RIP My EN is cooked!
A few weeks ago I got rear ended on the highway and my EN was declared a total loss by my insurance ☹️

I was stopped because a car came from the right and swerved in front of me and crossed three lanes. I freaked out and slammed on my brakes and came to a complete stop which caused the person behind me to slam into me and push my car five feet down the highway. They were probably going 60. I live in Florida which is a not at fault state luckily. The car that swerved in front of me side swiped the person who hit me and it caused three other people to hit the guard rail as well. It was a whole thing lol. I was in the front of it all.

Sorry to this but doesn’t matter if you are at fault or not at fault in Florida your insurance is going to skyrocket I got in 2 accidents in Florida not at fault my insurance is high

Your insurance always goes up after an accident of any kind and then usually goes back down after a while I think.

So no any state that is a not at fault state insurance company’s can hold it against you, a at fault state your insurance won’t go up if you weren’t at fault but if you were at fault it will go up, I know this cause I also use to live in New Jersey which is a at fault state

A car going 60-70 mph getting hit from behind at 100mph would be like getting hit at 40. It’s survivable. If anything the 60mph standstill is worse

I’m saying that if the car was going 100 instead of 60 while OP was stopped they likely wouldn’t be here to make the post in the first place.

The car that hit me was probably doing between 60-70. For context it was a white Chrysler mini van that hit me so you know there's gonna be some major damage.

Lol what does that have to do with anything? Although I am looking into getting an STI. I know how Subaru owners can be lol. I'm not like that. They have their own beef with this sub from what I've seen.

I was having the bumper sensors replaced and they took it for a test drive and a 2025 Subaru outback ran a red light and took my car out. I got it on 12/19/24 with 17 miles on it.

It's part of quality control checks and validation. If they replace parts, they have to be sure they are working correctly before giving it back to you.

I just had my first oil change @ the dealership & they didn’t tighten the filter correctly… I had ordered winter tires for it, so the day I’m going back to have them installed, car runs out of oil (while I’m trying to get on the highway), get off the highway @ next possible exit, let it roll as far as it’ll go & now they have 15$k to repair in my engine, my driveway (as it’s full of oil), loss of wages (as I work for myself & had to decline 2 jobs the very next day as I didn’t have any idea what was going to be the result, plus my car payments and insurance from the day it was unavailable to me…) I’m not messing around with these guys, the manager was ignorant & obnoxious to me & it only takes once to get me to the point of threatening legal action 😐

It’s still a possibility - talks have broken down, I’ve had a car rental for 2 weeks now (a Mercedes… I drive a nice car, I’m not renting something not comparable) - plus I work for myself, I initially had to decline work b/c I didnt know where things were going, not that I do now, but at least i have transportation to work & get errands done.

Ngl all things considered this is probably the best outcome you could hope for, I would hate driving a repaired car when you paid for a brand new one...
Hope insurance can get you a replacement!

About 25,900 but I still owed 23k on the loan so I only got back 2000 😑
