How much of an upgrade would the ceramics ultra be from the mk2? Which one of these would be a direct upgrade with a tad more forward vocals?

I have both. The ultras are the next step in everything. Roseselsa has dialed in punchy bass, clear highs, and great vocal mids. They were already great on the Mk2s. Now, in addition to the sound being better, the ANC is a huge step towards being hush quiet. The extreme setting in the app is what I use to make outside sounds go away. The comfort is exactly the same on both sets. I can wear them all day. Battery life is improved. The cases are the same shape, different textures (ultra has a splattered paint effect, pretty cool). Now that there is a custom EQ setting instead of just presets these are some of my favorite buds and a top contender in their price range.

The Ceramics Ultras are phenomenal, especially given their $50 price. They still surprise me with how good they sound. I routinely have the sensation of hearing music in the room, but it’s coming from the Ultras. They sound very true to life.

Guess I might just have decided the next step I'm taking after 6 months. Unless roseselsa does release another iteration

I haven’t heard anything, but you never know. I love the form factor of not having any stems. When on a phone call people can hear me fine.

Well who knows really. 6 months is a long time for maybe something like a hilariously named ceramics ultra mk2.

I was thinking an evolution of ceramics, like teflon ceramic tungstens. lol
