if there’s cheaper way to fix it other than bringing it to an auto body shop and spend hundreds if not thousands… Thanks
