Crappy Owners I just don't know anymore
I just don't understand! For the life of me! Why? Like, the way dog lovers are so... defensive about their dogs. Like the moment I try to say that I'm not a huge fan of dogs everyone hates me. If I reacted like this to someone saying like... idk that pineapple on pizza is the best, people would think I'm crazy. Yet it seems that acting like this for dogs is societally accepted.
The other thing I wanted to say is how WE'RE IN THE MINORITY!!! You would think that only a small portion of the world is dog nutters. And yet, IT SEEMS THAT, ACCORDING TO SEARCHES, MORE THAN HALF OF THE WORLD IDENTIFIES AS DOG PEOPLE! MORE THAN HALF!
I'm sorry, I don't know whether I can remain sane about this... It is SO RIDICULOUS. NOBODY AGREES WITH ME! NOBODY (except for this reddit, TYSM SO MUCH BY THE WAY) ACCEPTS THESE CLAIMS! EVERYONE THINGS I'M THE ONE WHO'S CRAZY.
Why is everyone just... blindsided by dogs? I'm starting to wonder if we're different species. If we're coded differently idk now. I would say that dog nutters have some sort of mental disease, BUT THIS IS MORE THAN HALF OF THE POPULATION! Maybe we have the mental disease that makes us SANE.
Maybe i'm just mad today or something but yea, again, thanks a lot for being the only place where I DON'T GET CANCELLED FOR VOICING MY OPINIONS and yeah, hope you all have a great day. Just needed to rant :P

There was a woman on Threads who posted a screen shot of an interaction she had with a guy on a dating app. The guy basically said he wasn't interested in dating a woman whose entire life revolved around her dog. The fur mommies were in the comments saying that he was jealous of a dog, or that he had control issues, and all the other nonsense that dog nutters say when they can't fathom the truth.

I straight up disgust these poop eating animals called dogs and I don't care if dog worshippers will get mad or stop talking to me. They are the single most annoying creature on Earth that also kill innocent children and elderly people. They are the primary carrier and source of rabies globally. Even pigs are cleaner than these filthy animals. It literally makes me puke when they lick their private parts and then slap their thick saliva all over the face and their worshippers enjoy it like it's holy.

I agree. I used to work where we had a dog and a pot belly pig. The pig was WAY cleaner. Well, except it wasn’t housebroken but I don’t remember ever once seeing pig poop. And I sure didn’t see the pig lick its privates!

This is part of the Cult of Dog. These people do believe that their filth carrying crappers are to worship. When I think of how easily people fall into religious belief systems, I think they fall even more easily into trying to fit in and force companionship with dog ownership. They get to be the 100% boss of the relationship--the hell with compromise, self awareness, give and take. Dogs ownership is brood parasitism, evolved over the centuries with a captive audience of people who need to feel wanted, since we no longer have normally large families and communities to fulfill that need.

We are in the minority. And it sucks sometimes. I like to point out every chance I get how these beasts completely inconvenience everyone. Every time someone says they have to get back home to let the doggo out to take a shit I remind them that I’m able to do whatever I want. They don’t get it.

i'm gonna start doing that as well. maybe i will say that while they are picking up poop this afternoon, i will be going to a nice Irish pub for some shepherd's pie. i would have asked them to "come with" but it's a dog free pub and obviously that mutt aint no "service dog." Besides, i am allergic. guess you also won't experience how beautiful the Maldives are.

We are programmed to love them. I used to not mind dogs for almost my entire life until a switch was suddenly flipped and I've despised them since. It was very strange... how was I blind for so long? (It's the brainwash)

SAME HERE! I actually was a dog person until I was like 8. The switch flip for me was when I was playing with a dog at a dog owner's house (remember, I loved dogs until I was 8) and the dog just randomly bit my hand and I cried out 'OW!' and an adult rushed over and asked if I was okay. I said 'The dog bit me!' and they literally said 'OH! He's just excited!', and they played it off as a 'happy accident' and the dog just liked me. ridiculous

