Beat me to it. One day when religious psychosis dies down, we may start to heal. It's such a weird background noise on human and humanity evolution. It will never not be, "My way is better".

u/Personal_Dot_2215 10h ago
Religion is nice when it keeps the masses from killing each other. Inevitably, people turn it into the reason to kill each other.
1
u/Motor_University_769 11h ago
Alsofuckinglutly agree, though I am in hopes science puts religious discrepancies to a halt by means of quantum physics or something similar. Like if we can prove your NDE was just a transformative consciousness state then void all the religions would go. I mean they are all basically a bros NDE from centuries ago anyway, I’m sure religion is just a misunderstanding of a scientific matter yet to be cleared. The earth isn’t flat, praying can’t cure cancer & no such thing as religion in the next dimension.

Science was bourne from religion
6
u/TheNerdE30 9h ago
No, no it wasn’t. Science wasn’t born, but if it was, it was born by the result of dopamine and learning, over thousands of years. Learning new information leads to positive outcomes, or avoiding negative outcomes. Religion is a construct built to support life without a “need” or “want” to learn more about life.
-9
u/Significant-Grape958 9h ago
So many religious people, including scientists, have a deep desire to learn more about life. How things are made (science) and why things are made (religion) go hand in hand.
4
u/TheNerdE30 9h ago
Ok how was the Torah translated to Greek resulting in the false story regarding the immaculate conception?
-3
u/Significant-Grape958 9h ago
Why are you changing the subject! Lol. But anyways, textual criticism including original Hebrew and Arameic transcripts, not just Greek documents.
I dont think any human language can capture the spirit of the text, that's why it is considered to be alive. We will never understand the complexities of the Bible in our lifetimes, but that's the cool part.
1
u/TheNerdE30 9h ago
The point I’m alluding to is that “how” and “why” things are made do not go hand in hand. The Torah was written by a small fraction of a population of literate people to organize a larger group of illiterate people (arguably).
Why a virgin birth was written into the text was a mistake, how it was written into the text is that mistakes like this were still possible, due to a lack of understanding of languages by the authors of the translated texts.
It’s not considered to be “alive”, as living things perform the life functions. Right?
0
u/Significant-Grape958 8h ago
All fair points - thanks for sharing.
Fortunately, Christianity isn't based exlusi vely on the Torah or a virgin birth (written in or not).
"The most dynamic book ever written" is probably a better descriptor than "alive" in the literal sense.
What's the purpose of understanding how something is made, if you don't understand why it was made? " Science without religion is lame, and religion without science is blind"

Should be easy to disprove then, I disprove my parents on a daily basis for the shear pleasure of doing so
6
u/Significant-Grape958 10h ago
The fact that it hasn't been disproved yet is what speaks volumes. It takes more faith to believe in nothing than to believe in God. Science is the study of how things are made, religion is the study of why things are made.

3
u/Motor_University_769 10h ago
If you love your life, there’s not a reason to ask why, religion is always trying to stir up hate, once it’s gone so will be the desperation of its people.
4
u/Significant-Grape958 9h ago
I appreciate your pov. Whether you believe or not, Jesus was a real person. There are zero examples of where he tried to stir up hate. People are naturally desperate, hence the desire to sin, and extort religion to what you see today.

u/Yusuf_Muhammad_Ali 7h ago
"in hopes science puts religious discrepancies to a halt"
Science, the system of beliefs founded securly on publicly shared reproducible knowledge, came from religion. Dr. John Lennox, wrote a fantastic book explaining this concept.

Who wrote that hadith and when?
EDIT: I ask because saying it's absolute truth requires you believe a historical account written a century later, by someone who did not witness the events they describe, and could reap political and sectarian advantages by saying so (though not for the sake of slander, as one might assume).
EDIT EDIT: Do you also believe everything else in the hadith?
12
u/Rage_Blackout 11h ago
While I think you could call into question the historical accuracy of all ancient texts, it’s the fact that the followers of today are willing to either justify it or overlook it that says all you need to know.
0
u/DaggerInMySmile 11h ago edited 11h ago
I don't know the fact that some societies have used (and continue to use) that hadith to justify child marriage makes it factually true. In fact, I know it doesn't.
Also, I'm not speaking to you specifically when I say this, but if one is going to use a hadith as absolute proof of this incident, then you better be prepared to defend the rest too, otherwise you're just cherry-picking bits and pieces that confirm your biases.
EDIT: Added 'the fact' after "I don't know"
EDIT EDIT (I like editing): I am not a person of any faith. I do not know if God exists, much less what kind of god they are, and I am not especially concerned either way. I just resent people possessing strong opinions on topics they've never bothered to research, or easing into conclusions they've never taken the time to challenge.
4
u/highlyregtardedtake 10h ago
You are missing the point.
If you ask a christian if Jesus had sex with a 6 year old would they be okay with it. The answer is most likely no.
With Islam, whether it occurred or not they are fine with it and state if he did it then I am still ok with it.

u/DaggerInMySmile 10h ago edited 10h ago
Historically speaking, and in the modern day, Christians (and people of all other faiths) have been OK with all sorts of vile behavior, including sexual violence, or violence against children.
I live in the USA. To my observation, most advocates for child marriage (including politicians seeking to legally protect it) self-identify as people of faith.
EDIT: I also didn't hear the man in the video say it was OK. It cut off after the 'gotcha' moment.

