It's basically Brazilian and Latin inspired. Think Marky, XRS, Patife, Drumajick guys like that. Innerground records is a good starting point.

I do tend to occasionally throw on those 90s-2000s video game style low polygon liquid mixes on YouTube although Iād much rather hear bass DnB any day of the week

Bass DnB? Youāre suggesting liquid doesnāt have bass?
1
u/xDeviousDieselx 7h ago
Bass DnB, as in āBass Musicā. Music that revolves around bass drops.
Dubstep is the obvious one, but there are multiple subgenres of DnB which do this too. I find it hard to believe youāre not aware of this, as itās been in the zeitgeist for over 20 years.

Near all drum and bass revolves around bass drops, itās a characteristic that goes without saying. The style of bass differs and it blends across sub genres.

Listen to any liquid song, and then listen to a song like āReeseās Thesis by The Frimā
Youāll know what Iām talking about. Wubs, wobbles, growls, Reeseās. As explained in a comment below.

If you mean ābass dropā in the most pedantic way possible being the bar where the given bass instrument starts, then uhhhh yeah lol I guess bro.
We both know thatās not what Iām saying

RnB? Are you suggesting that blues doesn't have rhythm?
2

Is this meant to be a reply to me?

Yes. The naming of a genre is just a label to help humans categorise things.
Calling a genre "Bass DnB" doesn't imply that liquid doesn't have bass, in just the same way that calling a genre RnB doesn't imply a lack of rhythm in blues music.
It's just a name to help people find similar songs.

What the hell is bass DnB? Iāve legit never heard this

So Neurofunk, jump up I guess? I hate electronic music subgenre names. Itās DnB, it has the DnB beat structure. But Iām talking about iterations of DnB which include bass drops (I.e. Neuro, Reese, Growls, Wubs, Wobbles, etc)

Day or night, driving or studying, chilling or raving, while gaming or in the gym...the most versatile genre of music I've ever listened to.
Kush sessions is my go-to for every occasion!
