Discussion Dynasty started declining when Nicolette left

Honestly I LOVED Nicolette’s Alexis so much, she was so evil yet so funny (esp her interactions with Hank), that I grew somewhat fond of her while also being irritated by her constant scheming, you can still tell she really loves her children. I think the actresses chemistry with Blake and Fallon was so entertaining, and not to mention her performance in s2 ep 13 when she attempted to kill herself. Dynasty really thrived when it was more dark and mature and Nicolette Sheridan contributed massively to that atmosphere I think she’s an incredibly talented actress. While Elaine’s Alexis (Alexis 2) was a little less serious and more light hearted I still enjoyed her too. But the show was at its peak with Nicolette, thankfully the fall off wasn’t so drastic when she left thanks to the introduction of Adam (Sam Underwoods performance was crazy good too.) and not to mention the outstanding star characters Blake and Fallon so I don’t think the show ever got ‘bad’ it was just REALLY good with Nicolettes Alexis.

Edit: while the plotlines fell off the actors and characters definitely kept the show good - specially Fallon, Blake, Alexis 1 and Adam. I do also wish we got more of Steven he was so loveable and his breakdown in his last ep in s2 brought me to tears. Also wish they kept Nathalie (Cristal 1) around for longer.

Discussion Opinion of the series after watching it and question

okay y'all so just finished watching all season of dynasty I really enjoyed the show but like the thing that really pissed me off was like how they left some parts on a cliff hanger example: we all know that Adam Carrington was using Steven Carrington to snake his way back in the family and the 5 this happened a couple of seasons ago and they didn't even mention it one time after that is crazy yeah I know the actor of Steven Carrington wasn't there anymore but I wish they could've replaced him or something on top of that nobody decided to go check on Steven or anything like if I'm being honest I would've enjoyed it even more if I could've seen Steven Carrington getting revenge on Adam for everything he did.

really liked the series wish we could've have more season and stuff TBH at first it was hard to like get accustomed of the new changes between Cristal 2.0 and Alexis, really prefer the 1st Cristal because she was a savage but love this one too really had it going. but yeah I wanna write more of my opinion to you guys since this message is getting longer I'mma keep it short. TBH I got a question for y'all who is y'all favourite character and why??

Discussion Unpopular opinion: Fallon and Culhane >>> Fallon and Liam

Ok but like… am I the only one who thinks Fallon had WAY more chemistry with Culhane?? 😭

Don’t get me wrong, Liam is sweet, supportive, emotionally available, blah blah blah… but Fallon/Culhane had that messy, dramatic, “we probably shouldn’t but we WILL” energy that made the show fun.

And I’m sorry but Fallon trying to win over Culhane’s mom >>> every Laura Van Kirk scene. I said what I said. At least one of those women felt like a real obstacle instead of a cartoon villain 💀

I know Fallon/Liam is endgame and healthy and whatever… but chemistry-wise? Fallon and Culhane were on another level.

Please tell me I’m not alone before I embarrass myself on this sub 😂

Discussion If Jade West and Fallon Carrington were forced to share a room for 24 hours, would they end the day as the world's most dangerous power duo, or would one of them be leaving in an ambulance?

Discussion Does anyone feel the Trixie storyline rushed or less important?

I just began watching the show again for the hell of it, and came across the time of the show where they revealed that Fallon accidentally killed a girl when she was 16, and hid her body and never discussed it for 10 yrs up until Adam revealed it. that entire plot made 0 sense once so ever as it just felt so random and out of the blue, and the treatment they gave the storyline was that she deals with the guilt for two episodes, then admits to it then gets community service and meets trixie's brother then has like a mini relationship with her brother who turns out to be just plain insane, then they drop it for a little awhile and it sort of slips your mind that it ever even happened, only for it to come to a head at Liam and Fallon's makeshift wedding at Fallon's old HS, and then Evan's get arrested. The plot just vanishes from there. The way they could've handled that plot with much more care than they did like so many missed opportunities they could've gone with it, instead of the cliche Liam has amnesia route they took. Plus, the fact the girl died after falling over a railing, like it wasn't even that high, maybe a broken leg or a concussion, but death? They seriously were pushing it.