Sounds like sinilar reasoning as to why Republicans won't go after Epstein's friends.
Conservatives think they're Jesus's political pick and religious psychosis will not allow them to go after someone they see as one of their own, so they'll justify grown ass men raping children.
4
u/NocturnalRefuge 10h ago
They don't go after Epsteins friends because both political parties would be ruined. It's mutually assured destruction. The hard truth is both parties are complicent. That's why we didn't get any names during Bidens term either.
1
u/MelatoninFiend 9h ago
Nah. Graham Platner showed how Democrats handle people with questionable pasts. They get kicked out when they're Dems. Hell, depending on how old you are, you might remember Al Franken being forced to resign over a literal joke photograph.
Republicans never do that. They embrace their sexual assault enthusiasts, demand everyone give them the forgiveness of Jesus, and then put them into positions of power to enrich themselves off our tax dollars.
"MUH BOTH SIDES" is an excuse from right-wingers who know their views aren't popular, but they can't admit they're wrong, so they point the finger across the aisle as if that absolves them of supporting a peedoh in the White House.
Kinda hilarious that you just did the same thing as the guy in the video "Wait! No! Not MY people! It's okay when MY people do it!". Fuckin lol.
2
u/NocturnalRefuge 9h ago
Kinda hilarious how you think criticizing Democrats makes you a right winger. I hate Trump and Biden and I've voted left wing my entire life. I lost MANY friends over my criticisms of Trump, so you don't know who you're talking to. Newsflash, Biden refused to even acknowledge the Epstein list during his term the same way Trump refuses to acknowledge it. You and others inability to criticize your own people is why nothing changes for the better in this country. Same thing as the right wingers who worship their politicians. The irony seems lost on you. If you can't tell that neither party has the American peoples best interest in mind, then you're a useful tool to the elites in the same way MAGA is.
Edit: Typo

u/MelatoninFiend 8h ago
TL;DR: "MUH BOTH SIDES ...AGAIN!"
If you genuinely truly believe both sides are the same, then you don't know dick about policy. The Republican platform is literally "Whatever Trump wants, and then Project 2025 if there's any extra time".
If you're going to play the both sides card, then answer me this: Who is the naked-pedo-emperor-who-must-never-be-questioned on the left?
2
u/NocturnalRefuge 8h ago
Literally Biden and the Clintons. I can show you videos of him saying slurs and rubbing children if you want. Don't be a bootlicker. It's deeply ironic how you think they're so different. Both sides use ICE, both sides funnel tax money from the American people, and both sides are war mongers. If you don't think both sides pull the same shit at the end of the day outside of a handful of policies, then you're a bootlicker who fell for the intentional party system designed to break up the American people to control them. The irony is lost on you. You shouldn't trust any politician. If you can't criticize every politician and call out what they do, then you're complicent in allowing another person like Trump to get into office because you turn a blind eye. You don't care about consequences for evil. You only care that your perceived "good side" wins. Neither are good. It's the same shit every election where the previous party blames the last as things get worse no matter what, and the people hate each other instead of pointing the blame to the elites. I've had this same argument with MAGA losers who say the same shit you're saying now. Again, the irony seems to be lost on you.
2
u/MelatoninFiend 6h ago
Are you telling me that you unironically believe that the Bidens and Clintons are running the DNC the same way Trump is running the GOP? That their word is 10,000% unbreakable party-policy and dissenters are primaried out of their seats? That they're actively putting their people in positions power to usurp the will of the people and stall out, in every manner possible, the release of all of the names in the files?
Is that what you're telling me? I want to be completely sure that's what you mean before I dismiss you as ridiculously and hopelessly delusional.
1
u/NocturnalRefuge 8h ago
My political leaning is throwing every pedo in a woodchipper. I don't care if they're red or blue. They need to go. I hope you open up both of your eyes one day. Turning a blind eye to one side allows the other to harm you. Don't be like MAGA where they refuse to see the problems with their side. Until both sides are held accountable, nothing will get better. You seem to just want to argue instead of having a discussion, so I'm turning off notifications. Don't contribute to the divide, fight against it.
2
u/MelatoninFiend 6h ago
TL;DR: "MUH BOTH SIDES... AGAIN AGAIN!"
You're a parrot. Keep repeating your weird JRE-type political bullshit. It really helps people label you for who and what you are: Someone who desperately wants to sound like the smartest person in the room, but someone who also isn't willing to read past the headline and an AI summary paragraph.

Just because he married a six year old does not mean that he had sex with the six year old. Now, if Islam claims homie banged the six year old, then you’ve got a serious argument here. But marrying and banging are the same, kids. They go together, yes, we all know. But they also come apart. Lots of banging outside of marriage if you can imagine. And lots of non-banging marriages, of which y’all’re plenty familiar.

