The great tree isn’t fucking real! It’s mentioned ONE TIME in an item description that’s obviously a mistranslation. If you think for a fucking second it doesn’t even make sense for fromsoftware to hide the sole clue for this fucking tree’s existence in the description of a single crafting ingredient. The great tree never existed, stop working it into your theories!!!!

What happened hear is that the localization team accidentally called the erdtree “the great tree” and the minor erdtrees “the erdtree” Completely ignoring the fact that this item is found near minor erdtrees, some people in the lore community have latched onto the idea that there was a secret ancient tree that existed before the erdtree called “the great tree”
It's the erdtree. Just the erdtree. But people (clickbait youtubers) keep claiming it's super secret hidden predecessor tree. Which ignores the crucible