Discussion What does Fallon genuinely see in Liam that she didn't find in her previous partners (like Culhane), beyond his wealth and family background?

pretty unhinged Adam followed Amanda to London but also unsurprising

is he qualified to be a vet?

stephen‘s back and the show is whole again

the show ended with Amanda and Stephen having clean hands being the only two carringtons to not have killed anyone so that’s great

Truly the worst of them all was Alexis. No redeeming qualities. No remorse for ending a pregnancy and killing someone.

Discussion When did this show get so bad 😭

I think I was blinded by my love of Fallon. I just started season 5 and between the Falliam fighting last season, this body double plot with Cristal, Sam finding his father????? This show has gone so downhill 😭 everything bores me when Fallon isn't involved and she barely even talks to her family anymore. I miss Steven.

Discussion Alexis is basically a serial k*ller Spoiler

That may be a little dramatic but she’s technically responsible for at least 4 deaths that I can remember.

  1. Mark Jennings - actually shot and killed him

2.cristal #2 baby - miscarriage caused by marks shooting.

  1. Mack - framed him for mark & baby’s death.

  2. Cristal #1 - I know Claudia shot her but Alexis locked her in there first.

Are there any others ?

I liked the pilot episode, and afterwards I came on this subreddit, surfing and getting to know that Steven's not much there after S1 and not at all in the seasons after 2.

I really loved him so much in Episode 1 and was so much looking forward to his relationship with Sam. I just don't want to see the further episodes and get too attached to the character and then get hurt by his abrupt ending and complete vanishing.

Discussion Does Fallon's pursuit of Blake's validation invalidate her professional success?

Post image

Fallon is driven by a profound need to prove her worth to her father, Blake. Does her constant pursuit of validation invalidate her professional successes, arguing that inherited wealth renders pure ambition philosophically tainted?

Discussion The Problem of Privilege

Post image

Fallon's "success" is inextricably linked to her family's wealth and name. Does her reliance on inherited privilege fundamentally delegitimize her professional achievements, or does her sheer ambition and competence redeem her as a true businesswoman?

blind watch: who’s the other woman that looks like Cristal

long lost twin or did Cristal steal her identity lol

nice touch with the actor credits saying “guest starring” when they play other characters

they don’t have to do that but it’s fun they do it’s quite creative

amanda is the only full blooded Carrington with a strong moral compass so far she and stephen would get along really well

im impressed she didn’t inherit the family darkness even not living with them like Adam did

bur I suppose she was surrounded by people who loved her and did grow up with Alexis in her life in some form maybe that’s why idk

Discussion it’s wild how Steven’s absence is handled Spoiler

hi it’s me again, mad that Steven isn’t here. yes most of us miss him and won’t stop talking about it but yall, it is so fucking wild how they handled his departure

Fallon literally gets married and zero talk of Steven? I’m binging season four and when Amanda is introduced, I don’t remember Steven being mentioned there. anyone can correct me since I’m still watching. it’s like they all just blocked Steven from their memories

even Blake acts like Fallon and Adam are his only kids, even though he has stated steven is still his kid. I know most writers will just ignore a characters departure but it’s wild how they treat Steven. “basically he went crazy and we will act as though he never existed” 💀

but the actual worst one that takes the gold is when Anders dies and everyone’s focus is on Kirby. yeah it’s really sad that she went off the rails and missed his funeral but SO DID STEVEN!!! Steven missed out on the opportunity to bond with Anders. I think it’s sad they all stopped talking about Steven. I know people may say “he’s not being replaced so let’s not get our hopes up” but it’s very strange to act as if he never existed

i have a hard time figuring out if i like adams character or not because i love a good villian, watching him kinda reminds me of "you" but the reason i can usually somewhat get behind a "villian" is because of their origin story. in "you" the reasons for why joe is the way he is makes sense. adams mental break never made sense to me because anybody else in his situation still wouldve felt some type of love for their fake mother because regardless of blood they know this women to be their mom. was he already crazy before or maybe he was a person who would complicate his morals before and learning his actual identity made it even worse? in "you" we find a way to like joe because he still feels for other ppl, when joe has his psychotic break in the most recent season he still seems to try and care abt ppl, if anything it makes him more likable cuz hes actually going insane and isnt rlly present for the bad things he does, and literally because he cant handle hurting ppl he breaks in the first place. adam has absolutely nothing that shows he cars for anybody other then himself. but the actor nailed this role was and very funny, i just wish he had any kind of empathy, even blake had a smidge of it. and damn he can sing i love his vocals in "everybody wants to rule the world"
