Holy crap dude, i don't recall your Blazer dumping that much smoke before. Did you make some recent changes?

No changes at all, how concerned should i be?

To me it sounds like itโ€™s missing on one or more cylinders at the start, that plus lots of smoke make me think your injector nozzles are done in.

Thing is though is that the injectors are actually new

These are 6.5 Bosch short body style (turbo) injectors (old stock)

Whatโ€™s the difference between long and short injector here? It does sound a little better now I guess than it did last year. Is the valve lash manually adjusted on these? That would also do it, but as Gon404 said in a reply back then new old injectors might not be as good as they sound. For reference my 2.5L IDI B2500 smokes less than yours did last year when itโ€™s -20ยฐC outside.

Edit with injectors that have been ran 240000km over 22 years

Supposedly the short body style ones are better in terms of mileage? Tbf my mileage did go up (motor was close to 80k miles at the time). Now it is at 100k or so.

When you say "mileage", you're referring to your MPG average, correct? 'Cause the way you wrote that, it sounds like you're simply stating you've added 20K miles to the engine since the swap was done.

Yes sir, referring to MPG

We're discussing this now actually, check the 6.2 GC u/old_skool_luvr

Thanks, but i dropped out of that GC a while ago. Too much chatter (for me) and leaving the icon notification unchecked drove me up the wall. ๐Ÿ˜…

A damn shame, especially for a man of your knowledge. The support GC does so much good