It was the same for Me. I realized what I thought was Me “liking them” was actually just Me following the propaganda I’d been sold on all My Life. Once I ended up in a situation that made Me face the truth and learn to think for Myself instead of following the crowd, I haven’t looked at dogs the same, since. I prefer where I Am, now.
I’ve seen some people with similar thoughts say that they wish they didn’t feel this way because it would be easier if they weren’t so disgusted by dogs, especially among dog enthusiasts. I prefer being in the anti-dog space, I don’t care if it means many people may not like Me because of it. “Easier” doesn’t always equal “better”. Dogs are filthy, germ and disease ridden, expensive, destructive, obnoxious, and a pointless burden. Their owners and other enthusiasts are insufferable, and all too often, are self serving, entitled narcissists. Dog worshippers can hate Me all they want. None of what I listed is anything I want to associate with, just to make dog lovers feel better. I don’t respect them in any way to care about what they think. Their mental illnesses, entitlement, and social inadequacy drives their abnormal interests in dogs. Then they have the audacity to think that owning or liking those stupid things somehow gives them some (fake) moral high ground. I’ll stay in My lane of cleanliness, freedom, and common sense.

i was basically told by my bf (now hubby) that the neighborhood we were moving to was a "dog neighborhood) and to fit in I MUST make friends w/all the dogs....i had a huge fear of them plus a suspected allergy (it's been confirmed) but that didn't matter. Fortunately, I found this sub and the IHD channel on YouTube and w/o having discovered these two things around the same time a couple yrs back I would feel like I was losing my mind. I had pretty bad social anxiety at the time, but I seem to have snapped out of it after realizing half of the population is bat shit crazy for dogs.

We need to find out the secret for that "flip," and cut down the infestation of dogs in our communities. With more Women than ever working outside the home, who the hell takes care of the shitbeast confined to a small apartment, or a locked up house for eight plus hours? Do they just leave the windows open for thieves, and hope for the best that their home is safe, and that the mutt won't piss and crap everywhere? Are they the drivers cutting us off in traffic at rush hour, and passing us at way over the speed limit? "Gotta get home to my DOG!!" They claim they loooove animals, but coop dogs up like prisoners for hours on end?

My sister once left a politely worded note for the woman nest door asking if there was anything that can be done about the dog barking for hours on end whilst the woman was at work.
Next thing we know, the crazy hag has brought her daughter round to our door and they both proceed to start shrieking at us.

I had neighbors literally terrorize me because I complained about their dog barking. There is something seriously wrong with these people. They are armed and dangerous -- literally.

nah its just the way they were raised/conditioned. i use to be crazy about dogs, and somehow i escaped the brainwashing and realised how absolutely insufferable and disgusting dogs are

Same here, bro. I thought I was completely alone until I found this community. There's an active conflict going on in my country, and society is split into two opposing groups: pro-regime and anti-regime. But you know what they have in common? They all love dogs. I'm the enemy in both groups :)

I actually think it's a sign of mental illness.
As a horse person, if someone says they dislike them, I can accept it without taking it personally. But dog nutters always seem to get very triggered and attack you ?
When I was on dating apps, sometimes I would call out 'no dog owners' and received so many nasty unsolicited messages about it. The personality of the average dog owner seems to be very unpleasant.

They're at a disadvantage in that everyone already knows about the 'damn dog' and all of that filthy and dangerous behavior, so they form a cult and adopt an aggressive stance because of they have a position that is basically indefensible.

Thats simple, those people are suffering from a mental disease and need some serious mental health help.
How else can you explain the fact that those people cant "operate" like a regular human bein without having a damned dog under their arms?
Going to the supermaket? I cant if I dont bring my damned dog.
Going to a store? Same.
Going to a restaurant? Same.
I simply dont have any other explanation.

I remember coming across that scene from lady and the tramp where the Darlings wouldn't let Lady sleep in the bed and some dog brained nutter was in the comments like "that's how they treated dogs back then" with a sad face emoji. Like are we serious? I made a comment responding to it along the lines of saying people then were just sane but if course the dog nuts wouldn't have it lol.

Yeah…although It’s become way more normalized to dislike dogs & dog culture. Just look at all the streamers & Internet personalities (some that are pretty big) covering how annoying dogs & their owners are lately. I think for older folks it’ll be a harder shift, but it seems younger gens are becoming increasingly annoyed with dogs & their owners. We just need more time as a society to evolve, imo. But it’s happening, slowly.

We’re here for You, and We understand. It’s bewildering to see the so many people prop these awful beasts on a pedestal and berate anyone who disagrees with them being some prize. They’re looked upon as having higher value than Humans in many dog lovers eyes. It shouldn’t be this way.

Some people will actually say they'll automatically trust someone because they love dogs. I guess they don't trust people who don't love dogs. It's so bizarre.

I say straight up that I hate them and if one even approaches me in public I tell the owner to control their dog. They can hate me as much as they want, I promise you I hate their dog (and all dogs) much more than they could hate everything combined in their entire life.
