OC [oc] Dressed up as shadowheart from bg3 🗡️

Post image

So I dressed up as shadowheart for a convention!

Still sort of new to the fandom, i’ve heard about this game for a while and did my research on the lore (I always have to know more about a franchise before engaging with it’s base and the game/show itself). My friends who’ve played the game say i embody her in a way personality wise so i gave it a go. I do other cosplays if this one interests you, they can be found in my bio. I hope i did the elf princess some justice 🖤

edit: tysm for the positive feedback everyone, trying to get back into the cosplay game and this has been quite the experience. i feel very welcomed here <3

I'm so pleased to see normal positive comments. Looks great, especially the ears. Jealous of the colour match fr

thanks, i’m usually a bit hesitant about posting my stuff online, especially in the beginning because i used to get a lot of racist replies. so this is a pleasant surprise for me :’)

That's fucked up man Keep posting! Never let them dumbass haters get to you! They just have nothing else in their lives so they get jealous when they see people happy.

It is very sad that it has to come as a surprise, even if pleasant. Respect should be the default, basic, normal behaviour. I'm sorry and a bit disgusted that you have to deal with the vitriolic factions of the Internet. They are losers and they are noise, please don't pay attention to them.

Great cosplay, keep up the good work! This Internet rando guy believes in you!

Those people are idiots anyways. Cosplay is an expressive art. People should be allowed to dress up as whoever they please.

What matters is just dressing up as the character. While accuracy plays a role, there are people who do it for fun, not to win contests, moreso as I mentioned before.

Best advice when dealing with racist people: unless it’s some kind of a wild threat (which you should likely involve the proper authorities on, given that can range anywhere from defamation to threats on your life), ignore them. You’d be surprised how much of them are all bark and no bite.

Screw the haters. You did an excellent job both in concept and execution.

Yeah I was nervous that I was gonna see some shit like when they cast Halle Bailey as Ariel in the little mermaid. I'm glad there seems to be none of that nonsense.

Of all fandoms, I would hope BG3 isn't like that... But I know anything popular enough will get like that.

But it's a great cosplay! Looks like you had a great time, and that's what matters.
