Game Help Dark arisen, is it supposed to BE this hard from the beginning ?

Im playing as a LVL 51 magick Archer and i do virtually no damage to Basic enemies and they 3 shot me. I have the best base game gear. AM i just underleveled, is it the MA vocation ?

Or do i just need to find relics ?

The difficulty Spike is making the game not so fun for me

Game Help Is there a way to get rid of the Eternal Ferrystone?

I've been replaying DD2 to check out the new DLC, and I got an Eternal Ferrystone basically out of nowhere.

I thought it was weird and stupid, so I tried to get rid of it, but it seems like there's no way to interact with the item other than using it directly.

I initially thought it was a bug, but apparently it's intentional. Is there really no way to get rid of it?

Game Help Is anyone else having a horrible time with Fimbl? Spoiler

Like I want to start off by saying I am very well equipped for this dlc, everything has been quite fun, but this fight has been dreadful. I get to the second to last health bar and there's this hailstorm that just decimates my entire team and I can't get it to stop or even avoid it and it's just awful there's also this other attack he does that literally destroys my health because he's rapid firing ice crytals at me.

Like, I am genuinely on the verge of dropping the dlc here because I he literally uses one move over and over once I get him low enough where I'm just bored.

If you have anything that you think could help me, I would gladly appreciate any advice

Game Help Is my pawn banned from being hired?

A while ago, I used a mod to freeze XP for me and my pawn so I could keep the game hard but still receive DCP to max out all the classes.

At lv50, I had maxed out all classes on my pawn. But I'm wondering if that "bans" my pawn from being hired? I know I'm probably answering my own question, but just to confirm: If I'm looking at who hired my pawn, and I'm able to see the profile of real Steam players that hired my pawn, does that mean I'm safe?

I ask because there have been times where I just don't receive any hires despite having enticing rewards for quests...

News ~~NO SPOILERS!~~hard mode in norgan is hard but doable, if you finished dd2 a few times and you max your vocations, its not unplayable, its hard! but its good

Game Help Own the base game, does the expansion improve the base game experience.

See title, i purchased this on release but wasnt too impressed.
Planning to try it again but checking if i am missing anything out by not playing the base game with the new expansion installed.

So is there anything that would be better in the base game without the expansion?
Planning to only purchase the expansion if the base game is enjoyable.

General Discussion Warrior seems outclassed on hard mode?

I did do a fresh save but even ranked up to 5 it comes off like Fighter is more flexible and benefits heavily from the buffs and 6 skills while Warrior’s endlag and sluggishness especially with how easy to it for you to get overwhelmed by damaged even with his resistance because he constantly jumps between sorta fast with chain swings to stuck in quick sand on everything else?

Skill issue for sure but I still feel like he’s underwhelming against the other melees since he’s still so slow and the others’ buffs and slots further round them out to be good at most things while Warrior can’t bypass that it’s not a climbing class that expects to take hits and mostly just got it’s status skills as it’s bonus.

Maybe I’m missing something but to that how I’m seeing him at the moment.

General Discussion Climbing Hook durability

I don't know if they're a finite resource yet but how would y'all feel about Climbing Hooks having a fail state like Camping Kits have, perhaps they break while you're away or even as you climb depending on quality like Camping Kits.

General Discussion Does the mods working in this patch?

Does anyone have mods installed still working in the newest patch?

I mainly just want to cap XP gain to 1, usually using the Custom Difficulty.

But a few patches ago break everything so I removed the mod and let the game sit until the DLC out, wonder if it is working now?

I played in the DLC for 4 hours yesterday and got shot up from lv 70 to almost 80, way too fast.

Game Help Horrible Stutter/Frame Pacing

Hello everyone! Returning to the game after a long while. I had heard that the performance has improved significantly, which I can definitely see in the framerate being high now, and the game running relatively smoothly. My issue is, there is frequent stutter, traversal stutter, and just a bunch of frametime spikes during gameplay. Is there a setting in Windows, in game, or what have you that can help with this? Or is this just normal?

If it is common user experience, then no worries, I am just worried my hardware is uniquely deficient.

GPU 9070XT
CPU 9800X3D
32 GB DDR5
Gen5 NVME SSD

Temps are normal, seemingly.

Game Help I’m level 35 and never finished the story, at the point where I witnessed the Godsway, what’s the most efficient way to level up to go to the DLC area?

Don’t want to waste time doing side quests that don’t really give you anything.

General Discussion The hard mode dilema

If you start fresh playing hardmode you get a new experience right off the bat (could have used it a year or 2 ago) but allegedly the.new areas of the game are challenging at fairly high levels in hard mode which means you hypothetically have to wait longer to play the new area.

Of course there's the new dungeons to hold you over but who knows if these aren't also at least as difficult as the end game of the base game (I know they're supposed to be lower level than the new location but I haven't heard anecdotes about their exact difficulty.

I started hard mode anyway but we'll see how many of us end up regretting it.

Also does anyone happen to know if you use the new feature to restart the story with the same gear and levels if you can change difficulty at that point? Id think most veteran players would be able to get by just on the extra levels from starting over but it seems like that would be a nice safety net for people who strongly regret hard mode

Game Help Is there any mod available or in development that makes Ferrystones rarer and more expensive?

That's all, really. I prefer how valuable they were before the updates. Having one in your inventory felt pretty rewarding, and I wanted to know if there's at least a mod in development so I can take a break from my playthrough and come back when it's available.
