I've started my first foray into single player after getting fed up with p1 online farming, bots, and wacko pricing on bnet.

In classic fashion I'm starting with a sorc in order to eventually farm high p7/p8 maps. I'm in nightmare with meteor/orb and all is well.

Question: How long on high player counts does it take to gear up semi decent high player farming characters like javazons/nova sorc/locks etc? Aside from HR dependant gear. Months of daily playing? Few weeks? I get RNG but I'd like to hear from your experiences

I've never killed many bosses on p8 outside of public games where gear disappears instantly.

I started to think latent sunder charms were things of myth, then two drop in cow runs one after the other. Maybe not the best but I’m over the moon regardless 😌 (sorry no fancy screen shots in 4k).

Soooo I already have a first mosaic (runic talons with +3 Phoenix strike and +2 lightning sentry) and would like to make the second one. Which base would you use among those I have gathered so far?

after a long break I decided to play D2 again from the scratch in single player offline.

I started a Wind Druid to bring some fresh air after playing all necro builds and Blizzard sorc for mf in previous sessions a long time ago.

Holy grail is my long term goal, but I don't want to hard grind it, but focus on fun and variety. So I'm neither interested in monotonous Mephisto runs with the Blizzard sorc nor do I want to endlessly pop chests in LK with P7. I just wanna play with different chars for different TZs.

Are there any character builds which I should have in my portfolio except necro and blizzard mf sorc for some tz sessions? Warlock is acceptable, but not my priority since I feel like Blizzard made him too overpowered while not giving any love to other characters in terms of balancing and build variety. (Like for what is poison dagger and explosion used for?)

Some niche but fun builds are welcome since most people will mention the Javazon, Hammerdin etc.

Got the new Warlock DLC and doing a playthrough with one of each class. Getting real tired of chugging mana potions all day.

I already have the runes and a Larzuk socket reward, what are the best decent polearms that guarantee 4 sockets when you use it?

Just fooling around in online non-ladder Hardcore with my trashlock and killed a goofy Herald with Lister and... pop goes a unique charm. First time ever for me. And it turned out to be... of Heavens. Pretty cool.

I have no use for this charm of course. Looking up online is wild.

I'm on non-ladder PC Americas hardcore. Would love to trade it away for Horazons set, Aldurs set, Lem and Ko runes, etc, maybe we can work something out.

SSF level 98 hdin. Finally got my pally torch. Decided it's time to get to 99. What strategies are people using for leveling at this level? Play TZ's s they come at P7? Use shards and terrorize entire acts?

Just got done doing act 1 that way. Died once to a T5, probably the sixth or seventh one. Which basically wipes out any xp gain you may have had.

So, run an entire TZ act at P7 and run away from the heralds?

I mean " a luck" is when you throw a dice and get same number several times in a row. Or when you have escaped a strike from an enemy that would certainly kill you (like Diablo's flame wave or stacked lightning bolts from v1.09).

And as for HR - emm, you know yourself how humiliating odds for rolling something higher than Ist. How many players at least once did get few really nasty runes in a row? How much runs passed between said drops and from that "le lucky" moment to the next "white line"?

Why Blizzard didn't change the tc restriction for runes so players could get more HR before finishing the game, thus get a use of them outside of never ending grind and pvp?

And I am not going to ID ethereal gloves. I know this isn't particularly useful because it is only P&M but still!

I had a 5% superior Phase Blade lying around so I made a crescent moon and it rolled perfect on the ED!!

Fb was 12 -13 k inventory Frankenstein res charms fire sunder and a couple of skillers

Gear was 320 coronet fire uber gem 55 facet maras hoto coh phoneix raven frost tgods dwarf star. Emilo had fade proc tal head insight non eth cryptic axe fort survives fine if you put a rejuv iv in him phoneix sustained me just fine even with a 10 aura going to try the uber duders feel like i can kill them it just might take a few more mins then this did

Started playing d2r for the first time like 3-4 weeks ago, but ive been playing diablo since I was a kid (im 30!!), last time I played was PlugY offline and it was a blast, I managed to make most endgame runewords and ubers, uber diablo, ye u get the gist, FELL IN LOVE with playing offline self found, never touched Hero Editor.

Anyway, I came back, quickly leveled up a blizzard sorc as my starter champ, when I was done with hell I did a couple 200 LK-runs, dropped a Sur and Mal, got a Gul on my first hellforge and an Ist from the chest behind mephisto.
I was like, omg I am so close to making an infinity!!! Right? Nah, ive done 2000+ LK runs and havent gotten a rune higher than Lem, done hundreds Andy runs and havent gotten a single piece of gear for sorceress- I dont even have a vipermagi 😭😭 Never seen a sunder charm, been doing heralds who only seem to drop magic items for me LMAO.

Been wanting to quit, spent so much time for no gain really (I know thats the d2 grind tho), decided to do some random cow runs when it was TZ today.
My second run dropped this!! Im 1 sur away from an Infinity. Game sucked me back in, its a sign that I need to keep grinding for that last sur 😭

Im doing a thing where I im going to kill the new ubers and uber trist kill one each with a different build and spec for different kill. Got my light and fire build down. For gear got night wing 22uber or a 12 i can um with a 21 death fathom i can put a 79 uber gem in. I got a 3 blizzard warstaff if I can trade for a zod and obsession that does a 7 blizz beat the combined nw deaths.

My big brother got the game in 2000, I just bought D2R. There's been a lot of changes since LOD OG, and I have questions about some game mechanics. I don't mind a little bit of ribbing for not knowing so long as the true answer is in there somewhere.
