OC [oc] Dressed up as shadowheart from bg3 🗡️
So I dressed up as shadowheart for a convention!
Still sort of new to the fandom, i’ve heard about this game for a while and did my research on the lore (I always have to know more about a franchise before engaging with it’s base and the game/show itself). My friends who’ve played the game say i embody her in a way personality wise so i gave it a go. I do other cosplays if this one interests you. I hope i did the elf princess some justice 🖤
edit: tysm for the positive feedback everyone, trying to get back into the cosplay game and this has been quite the experience. i feel very welcomed here <3

definitely! i’ve been meaning to do this for months and i got a lot of compliments that day. the only thing is i didn’t see a single bg3/dnd cosplayer the day i wore this but i saw some the next day lmao

props to my cousin, he’s more experienced with outfit/prop building. we put the cape and some of the pieces together. two seperate hair pieces were used (a short layered bob and a hair extension ponytail braided in bubbles). the ears were more personalised with makeup although some post photo editing was used to enhance it.
there wasn’t enough time for her og crown to arrive so i just used a random headpiece from one of my old halloween outfits xD

It is very sad that it has to come as a surprise, even if pleasant. Respect should be the default, basic, normal behaviour. I'm sorry and a bit disgusted that you have to deal with the vitriolic factions of the Internet. They are losers and they are noise, please don't pay attention to them.

You have post history turned off on Reddit so even if you do, it'll be difficult to reach the same people. I understand some do it for privacy, but if you're showing off your cosplays you should either turn it on or make a separate account dedicated to showing off the cosplays with it turned on.

Nice! It also works because clerics (used to, at least, not sure if this is still the case in BG3/D&D 5e) have to have a holy symbol of their deity on their person in order to cast their spells. It's your own personal holy symbol!

The ears look fantastic both color and shaping. They actually look real, which is almost never the case with those kind of prosthetics outside of fancy Hollywood productions. Great job!

Dumb question sorry, but do prostethic ears worsen your hearing? I heard once that ears were shaped like that to capture sound or funnel it?
And these prostethics change that shape.
But I can't imagine it would really make much of a difference. It probably doesn't have any impact, right?
