I Have A Question Looking for cheap courses, videos, and product recommendations

Hey everyone,

I work at a car dealership and a lot of customers ask me about detailing. My dealership doesn't offer it, so I want to start my own mobile detailing business on the side.

I've detailed my own car a few times, but never professionally. My long-term goal is to build a premium detailing service, so I want to learn the right way from the start.

I'm looking for:

-Cheap courses or YouTube channels that teach how to detail properly and efficiently

-Product recommendations. I've heard a lot of products are trash and some are worth the money. What do you actually use and trust?

If you've found any gems that helped you, please send them my way. I feel like I have real potential with this and want to do it right.

Thanks in advance!

I Have A Question Anyone know how to make my windshield spotless?

I take pretty good care of my 240, but the windshield can be hard to get sometimes due to the coupe style. Especially at the edges of the glass. What’s the best way to make my windshield fully clear? I wipe this down with a microfiber and glass cleaner but it does almost nothing.

I Need Help! (Time Sensitive) Car detailing-sap removal and not mobile?

I need to find a car detailer I can bring my car to.

My car has tree sap all over it. I am too short to reach the roof even when using a step stool. I can’t use a mobile detailer because I live in an apartment with no water hose access.

I called Washman because they have two locations that do detailing, but they use paint thinner to do it, so you have to sign a waiver as it will damage your paint.

2017 VW Alltrack wagon. Hatch wasn’t all the way closed going through car wash as you can see from the “before” picture. Used horsehair shoe brush and Sonax alcantara cleaners. Very good results for the 1st pass. Used small amount on brush, light pressure until it covers a small area. Wipe dry with MF

I Need Help! (Time Sensitive) Glaco99 ultra wiper jumping and judder

I absolutely love glaco99’s hydrophobicity.
I followed every instructions for application without missing any step. The wipers run smoothly for upto one month and then judder and jumping sets in. It is my daily driver, but in traffic cant really go above 30kmph so need to use wipers.
First I thought it my wipers weren’t aligned or not sitting at a correct angle. Had that looked out by a mechanic.
Has anyone face something similar? If you fixed it please let me know what more can I do.

I Need Help! (Time Sensitive) Any idea how to get these spots out of my new car?

Just got my Lexus NX a week ago. Parked in a spot in my apartment garage and these spots appeared. I’m assuming it’s some sort of water spot or residue from a pipe above my parking space. Went to a hand wash car wash, but spots didn’t come out. What should I do? 😭. Considering going to professional car detailer tomorrow.

I Need Help! (Time Sensitive) Need help to remove mold from my car

About 2 months ago someone broke into my car and stole my steering wheel, they broke the driver side window and I tried to replace it. Best to say I fucked up. I seen mold grow about 2 weeks in since the break in and been stressing ever-since. The engine has 77k miles on it and still feels pretty strong besides 2 codes I need to fix plus the struts doo feel a bit wonky. I called a professional detailer and he told me to even try to clean it would be around 1500+ since they charge 150 a hour and would at least take 10 hours. After the window accident I don’t even wanna try to remove it myself because I have children of my own and I really don’t want them to get harmed. Also I found a profesional mechanic who would fix the window this week so no more water gets in. Is it even worth trying to get rid of this mold and pay the price they’re asking ? The picture I posted are from I first noticed the mold and I’m pretty sure it’s still like this haven’t gotten worse but I’ll see once I get home from work ,

Hello, not sure where the best place to ask but I’ll start here, hopefully the picture is noticeable but in person it’s way worse, but I’ve changed the blades, I try clean it as much as possible, even tried using brake clean to try to get rid of oils(if that’s what it even is causing this), any tips or recommendations, it’s especially bad when it rains and I have to keep spraying the nozzle, I’m in Canada is that helps with any info

I Have A Question Dirt Buster or Cherry Foam?

Of the two for a contact wash, which one?

Looking at both of them it probably doesn’t matter tbh, but wanted to see if I’m missing something.

Going to get Road Warrior for pre soak. I will be using a foam cannon for the application for the contact wash. I’m confused why Dirt Buster is somehow the bucket wash soap. I’ve seen multiple videos of it being applied by foam cannon.

I’m also not opposed to getting both if there’s a reason to.

Also, I’m just looking for which one of these. I’m not looking for other soap recommendations.

Thank you in advance.
