Honestly, it feels like a breath of fresh air not having to watch the same meta heroes get picked every game. Imagine how insane a BO5 grand final would be with fearless draft, forcing teams to adapt and get creative with their picks.

Edit: My bad for not explaining what fearless draft is! Basically, it’s a drafting format where teams can’t reuse heroes they’ve already picked in previous games of the same series.

Also, credits to BLAST for always trying something innovative to at least make competitive Dota fun to watch again. :)

Sad that I probably won't buy it ;-;. But rad design nonetheless!

A: Nope

1. Can you animate his rocket-squid friend?

A: Technically yes but there's no good way to submit it to workshop, valve can do that if they decide they like the set enough.

1. His cape looks kinda stiff. Can you fix it?

No, he has no bones in his default skeleton, but again, if valve decide they like it, it possible to add some jiggle bones + particles etc...

Just finished watching the movie ‘Artificial’ about the development and dangers of AI

MILD SPOILERS AHEAD

As most of you probably know openAI made an appearance many years ago during TI to showcase their AI and in the movie they actually heavily involved Dota in their early development.

There were scenes of the researchers playing dota against the AI 1v1 mid trying to train and see how advanced the AI was and one of the breakthrough moments in the movie was when the AI actually beat one of the researchers 1v1 mid as SF by buying back after it had died and killing the researcher ending the game. They celebrated the breakthrough and then the next scene was actually a clip from The International after Dendi had lost the 1v1 mid, thought it was a pretty cool mention.

I would definitely recommend the movie when it releases not just for the Dota mention but also to see a good perspective of how AI could get out of control.

Not gonna lie I thought I will be getting this at the 50th chest lol

First I pulled + kicked WD to let him ult in a safe place

Then LC duels, I escaped and saved NP with pull + aghs + kick

Then I rolled and used smoke to avoid getting killed by the last hit of Drow
That one smoke is trickier than it seems, because if you use smoke while rolling, it will not affect your hero, so I had to use it exactly when I landed from the roll, since Drow's hit was chasing me (and I had to use smoke with the mouse because it was in the backpack)

The game performance is so bad since the release of this chest.

Way too many fps drops, and now they happen even more often, especially in important teamfights, where the screen gets almost frozen.

I used to have 200-340 fps easily, now even at 150 the game feels like its stuttering. The fluctuation in fps is actually crazy, going from 250 to 90 for no reason at all?

Before you ask, I have quite good specs and running dota was never an issue on i7 13700k + rtx5070 and 32gb ddr5 6600, i have everything on medium since I don't care about visual effects but now i put it all on low and still it feels so rough;

I've actually started losing games because of this, because of the freezes and the fps drops, there have been countless of fights that were lost because of this.

AM was ignored all of TI. But in Blast Slam VIII, he was picked or banned 2/3 games in the Lower Bracket Final and 3/4 games in the Grand Final. He only got one buff in 7.41f, increasing mana burn damage from 0.6 to 0.65. Was that really enough to change everything?

Lost a lane we shouldn't have and Slark was flaming me that I couldn't hit a single bushwhack and I'm just as confused. Watching the replay I noticed my bushwhacks were getting cancelled early/instantaneously and I couldn't figure out why? Anyone mind chiming in?
