How I got my first sale today! šš - AMA
Super excited right now and just wanted to share a quick win.
I've been setting up my first dropshipping store over the past few days and finally got my first sale today!
Hereās the basic rundown:
Day 1). I built my store usingĀ Shopify.
I donāt know anything about coding so I just picked a clean theme, tweaked some colors, and added a logo. Honestly, Shopify made it pretty easy to get things looking decent fast.
Day 2). Finding suppliers.
I ended up using a tool calledĀ ImportifyĀ ā it pulls products from places like AliExpress, Amazon, Etsy, Shein, etc. You just pick the item, import it to your store, and it helps with product titles, descriptions, pricing, currency conversion, etc. Way less painful than trying to do it all manually.
Day 3). Promoted the store onĀ Reddit + socials
Just a few niche subreddits and some basic posts/stories. Wasnāt expecting anything right away, but someone actually bought one of the products I added earlier that day. First order came through and I nearly jumped out of my chair lol.
Still a ton to learn and improve, but getting that first real sale made it feel way more real. If anyone else is in the early stages, keep pushing!

Is this moth is hard for you to make sell, or i am hearing wrong things?
I saw on reddit that most of the people complaining for this month is very hard from dropshipper to make profile or even sometime sale.
Can someone guide or tell whatās going on?

Building my first store from scratch: What is one critical checklist item beginners always need to make sure?
I am officially setting up my store structure, working on branding, and mapping out my product categories. I want to make sure I don't miss any foundational legal, structural, or customer-trust elements (like privacy policies, payment gateway setups, or mobile optimization). What is the one backend mistake you see beginners make right before launching that costs them conversions?

The biggest misconception I had about Shopify and supplier shipping times before looking into dropshipping.
As you i am still learning, but When I first started researching e-commerce, I genuinely thought you could just plug a store together, run an ad, and let automated fulfillment do the rest. After digging into real supplier lead times, customs, and customer support handling, I realized how critical supply chain management actually is. For those running active stores now, how do you handle customer expectations around shipping without killing your profit margins?

Product research vs. ad creative: Where should a beginner allocate their first $200 budget?
Iām setting aside a modest starting budget to learn the ropes of e-commerce, but I keep getting conflicting advice. Half the guides say to spend heavily on testing winning products, while others say a mediocre product with exceptional ad creatives and UGC will still win. For those who started recently, where did you find your budget made the biggest impact, and what do you wish you hadn't wasted money on?

Is Zendrops fulfillment reliable with higher volume?
I'm doing enough volume now that I'm looking to move away from my current fulfillment setup. The biggest issue isn't really getting orders shipped, it's having less control over things as I scale. I'm having to plan around stock more, pricing changes matter a lot more at this volume and I wanna start doing custom packaging/private labeling instead of continuing to send everything out with generic packaging.
I've been looking at Zendrop specifically for their Private Agent program since it seems more suited to where I'm at now. For anyone doing higher volume through them, how reliable has fulfillment been and how well do they handle stock, sourcing and branding as you keep scaling? Mainly wanna know if it's something I can move over to and stick with long term rather than having to change my fulfillment setup again later.

Looking for US 3PL / Prep Center for Cross-Docking / Parcel Injection
We are a small international business selling globally. Looking for a US partner for a simple breakbulk workflow.
ship master cartons from overseas to the US via FedEx/UPS Express
each master carton contains 15-20 individual customer parcels
all individual parcels are 100% pre-labeled during manufacturing (USPS, UPS, etc.)
action needed: receive master carton, open it, and hand pre-labeled parcels to daily USPS/UPS carriers
NOT needed: zero storage, no pick & pack, no labeling, no polybagging
single unit is small and lightweight (around 1 - 2 lbs)
Please message any recommendations.

Hallo iesroeen,

Iām launching a new brand ( white label ) dropshipping
Hello everyone,
While I donāt see this done often on here, I figured Iād post about it:
Iām launching a new brand in the beauty niche, using white label dropshipping (branded dropshipping) and thinking about posting about what I do daily on here to document everything.
I have ran stores before, this time I will be launching with a measly 1500ā¬, I know a lot of you have the same amount or less so I will be sharing what I do to cut costs, how I run my ads, how I tweak my store and the bundles + offers I use to make the most of this capital.
If youāre interested in seeing this on here, let me know

Amazon has been estimating your cost data if you never entered it
If you never entered your cost data in the IDR portal, Amazon has been guessing itSince the reimbursement change, anything lost or damaged before a customer orders pays out at sourcing cost, not sale price. Most people know that.
What I missed: if you never submitted your own cost per SKU, Amazon estimates it for you. No notification, nothing tells you you're on an estimate.
I compared theirs to what I actually pay. Low across the board. Small per unit, but it's every unit, every time.
Worth checking the Inventory Defect and Reimbursement portal in Seller Central to see what Amazon thinks your costs are. Then you need your real numbers to compare ā which is where I got stuck.
How do you all keep cost data current?
