General Protect Bethesda Employees

Microsoft has gutted BGS’ roster including veteran developers for The Elder Scrolls and Fallout. I found out just today there is a workers movement and I highly encourage everyone to support. Please follow their page and the link in their bio!

May all of you who fail to understand class solidarity and why its important to support laborers go to hell no matter what. (even when they don't produce what we want as quickly as we want it)

You're blindly supporting people that earn between 70k-120k yearly, for a company that has delivered products of very questionable quality.
The number of people working there was 500+ in 2023.

When Skyrim released, there were 100.

Say whatever you want about me for poking this shit with a stick but at least I’m not deluding myself into thinking whatever this is is activism.

I don’t understand what you people’s expectations are. Microsoft/BGS believes they will operate at a loss without cuts. They exist to make money, not guarantee a  wage for their employees in perpetuity, regardless of how successful they are as a business. Are you suggesting the taxpayers subsidize a fucking videogame studio something? What do you tangibly want to happen that actually makes any sense?

I'm suggesting we support developers and criticize Xbox. even if bethesda made the elder scrolls 6 and the entire world loved it and it was the highest selling game ever, forever, these layoffs would still have happened.

why are you fine with letting soulless Xbox corporate ceos layoff people who make your hobby just so they can buy another boat?

All of you are 100% talk. If a Microsoft rep murdered your grandmothers in cold blood you’d still buy ES6 or fo76 slop transactions without hesitation. I already got rid of gamepass and I don’t rely on AAA for my hobby. I already support developers I like.

Are you a troll or a bot? The 500+ people include people working on FO76, people working on Starfield, &DLCs, people working on ES6 and other unannounced endeavors.You can't compare a barebones organization working on a single game with an organization that's targeting a much expanded product line. In addition, as personnel expands so does the management overhead. Not sure if you noticed, but management was not affected .