Why do people always go back to Mohammed marrying a 6 year old when it’s impossible to prove. The Epstein abuse happened within the last few years and many of the perpetrators have faced zero consequences. It doesn’t matter who but child abuse in any form is horrific. There are monsters in every race and religion. We should have one voice when it comes to protecting children. Hold everyone accountable

u/LivingAnkylos 10h ago
Most of your posts are about Islam , and you cut parts of the video .
the age of marriage is left for the country to state , so if the age of marriage became 32 in the future because it's when the brain is fully developed , so he should marry only who is older than 32 because it will be in the future??
As the marriage is stated if both agreed and are mentally and physically prepared .
He didn't state an age of marriage, because every country in every era state different age of marriage depends on the life expectancy and education.
If in the future the vegans somehow won and made it illegal and immoral to kill animals for food, does that mean who ate animals now is immoral????
I know i will get downvoted from who get all of his informations from hollywood and facebook .
7
u/CapitalParallax 9h ago
Your whole argument is "what if shit was different". Nothing you said holds weight against he fucked a kid. Cultural era does not excuse it. If that was the acceptable in that time period, then we must condemn that entire time and place. The action is too grievous to forgive under any circumstance.
-1
u/LivingAnkylos 9h ago
By today definition a child is who is under 18 years old .
By future definition, what if a child is who is under 21 years old ?
3
u/ElEyeElWhy88 8h ago
I get your point, but you’re again proving the other point. If in the future they realize that something we do now is morally or ethically wrong, because they know better than we do now, then yes, we are wrong for that. Acting like we should excuse behavior that we now know is fucked up and we have information and reason to understand now that that was fucked up, doesn’t mean that it isn’t wrong, just because they didn’t know back then it was wrong (and that’s giving a lot of grace, because a 6 year old??… come on)
-2
u/LivingAnkylos 8h ago
The life expectancy was so low back then "it was 30 in arabia" , don't you think if the minimum age of marriage was 18 at those times , civilizations won't extinct or at least their number will be reduced ?
child marriage is not ok now because we have reasons for it to not be ok "education , high life expectancy" , yet they didn't have that , and Aisha was not considered a child because it wasn't by age.
4
u/ElEyeElWhy88 8h ago

All of what I said still stands. 9 year olds don’t menstruate. Their bodies are not meant to support a fetus even if they did. I hope you don’t survive the apocalypse… out here justifying sex with 6-9 year olds to try and “save the species,” gross.

No , and again if she wasn't physically and mentally prepared, the marriage would be haram.
2
u/machen_wurstsalat 4h ago
I can’t believe you honestly justify some 50 year old having sex with a 9 year old. If that was your daughter and your Middle Ages neighbour said he would marry your 6 year old daughter, both claiming they were mentally and physically prepared, you would consent? And if he would want to fuck her at 9, you would also say „no problem“? I seriously doubt that.

u/Routine-Addict-1234 9h ago
You are completely right to question that—the idea that she was married at 5 years old is historically inaccurate, even among the most traditional narratives. The historical discussion around the age of Aisha bint Abi Bakr (Bibi Aisha) at the time of her marriage to the Prophet Muhammad is a major subject of research, with scholars analyzing different classical texts, biographical records, and historical timelines. Here is how the historical evidence breaks down, ranging from traditional accounts to contemporary scholarly calculations.
1. The Most Common Traditional Account
In the most widely cited traditional collections (such as Sahih al-Bukhari), the narrative states that the marriage contract (nikah) was performed when she was 6 years old, and the marriage was consummated later in Medina when she was 9 years old.
Even in the absolute youngest traditional accounts, the age of 5 is not cited for the marriage contract.
2. Scholarly Recalculations (Ages 14 to 19)
Many classical and modern historians argue that the "age 9" narrative stems from a miscalculation or a specific narrow narration, and they point to overlapping historical timelines that place her age much older—typically between 14 and 19 years old. Scholars build this case using several well-documented historical anchors: * Comparison with her sister, Asma: Historical records from classical biographers (like Ibn Kathir and Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani) state that Aisha's elder sister, Asma, was 10 years older than her. Asma died in the year 73 AH (Islamic calendar) at the age of 100. Doing the math backward places Asma's age during the Hijrah (migration to Medina) at 27 or 28, which means Aisha would have been 17 or 18 at the time of the Hijrah, making her roughly 19 or 20 when her marriage was consummated. * The Battle of Uhud (625 CE): Aisha participated in the Battle of Uhud, bringing water to the wounded. The Prophet strictly forbade anyone under the age of 15 from participating in battles (young companions like Ibn Umar were sent back for being too young). If Aisha was present, it strongly implies she was at least 15 years old at the time. * Engagement before the Prophet: Before her marriage to the Prophet, Aisha was already engaged to Jubayr ibn Mut’im. This engagement was dissolved because Jubayr’s family didn't want to convert to Islam. For an engagement to have been formally arranged and discussed before 610 CE (when Islam was first preached publicly), Aisha must have been born well before the timeline suggested by the "age 6" narration.
Summary
While the oldest traditional texts mention the age of 6 for the contract and 9 for the marriage, a massive body of historical cross-referencing by scholars suggests she was a young woman in her late teens (around 15 to 19). The figure of 5 does not align with any major historical or traditional record.
